The main issue with Hazeron really is that it's too damn large. You'll never find anyone who doesn't want to be found.
This is my main problem. The game is a very interest concept that doesn't scale well in reality because of a lack of players and too much space. I honestly wouldn't mind a reset if it meant there were only around 5000 star systems. It would bring players closer together and cause conflicts/alliances to appear. Ringworlds would be worth a lot in a more limited galaxy.

Ringworlds would be worth a lot in a more limited galaxy.
Even if you did that you will have to rebalance the mechanics. QL/TL were born out of the massive size of the galax(y/ies), finding QL248-255 materials is suppose to be a time sync that you were meant to do in order to reach the end game. With 5000 star systems, you might not even generate a planet with the materials required. I'm also getting a massive sense of Déjà vu I swear I've replied to you before with something along these lines.
What most generators do when they generate limited worlds is if there aren't those specific resources that have importance they'll just regenerate a new one. Eventually after a bunch of iterations it'll settle on a world that has the minimum amount of resources required. Of course he'll have to rebalance combat mechanics so that it's possible for people below TL32 to actually put a dent in a TL32 ship.
The problem(s) of Hazeron... Introduction of complex gameplay mechanics that add little to depth Introduction of new features without any second-thought, buggy, poor implementations of good ideas, etc Lack of mid-game content Lack of end-game depth to keep older players keep playing Utterly broken combat Broken movement The list goes on... I wouldn't mind these problems, if they were actually getting fixed. But they generally get worse, rather than better.
Sooo... ITS HAPPENING?
if they make it more intuitive, then I might actually be able to fly a ship, but right now I would prefer if I could use the old designer.
Well Haxus still hasn't made the changes, and I doubt he'd just try and remove the old system all together.
Well Haxus still hasn't made the changes, and I doubt he'd just try and remove the old system all together.
Tooltip for the old designer said it's outdated and will be removed at some point in the future
Haxus commented on turbolifts and hallways.
You should be able to make labyrinths of corridors and rooms if you want. The turbolift concept makes it so you don't have to though. It also greatly simplifies the problem for AI trying to get from area A to area B. I haven't created the hallway and room drawing/cutting tools yet. It would be nice to have a command to carve out hallways by drawing its end points, like a segment. You could even provide a profile wire for the shape of the walls. The 'Evolve Shape' command provides the essence of this but it doesn't work properly yet. There's something wrong with the data I am providing to the algorithm at present; shape sequence in the wire, shape orientation, something like that. Turbo lifts also break the requirement for geometric continuity between areas of the ship. Separate areas don't have to be whole deck height increments apart. There can be geometric constrictions or discontinuities in the model between the areas that are difficult or impossible to construct so that a person could walk through them. This first update with the new modeler was mainly to get the foundation in place. It was a bunch of work to get each of the various platform configurations to build, distribute and run. Now that's complete, ah! It was a struggle at times. As always, there is no back, there is only forward. I will probably begin working on building models now. They have few rules requirements and the tools for carving out rooms and hallways will be the same as those for a spacecraft. Then I'll probably work on spacecraft.
Source
So I just had a dream where Haxus added custom models to land vehicles, but also accidentally applied building-sized HP to all wild animals. Which ended in me building a colony with an MCV and punching a snake for five minutes. Worst part was, even in my dreams, movement was laggy and serverside.
The new editor also needs toolbars and hotkeys having to go to the menubar constantly is throwing off my groove.
Gave the new designer a shot.
I wonder if we will be able to resize contrails so they could Fit those engines, Also hopefully if I get good at the editor, My dreams of having a federations shuttle will come true!
Is the world already reset or do we have to wait some more time?
It's been reset like 6 months ago by now.
Fuck, I wanted to start playing again after the reset
After all the new editing shits in, I hope theres a reset. It always helps when shit slows down matrix style like it is now.
I can't figure out how to make slopes in the designer for the life of me.
at the moment best way is to tilt the design plane where you want the slope, make a cube, then cut the ship/whatever with the cube.
hoooooooly fuck new designer
I hope they make a one galaxy universe with the galaxy being rather small, Right now theres too much space even in just one galaxy, and in the other 20 or so, and its really really hard to actually get to use your own ship as a mercenary or a hired person at all.
Agreed, the universe is too big for the number of players.
Made me a Hazeron Hetzer. Not perfect but whatever, orbital hetzer invasion will be a thing.
spacetanks.
Now we need spaceblimps and we can pretend to be moon nazis from Iron Sky. [t]http://i.imgur.com/no3AB9b.png[/t] Someone built a 200 pop city on a full resource zone D:!
I definitely think next universe should be smaller. Too many planets for number of peoples It would probably boost performance too.
they should turn the universe into a dwarf galaxy and put something in the skybox like a elliptical galaxy.
I definitely think next universe should be smaller. Too many planets for number of peoples It would probably boost performance too.
I asked haxus to make it 20 times smaller so that people would interact with each other more. He made it 20 times bigger.
I asked haxus to make it 20 times smaller so that people would interact with each other more. He made it 20 times bigger.
But why
because he doesnt know how to make a playable game
