does anyone know that if after Haxus releases the full game if he is ever going to redo the graphics? Its not an ugly game but it could use some polishing. I think the graphics and the issue of "what does a player do?" are the two biggest barriers to entry

I would much, MUCH rather him work on those first before he goes on to clean up the graphics.

Hopefully as he continues to optimize it will get good enough so as to make it seem like a normal game

I've done it, I've started a city with a modest but growing population of 50. The stone and metal industry is growing, and we have much oil. Hehehe.

I haven't played this game in a long time, and I don't think I played it for long when I did. Is it possible to have a "successful" empire solo, or am I going to need to find people to help? Would it be easier to just join someone else?

Over halfway through designing buildings. Then I can remake my city properly. So many buildings. We should keep a list of the numerous empires here so we know who we cool with.

Turns out my planet has rather short day cycles, and the peninsula that F7 told me I was on is in fact an island. Can one build some sort of bridge over shallow water, or is it going to have to be boats?

This turns it into "flatten" mode, which you might be able to use to raise the land above the water table. otherwise yea boats or SUVs or rockets, etc

I imagine that it's easy enough just in your first solar system, but when you start expanding is when shit gets hard to deal with by yourself.

Although if you want to join an empire, I still need oil. I have rockets enough for scouting around, but my FPS has been abysmal lately so I haven't been out since my first flight. Or, hell, if you really want you can join my empire and take a rocket + backpack with some basic supplies in it, fly wherever you want, and then make your own. I'm pretty sure you can do that. I wouldn't mind giving to FPers a little bit, just don't bankrupt me out of materials or rockets. [editline]24th August 2013[/editline] Automerge, fuck.

I doubt if bullion production actually was bugged for me yesterday before restart, since I had tons of issues with my metal being drained untill I removed a factory which made nothing but bullions, after which it was fine (or it was my new smelters and ore mines finally kicking in)

I do not, but haxus really gotta fix shit when it comes to earning cash, as my government is in debt with me while the citizens have insane amounts of cash due to bullion production (which for some reason does not go to the government?)

So place one near your airport area(s), which should be relatively near your village center to allow easy access for new players.
