I'd pick it back up again if it was £14.99 on steam or something, sort of like Starmade, I paid for that despite it being free in the past because I want to see it be developed more, it could go on early access too. He'll then have a basis for a steady income, people might actually notice the game exists, and plenty of other features that steam provides for Early Access games.

I don't play this but I have lots of fun reading the thread and seeing all this mafia stuff going on. It's just like real life universe expansion :v:

I've actually come to appreciate making the game pay-to-play, even if I'm not going to sub yet. Haxus is updating regularly now and my hope that the game will live up to its potential is now rekindled.

Hold the fuck up. It's back!? Can someone fill me in on what's happened? I scanned a few pages and I've gathered it costs money now and I'm guessing micro transactions are a thing too?

Basically, it came back as pay-to-play. The universe is smaller, then was recently expanded a bit with the neutral zone just being opened as well. As for in-game politics, the syndicate immediately claimed a large area and started sieging it up. There have been some resistance alliances but they haven't really stopped the syndicate. I left a while ago, right before syndicate decided to decree that everyone, save a few, must become vassals or it's exterminatus time. Edit: Haxus has actually been updating it semi-frequently too, he just released another update yesterday I believe.

Also people are calling the police because they're losing the game now. Yes this actually happened.

I felt masochistic and wanted to play this game and now i see its pay 2 play? Oh... edit: Eh, i was even ready to pay money to play but they don't accept paysafecard so i can't. Farewell hazeron you will never be forgotten.

It really wouldnt be the same anyway, since Syndicate lost their spot from just not playing. The game seems to average 3 players online at most times.

Good to see it's still around and updating. I tried playing it again a couple months ago, but gave up after essentially being a one-man empire.
