the best thing about this game is how often it's updated, with HUGE content additions compared to bigger brand games.
Shame the updates are full of bugs and poorly thought out.
the best thing about this game is how often it's updated, with HUGE content additions compared to bigger brand games.
I agree. Suck it GTA5; we've got (5*n, 0<n<=5)*(23,800m x 230,000m) ringworld segments in this patch.
the best thing about this game is how often it's updated, with HUGE content additions compared to bigger brand games.
yknow, after three years of constant playing, I'm not entirely happy with the content/time ratio
yknow, after three years of constant playing, I'm not entirely happy with the content/time ratio
Every step forward involves half a step back. Biggest issues have been around since the beginning of Hazeron... Empire management, Ship management, Planet/city/production management, GUI.
To be honest I'm getting closer and closer to throwing up my hands and admitting that haxus will never be able to turn hazeron into a playable game. The only reason I'm sticking around is because Haxus has hinted at big gameplay improvements once all of the physical stuff like new ringworlds was done, so that he can get a reset done.
Meh the situation is the same as it was in 2012, and probably before, he doesn't feel a need to follow a deadline, he works and does what he wants until he is satisfied I learned my lesson about how Haxus worked after I quit initially after the Toucan Empire fell. I just play for what it is and if it gets unplayable I play other shit until it is again. This guy doesnt give a shit unless everybody stop playing then he has no bug testers and play testers so to speak and even still Ikkir would hang around and bug test the ever living shit out of it. You just play for what it is and whine enough to Ikkir what is truly an issue and hopefully what he relays to haxus get the point made. otherwise we just deal with whatever fancies him.
Any good empires to join? I can't seem to join any of the ones in the OP

It appears that something has changed on my capitol planet after the last update. [t]http://i.imgur.com/e3OvgDT.png[/t]
It appears that something has changed on my capitol planet after the last update. [t]http://i.imgur.com/e3OvgDT.png[/t]
While not as bad as yours, my terrain is fucked up and now theres foliage everywhere
i like what the update did to most of my cities. only a few of them became stilt cities, but none of them are broken. [t]http://i.imgur.com/YWQqYk3.png[/t] once was a boring plains now its rather cool looking.
As far as I know, he's trying to finalise planets before an upcoming reset. Right now this universe is being used to test new updates, so don't be upset if you lose work or have it smashed to pieces. If you just want to play the game I suggest you wait a couple of months until a reset at the end of 2013/early 2014.
For anyone wondering, NeoCAS is still alive despite what people have said, it's probably terraria taking all our time away.
For anyone wondering, NeoCAS is still alive despite what people have said, it's probably terraria taking all our time away.
Its certainly absorbing my time.
I'd love to play this game after reset, the earliest days are generally the ones that have the most impact for the rest of the game. Also Gen 3's start was rather peaceful, but given how things have been going on now I wonder if it'll be people attacking each other in TL1 ships.
updated main engineering again. I'll release the texture set in a couple of days I suppose. Haxus haxus haxus.... Oh why must these things happen. First terrain update changed my world very slightly. It really just made it more green, which wasn't too bad. More plants for the city, looks pretty. But this last one... Dear god. That's the world map. Yes that city there? That's the capital city. It looks like this now: As if that wasn't bad enough, the resource map has completely changed. [t]https://dl.dropbox.com/u/32793717/ShareX/2013-10/2013-10-05_15-43-51.png[/t] All my mines are no longer working, as they cannot mine the resource that used to exist. It is probably like this for most of the cities in my empire. No doubt we will run out of shit soon. Hopefully I can find a ringworld to move to soon. I guess on the bright side my city has become atlantis?
So new update apparently adds geographic formations? Sounds cool.
Sweet! The north and south poles are finally accessible!
I wonder if my capital is now underwater as well... Also does this mean we can build bridges now?
yea i've pretty much stopped playing this until haxus stops fucking around with the planets and starts the new galaxy/reset
yea i've pretty much stopped playing this until haxus stops fucking around with the planets and starts the new galaxy/reset
Supposedly he is done with planet for the moment. Most of the bugs and planned features are done. He's doing ships before a reset I believe.
yeeesssss. 3 days and 5400 planetary bodies scanned and i finally found bolite! [t]http://i.imgur.com/0pblkhc.png[/t] thats it, i am a fully functional TL32 civilization once this city is constructed. i mean, i still dont have phlogiston or borexino precipitate, but i do have scans for them so its just a matter of placing a colony for a (currently)worthless material. [editline]10/7[/editline] bolite for me was so hard to find that it is 10 minutes away from my capitol at WF 9.

If that's the case, then tbh I cannot be arsed fixing them all. Might as well let all the shit decay and start anew in the far future when there's a galaxy reset. [editline]7th October 2013[/editline] And the mail server seems to be down as well :/ [editline]7th October 2013[/editline] On the plus side, a pirate got annihilated by my planetary defences while chasing my atmo harvester :v: [editline]7th October 2013[/editline] If anyone wants to smash my empire into a fine powder and snort it or whatever, feel free to. One of the cities has a TL17 ship I captured from some dead empire, if you feel like collecting.

Started a new empire, looked for oil, found none. Deleted, made new empire, still looking for oil On a side note, there's some odd lens flare effect going on here. [thumb]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/6581415/lensflare.jpg[/thumb] Edit: Turns out the flares are planets and I'm dumb.

It was efficient to buy enough supplies for many colonies at once. I also used it in some trading routes. I think http://hazeron.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5851 has more cargo space. [editline]test[/editline]
Infinite TL32 Magmium Made in Toucan Empire Dyadic Paragon was reported to possess infinite quantities of TL32 magmium manufactured by the Toucan Empire. The Toucan Empire has been gone for a long time and they have no more cities in the system; where is the magmium coming from? Answer: The system appears to have a very large but dwindling stock of this magmium. There is no infinite source, just a lot of it.
We used to do a lot of trading between our systems.
God dammit, I hate these proxies. My ship got attacked by a the "Syth" empire, but it's not even ranked.
