my merchant officer wasn't selling anything and just slacking off on a slab like a doofus, so I gave it a "do once" order to orbit a planet. I decided to wait around to check if it was actually going to continue it's mission, so I tabbed out of hazeron.

if you make a slab, it automatically creates the end point at the pole. so you make extremely long slabs that can overlap everything with negative labor required, and instantly finish as soon as you give them materials.

You can go on away missions barefoot and not have to worry about a cold floor when you get back, Starfleet thinks of everything.
so after setting up a vulcanite colony i was coming back for a few things i forgot.
my ship slammed right into the inner side of the ring and exploded.
i escaped with minor injuries, my crew on the other hand was lost.
the morbid part about it was i slammed into the water ringside and when i looked up all the carcasses and gear they had floated slowly down into the water besides me.

the ultra sits hidden in deep space as a last resort ship.
it was a private ship so its already back up and running though.
the best thing about this game is how often it's updated, with HUGE content additions compared to bigger brand games.
