The bluish stars are sectors. The white stars are those in your local area. Everything you see is a representation of stars or star density. That band of stars is hazerons actual milkway. Juding from what I can see you are in the galactic core or close to it, about a day at warp from 90% of players, who are clumped together.
You actually look like you're at the edge of the Galaxy
how do you make a new race have wings? also, what are the best attributes to put points into?
How, this game is probably one of the most beautiful things I've played together with Space Engine and Orbiter.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/6VELlL3.jpg[/img_thumb]
how do you make a new race have wings? also, what are the best attributes to put points into?
Wings are among the best things you can have for a race.
Wings are among the best things you can have for a race.
well, yeah. but how do I add them at the race creation screen? edit: figured it out. finally
Anyone have any good tutorial videos? Written tutorials aren't doing it for me much for this game.
Also: That happens if you go inactive. Therefor, once you start hazeron, there's no going back.
Anyone have any good tutorial videos? Well I got it working great, but I spawned on a desert homeworld with no visible vegetation, and there are fucking sand worms just crawling around looking hungry. [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] On the bright side there are high quality gems and towering behemoths that should discourage any sane person from setting foot on it. How do I get my flag if there is no cotton?

I'm just going to make a new character, I'm so happy this is working though
oh my god building an empire is so addictive. so much better than just tooling around in a spaceship raising hell (which is already awesome, this is just even better)
Hohoho, I think I got a pretty good start location this time around [t]http://i.imgur.com/Mdj31Rk.jpg[/t] [editline]23rd August 2013[/editline] Now what do I do if I can't find oil? Is it on the same "\" setting as fissionable material?
Now what do I do if I can't find oil? Is it on the same "\" setting as fissionable material?
Actually that's what I want to know. What cycle does it show at? I've traveled for just about a full day directly away from my city and haven't found any, and I've also hit a different resource zone without finding any. That's only about 1/4th to 1/3rd of my planet, give or take, but it seems unlikely I wouldn't find at least a little bit.

Check the other Resource Zones on your planet. Good way to do this is by getting a rocket up and running, which you can do so without any petrochemicals (Thanks DeandreT), alternatively a sailboat will work as well. *Rocks can be turned off by going to the next display layer
I actually ended up finding some, yay

I need plastic for electronic parts, and petrochemicals are the only way about it.
So how do I get citizens? I have a stone mine and a house now.
I mistook hay for lumber/logs and had to make a highway to a remote logging camp :v: Also that guide is a bit outdated in some respects, but still very useful yeah
How can you do it without petrochemicals? I need plastic for electronic parts, and petrochemicals are the only way about it.
Rockets only need mechanical parts, metal, a Large Rocket Motor, textile and air-fuel. Along with the required tools. There's no step in their production that requires petrochemicals.
So how do I get citizens? Make sure you're checking your city's reports in the Mail too, don't want them all leaving because you didn't know they wanted a church.
I really suggest you find atleast 3 oil spots as you are going to rely on oil for A LOT of stuff. tip: one spot can allow multiple wells/mines if you place the outside border of the construction circle just on the edge of the icon, and do that with the second pump/mine as well (even though I had something weird with one well or mine -i forgot which- wanting to make tech instead of the resource, but that only happened once) [editline]23rd August 2013[/editline] Also, I got really lucky to find a lot of those dark blue crystal spots on the first moon I landed on, so I can start mining them right away
I used to play this game, and it really is great. However, the grind to tl32 is a bit
God I can't find oil either
Just keep walking until you find it, or make a new empire. If you save your creature somewhere it can help speed it up
how does everyone make enough money to do research? i have a city of 500 and a moonbase of around 100 and im only bringing in 2600 cronos a tick. i have a wormhole capable ship with a large cargo bay for colonization and exploration but im struggling to advance my tech level due to a lack of funds and understanding.

I should probably build another.
Delicious bullion.
is the solution really more money? is there no inflation?

I'm too fucking stubborn to abandon this much work and effort. [editline]23rd August 2013[/editline] Oh fuck's sake, automerge.
