Dead Rising Megathread v.2 - Everyone knows Slappy!

what are you even talking about
No, I'm not getting pissed at all - I'm annoyed because I'm assuming that it's Capcom's intention to make Cases Zero & West multi-platform at a much later date, and I think that it was stupid to make it a 360 exclusive, at least for the time being. I'm annoyed at the presence of the 4 outfits, as they seem to signify that this is the case.
Yes, Dead Rising 2 will probably shift the most units on the 360, but to alienate the PS3 & PC customer base, to me, seems like bad business.
"360 exclusive? nooo fuck you capcom"
"wait a minute? EVENTUAL pc support as opposed to none??? DOUBLE FUCK YOU CAPCOM!!!!"
your logic
[editline]19th October 2010[/editline]
its people like u that make them not support pc at all in the first place. be glad youre getting it eventually (if you do)
People like me? I hardly think that's fair.
It just seems to me that in a world where digitial distribution is quickly becoming the dominant medium, that exclusivity of ANY gaming product is bad business practice. Granted, Microsoft can afford to throw decent sums of money at companies for temporary exclusivity rights, but surely that initial lump sum would be superceeded by the money that they'd make back via Steam or PSN sales.
Granted, signing a contract, then months later releasing the product on multiple platforms does make an additional amount of money, but surely that's after any buzz has died down? Case Zero was designed as a prequel to Dead Rising 2, and to me it seems foolish to release it some time after the main product has been released.
To me personally, a similar equivalent would be to release Episodes from Liberty City on the PC before GTA IV. At the end of the day, yes, both platforms end up with the same content, but it loses it's relevance somewhat. It just strikes me as showing disregard for customers.
Both Case 0 and Case West had been planned from the first day Blue Castle and Capcom got together to make Dead Rising 2.
It seems to be as obvious shortcut in development to include unlockables in main game and make them unobtainable unless with DLC.
They've simply made Dead Rising 2 with all the content and then ported it to PS3 and PC.

If you have the game on PC, download this. Absolutely necessary.

This is shameful no matter what developer does it - Assassin's Creed 2 and Resident Evil 5 are the big culprits here.
To be honest, I'm used to getting shafted by every developer apart from Valve on the PC.
This to really...
PC version of Assassin's Creed 2 included all the console DLC for free.
Wasn't the content on the console versions on the disk, but cut out & saved for DLC?
I might actually be wrong there - AC2 might actually be a case of the content being finished, put on the disk, then removed, specifically for DLC. Either way, it's shafting the customers.

Yeah, because Microsoft wants to shift people from PC to 360, hence why they buy exclusive DLC for 360 and not for both PC and 360 (which wouldn't cost them anything extra). A sold PC for Microsoft only brings the revenue from the OS and some services, a sold Xbox 360 brings revenue from basically everything you buy for it.
Oh, I understand the marketing kinematics behind it; it makes perfect economic sense, it's just annoying is all.
Yeah it pisses me off too, but I'd rather live with that than start up the 360 anyway.
so hum yeah

For some reason, I really like the 'i1660 Eliminados!'
Need help with a few things.
I can see a key for a chopper, but where is the bike anyway?
What's the easiest way to get the Mall Uniform (combination of missions)? Thought I got it, but apparently not.
How do you tame Snowflake? I thought you threw steaks as it pounced, but there don't seem to be any rules.

1: Yucatan Casino, it's a display on top of some slot machines.
2: There's about 56 or so survivors in total - you need to grab all the mission ones, along with most of non-mission ones (the Tape It or Die crew, the military survivors etc.)
3: Get a decent distance, aim at Snowflake, as soon as she does the turn animation, throw the steak out fairly close. It'll take a few trys, but that's the best way.

Anyone else get the problem that when you enter a new area, pocketed items disappear?
Cause I'm getting that problem.
Edit: For some reason I cant sign into GFWL, what the fuck man.

Her underwear texture is the same as that in Dragon Age Origins.

I'm not quite sure what you're implying, but it's not really an original concept. I joke about it all the time when playing co-op.
If that's not what you're implying, carry on.
Her underwear texture is the same as that in Dragon Age Origins.
Its a general underwear texture wich is uses in many more games, including the Sims series.
Is it just the Physco costume pack out at the moment or are there any others?
Anyone has that trainer that bolo made??
All crashed fixed.
http://maximus.jp/Zombotran/Zombotranv1.2.zip
Give it a try guys, should not have any problems. Please post if you have any problems, or PM me.
Issue with v1.1 was anti-trainer checks hidden deep in the game if GFWL is running. They're turned off when you launch this. :)
Quick request here mate, could you implement the "Unlock all clothing rewards"?, it's featured in the +49 trainer but the trainer only works on v1.0.

Ah, okay dokes. I realised it and imagined how awesome it would be to run about Fortune City with Sten, Morrigan and my Dog. Fuck yes.

Just a video of the Antoine boss fight I made if anyone is interested.
I can't find a link to BoloPatch's trainer anywhere?

Also, anyone who wants to start a game from the beginning with me?
I can play with you, I can't be bothered to start from the beginning.

This game is fucking amazing as long as you're not a whiny bitch when it comes to the time limit. I DESPISE time limits in games but I got over it and manage my time.
I was thinking about restarting from level 1, but do i lose any of my unlocked clothes?
Does this game have good replay value like the first one?
