Why is the mask black? It'd be better if it was white.
it is white, it's just a very dirty and broken white
[editline]13th October 2010[/editline]
and also for some reason neither of the hockey mask have head straps
how is that thing stayin on there?
in the picture, the psycho mask has straps. wtf?
[editline]13th October 2010[/editline]
i know, i'll retexture it myself.
What does the Psycho DLC add anyway?
increased damage for all the obvious weapons and some heavy attacks for the ones that didn't already have one eg machete, meat cleaver, and probably some others.
also lessens the damage you take
What does the Psycho DLC add anyway?
Couple of new animations, more defense, more damage added to certain weapons.Oh and a set of new clothes.

That sounds weak, to be honest.
A question if I may ask ya'll:
What is your favourite location in DR2?
Mine is Palisades Mall.

Poor rusty, new stuff is annoying :v:
So is there a working trainer for steam that can unlock costumes?
doubt it you actually have to download the content its not in the game
doubt it you actually have to download the content its not in the game
I think he means for normal costumes.
doubt it you actually have to download the content its not in the game
I meant shit like the suit of armor, the hockey mask etc.
There's a huge difference to 'killing way more people than you're supposed to' and 'getting bitten a thousand times in a game where there is a 100% chance of being bitten and yet since it did not happen in a cutscene it doesn't count.', that segregation of story and gameplay doesn't work in this scenario, the devs KNOW YOU HAVE TO GET BITTEN AT LEAST ONCE
this is why, in dead rising 1, FRANK DOES NOT GET BITTEN DURING A CUTSCENE (that i can recall, correct me if I'm wrong) and yet frank is INFECTED, Isabella confirms this, pretty sure she asks if frank was bitten and he's like 'weeeellllll uuuhh' and goes on to tell him he hasn't turned because of a natural immunity which slows virus growth or whatever.
if frank gets infected during gameplay, so can chuck. chuck remains seemingly uninfected, as do most of the survivors who happen to get bitten when you escourt them
PLAUSABLE REASONS:
rather than their body's being naturally resistant, many people may be flat out immune to the virus altogether. and it may not be hereditary, as katey and chucks wife became infected.
going to assume Chuck is immune because he DOES GET BITTEN just like FRANK GETS BITTEN, neither of which happen in the cannon story cutscenes, but rather as an inevitable result of gameplay, which was been factored in, as it should be.
[editline]13th October 2010[/editline]
although i feel as if chuck's infection was just ignored because they couldn't think of a way to implement it into the story and it's more of a 'eh fuck it who cares nobody's going to care' kind of thing rather than 'it happened in the gameplay therefore it didn't happen'
Again Frank was stung by a damn Queen during a cutscene while it doesn't show it that's the only possible way he could've been infected since he was never bitten during any cutscenes.
"doesn't show it" you can't be certain he was stung then, since it doesn't show it, he probably wasn't

Elbow drop huh.

well
i'm trying to stress that he WAS bitten
during the game
it totally counts. the game was made to ensure you get bitten, you can't avoid getting bitten in an entire playthrough.
so what does the psychopath skills pack give?

Because it's a god damn GAMEPLAY ELEMENT.
Not once do you see Frank in a cutscene with bite marks or blood on his body. Why? Because he was never fucking bitten during any of the cutscenes which are the ones that are supposed to count.
You're stressing too much that the gameplay and cutscenes mix together.
For example if I played Left 4 Dead and Louis died during the campaign, he shouldn't be alive during the passing right? Right? Wrong, he was never actually killed during the STORY because it was a GAMEPLAY ELEMENT.
that's not the same thing and you know it man
i'm saying the way this game works is different, and it totally does count
Rusty100, master of the double standard.
It works the same exact way in almost every game, what happens during gameplay does not neccessarily mean it happens during the story.
When I say almost every game it means there's exceptions like Heavy Rain where if you die in the story, that dude is gone through the rest of the playthrough and the whole story changes.
how is that a double standard, different games work differently, and l4d is a multiplayer game, that's like saying if you die in halo multiplayer, master chief should be dead in the actual game storyline
it's not the same thing at all
Rusty100, master of the double standard.
They are completely different circumstances. It is not certain if you will or won't die in L4D, so it doesn't tie in.
One can be almost entirely sure that you will be bitten in Dead Rising, it is an inevitability.

Left 4 Dead is a multiplayer game but it does have a story. The whole game is practically story based (campaign not versus).
Wait, what the fuck that makes no sense, how the fuck would Halo multiplayer have to deal with master chief in the slightest bit?
You're not playing as Master Chief in the Halo multiplayer you're playing as a random spartan in MULTIPLAYER that has nothing to do with the STORY.

Yes but what i'm stressing is that it's a gameplay element and does not neccessarily mean that what happens during gameplay in a game such as this will happen during the unveiling of the story.

exchange my example for a game which has a multiplayer where you play as the same character from the storyline
the point is, zombie bites are a part of dead rising. you can't say it's assumed you don't get bitten, even if you do, it's guaranteed you will.
