So I was reading some of this game's history and found out that my home planet is in old Facepunch Empire territory.

It'd be equally awesome if ships didn't just go boom, but could fall apart from damage. There was one space game in the same vein as Corneroids and Starmade that was implementing something like that, being able to cut ships in half if one wanted to.

Bit of a bastard to find out what keeps eating up all my mechanical parts when i've got shit spread out all over the place. Going to move all my manufacturing to one of my resource zones with nothing worthwhile on it.
I built another ship backwards... goddamnit. Is there a 3rd party program that lets me flip designs or something?
I built another ship backwards... goddamnit.
Bit of a bastard to find out what keeps eating up all my mechanical parts when i've got shit spread out all over the place. Going to move all my manufacturing to one of my resource zones with nothing worthwhile on it.
Heavy weapons manufacturing?
Heavy weapons manufacturing?
Yeah, turned out that was the cause :v: It's okay though; i've got more oil than OPEC so I just set up another plastic factory to shit out the parts.
I built another ship backwards... goddamnit. Is there a 3rd party program that lets me flip designs or something?
Yeah, actually. Shores Offline Design Studio does a really good job of everything and is way more like a CAD program than the official one, and I just love it because it's so smooth and stuff. http://hazeron.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3015 Don't use the experimental version (_X.35), it exports to some weird .shipx format that Shores can't load properly.
I wish the official design studio had better movement outside of F6 mode. like god damn atleast get some sort of frictionless RTS-esque controls in there.

This acts just like Move Forward except that you don't have to hold it down to keep going. It can be combined with the Run modifier. It also works when you are riding a mount. The default mapping is the Q button, configurable on the Settings window.
Hell yes.
Finally found a wormhole path to a certain somebody's city: [t]http://gyazo.com/ca107fa601a36a301042c2e16d84449f.png[/t] [sp]Also Jad you're not getting taxes because you don't have a bank [/sp]
I do, I just wasn't producing bullion. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] I'm on if you wanna stop by again X6Z, sorry I missed you.
I do, I just wasn't producing bullion. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] I'm on if you wanna stop by again X6Z, sorry I missed you.
Okay, but it will be a bit. AFAIK the trip takes 48 minutes using the path I found.
I do, I just wasn't producing bullion.
Does having a full machine shop producing an entire row of bullion will get me more money? Will I inflate my econony or something? [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] also goddamn i'm experiencing a hardcore metal shortage and when i fix it something else gets in the way then there's another metal shortage. time to look for another ore source.
I feel like I've been sandbagging myself. I've been specifically making sure I produce more of everything than is taken for production, and have been working my way through every item I can currently make doing it. On one hand I have around 66,600 (having been sitting at this cap for almost a week now -- too lazy to progress at the moment) of a good portion of resources and items in the game (is it necessary to have that many suits of armor for later on? serious question), but I've yet to even make a rocket. Not sure if I'm being smart and planning ahead or wasting the time anymore.
I'm joining Crotia, where am I needed? Also, what's the password?
Just got taken on a quick show of my system. Was great and I got an idea of where to plant colonies. Feels like I'm making a lot of progress now. Just gotta build a few more things before I start a ship. Namely that damn nuke plant. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] Does anyone on FP have like a building pack? Sick of the defaults.
One of the things I severely hate about this game is that people are dicks. How can you see fun in conquering empires who have no way to fight back? I have to pack up and leave my home system to avoid some asshole waving a TL31 ship around my TL2 face

I don't mind if it's permanent or temporary.
As much as I appreciate the gesture, the planet is actually a moon, and the sector is still fairly close to mine.
As much as I appreciate the gesture, the planet is actually a moon, and the sector is still fairly close to mine.
Ah. Well, if I can help in any way, just let me know. Feel bad that this happened right after you helped me. [editline]5th September 2013[/editline] At the very least I bumped my tribute up to the max. If I could I'd just send straight cash your way.
We're making our way out to you, we might go out a bit further though.
We're making our way out to you, we might go out a bit further though.
Well, feel free to use my system for whatever. I'll try and get an aircraft hanger up and running so you can refuel. edit: erh repair shop

Wow, planet approaches are soooooo slow now.
I finished purchasing my tl32 disks, now the long process of gathering the materials begins. Is it a better idea to make a dedicated shipyard moon with no broker supplied solely by ships or just import everything to my homeworld?
Wow, planet approaches are soooooo slow now.
Would you rather the opposite??
Would you rather the opposite??
As long as it wasn't so fast it made the ship explode when it hit the atmosphere, yes. :v:
