I sometimes wish pirates would spawn in systems inhabited and visited frequently by players so i'd have something to blow up and justify the expenditure on this ship.

So I got tired of using sub par materials. Using that handy dandy scouter app, I found a system that has at least tl24 worthy mats. I loaded my prototype LRISC-W class noncombat exploration and cargo vessel with the best technology and goods of my home world. Soon, I will have an entire system dedicated to the production of warp ships. I have to admit though, colonizing an entire system myself will be tough, so if any of you kind folks would like to pitch in and lend a hand, I'd appreciate it. P.s. if you do help, I'll give every participating empire tech and a ship, once they start coming off the assembly line! I'm going to bed now. Hit me up in steam tommorow if yo j terested

Right, I've got two stations set up orbiting two planets, can you actually transfer stuff from their hold, coming from the planet to your ship? Or will you just have to buy stuff through Hail>solicit thingy, or using an officer?

Pretty fast, well armoured, armed, and I crammed as much usefulness into it as I could without it looking terrible or being a pain to navigate. Everything looks nice, and there is even some interior detail, especially in the engine room. I used small sensor rooms and sensor equipment as a sort of generic machinery.

Server crashes just as I was monitoring my officer performing his first atmospheric harvesting mission :/ The bugger orbited the planet, the crew spouted a lot of gibberish, and left the planet without harvesting a damn thing. I cancelled the orders to land on the homeworld and sell the (non-existent) cargo, in an attempt to force them to harvest, and at that point the server stops responding :/ [editline]2nd September 2013[/editline] Oh wait, server says it's up, but i'm stuck in limbo :/ What is there that I can do about it?
From what I've seen on youtube this game seems pretty laggy? Or like, movements are. Is it still so on the current version? Been thinking of downloading this game and giving it a shot. But if there's one thing I can't stand it's laggy/slow movements etc. :)
I just had a great idea on how to fuck with someone's colony: Sell them a lot of high-tier condominium, apartment and house tech :v:

Download the client solely to then burn it. You will not like this game. You trying SoH would be like taking a car enthusiast to a car-compactor and telling him his car's been towed.

The "movement lag" is just the lack of clientside prediction, so your movement request gets sent and processed by the server, and then you get your information back, and you move. One gets used to it, and if you manage to get past that and the somewhat odd interface, it's a fun game. You just gotta be a bit patient.
Been stuck in limbo nearly the whole day :c (well, since I started playing today) Never going to try automatic atmosphere harvesting after that, that's for sure. My officer can go fuck himself on some desolate moon colony for all I care. Only problem is the gas giant has ~100QL cryozine, while the frigid and solid planets have some in the low 70s. Looks like i'm going to have to colonise another system, and that means setting up an automated trade route via ship since airport terminals and brokers don't trade with other systems iirc. [editline]2nd September 2013[/editline] Seems my character sorted itself out. Finally got the automated cryozine harvesting sorted out. Out of curiosity, will an officer-controlled ship automatically return to the nearest port to refuel if fuel drops below a certain percentage? I haven't got the harvesting times just right yet, and i'd rather not have to rescue the ship at some point if it runs out of fuel and the crew go all retarded.
