Shores of Hazeron - again! a free deep galactic MMO space game [Servers have been permanently shut

Is there an active steam group for NeoCAS, because the one in the OP looks defunct.
Yeah, Cake knows the password.
Anyway, Square Root Mk.II is done. Mostly minor cosmetic and technical changes. It's gonna hit the production line as soon as I come back from a beer run.
WELP
My brand new ship just crashed into the side of a sector and exploded (that's my explanation anyway), followed by Hazeron crashing into the side of its memory limits and exploding.
Yes this ship was a good investment.

And now Hazeron won't start at all because it keeps trying to spawn me in the center of a goddamn star.
Am I the only one or does the server refuse to allow logins at all right now? It acts like I don't even have an account.

I guess it's down, I can't view the avatars page.

Did you have an officer on the ship?

Nope. Probably should've heeded Cake's advice sooner :v:.
And I think an admin actually teleported my ship into a sun, because his "server shutting down" message mentioned sundiving ships and there wasn't a star within sight when it exploded.

You called me mad!
Nehehehehehe!
Will you design a ship larger than mine this time? :v:

You need a player or officer on the ship when you cross the boundary of a system/sector, otherwise it is hit by darkmatter and explodes. This is how the server cleans up driving derelicts and junk.
If you just have a player on the ship, you might be fine for a few transitions - or even lots of transitions if the servers are good. Hell, we've had thousands of transitions on one ship with no issues; but the problem is, if the servers are running slow, or one of them is, the ship loads in, checks for player/officer, finds none, and destroys the ship before the player loads in.
Anyone else having trouble logging in currently?

Servers are still down, I guess. Gives me time to actually take up Cakebatyr's offer of making a bigger ship :v:.

Well, I was on and active when it exploded and the reports say it was hit by a white dwarf.
Who knows what happened, really. I just bought a brand new one straight away.

I'm also designing the Spacebrick 3.
I will not tolerate a volume gap.
Back the fuck up. The server shutdown.
Is it happening.jpeg?

This can only mean one thing.

Can I join NeoCAS as well?
Also whats happening.
Wait what's going on? 3D?
Is this the ship update?
If it is. This is a game changer.
It's a bit early for the ship update.
If the ship update looks good, I might play this again.
It's just a server outage I bet. I'll give him a phone in an hour and a half or so.
My goddamn moon colony seems to have utterly disappeared, and my other city reverted to the state it was in before I built the colony D:
Yeah, the galaxy seems to have been rolled back by about three days. None of my published starships are in the database (I have local copies, don't worry) and my bank balance is back to pre-sundive levels.

[del]Also, this means that our station may be back in the primordial ooze.[/del] Nevermind, I can see it, just.
And, more pressingly: Precalculus is, once again, out of grav couplings/Eludium.
Uh oh
Thankfully as a whole it's less annoying than if we all were in separate empires.
At least we're not in 1885.
Every time i've built my first T1 ship, without fail i've missed some important detail. This time it was a door allowing the crew access from the quarters to the rest of the ship :v:
On a somewhat related note, has the mass limits been changed for the ship tiers?
How much shields does the ship needs to block teleporters?

Well shit, the city I was building yesterday is gone now. Along with the new ships I was building. AND I'm in deep space again.
