Aged? How long was the gap between Dead Rising 1 and 2?
I believe the intro video says it was 5 years since the first incident.
Edit: Well, me and the guy above me both say 5 years. So, I am going to say that it was definitely 5 years.
You'd think that after 3 games, they would know how to make good boss fights, but no, every single one of them are still complete utter bullshit. Cause a boss that can hit you from miles away, takes down a whole health square with one hit, none of his attacks are possible to dodge is totally fair and fun.
The bossfights are like, so ridiculously easy. Starting from scratch on Off The Record, I have yet to be killed during a bossfight. And I've beaten it already.

You just suck is all.

That redneck security guard/cop is just a pain in the ass. You CAN'T dodge his attacks, which means that if you try to run up to him and hit him, he WILL take down at least 2 health squares before you'll be able to run off, his ranged attack will hit you no matter where and how far you are, you can't use ranged weapons against him, since he'll just shoot them out of your hands. The whole fight is just 70% running around looking for health items, which is just not fun at all.
Not all of them are hard, but that specific one is just stupid.
Well this is retarded, for some odd reason I can't turn off the depth of field for Off the Record. I could turn it off just fine for Dead rising 2, but not for this. The depth of field is so badly optimized.
isn't frank west that guy from tatsunoko?
Does anyone know where the magazine that makes health items restore more health is in Off the Record? I found it in DR2, but it seems like they changed that shit now.

Wow, Seymour's six shooter is awesome. Is there any other place you can get a six shooter?
Uuuugh, I fucking hate the rednecks on the Strip. They have WAY more health than they did in DR2, so I can't just climb up and knife glove them 3-4 times each. In fact, I can't climb up at all, because EVERY TIME I DO I get shot while I'm still in the animation. Boom, 2 health lost. Oh look I died and I have to run the entire length of the strip again because what's a quicksave lol
I can appreciate boss fight being hard (fight with Sullivan in DR2 was a BITCH but still fun) but putting fights you can't avoid in the largest area of the game and making them that hard to kill is just bullshit.

I didn't have much trouble with the rednecks myself. I just had a bunch of painkiller cocktails with me and a light sword, so I just had to take the painkiller and beat the shit out of them with the sword.

Well they're both really easy to get. Flashlights and gems are everywhere, and finding 2 beers and a mixer isn't hard either.

ohhh so that's how you make painkillers, where does one find mixers? Are they like workbenches?
oh yeah and does money from sandbox carry over because I need to make a million fucking dollars to save whatsherface from TK

Money and PP carries over from one to another.
And you can find mixers at pretty much any bar/restaurant/food store.

Run up to him, slice with knife gloves, or a lightsaber, or something like that, get attacked, repeat. When you're near death, replenish your health with one of the many health items you should be carrying with you. In my case, I always have two Painkiller drinks on me before a bossfight. You can make them by combining Vodka + Vokda, or Whisky + Whisky
And then you win
but seriously for that bossfight I don't think I even needed one, he's pretty easy to slash to death without taking much damage to yourself
seriously u should just face that you aren't very good

No, but it respawns there.

Well, it's not that it's all that hard, it's just boring and not fun, since having to run around looking for health items is just really boring. There's also that I forgot to bring a painkiller with me for some reason (despite having usually carrying like 2 of them with me).
YEAH SURE
it doesnt have to be a painkiller but u should always have some health items before u initiate a boss fight
It's not much help when most of the health items only restore a single square.
seriously? u use those terrible ones? get some oj or coffee creamer or a meat of some kind
restores 4 or more
When I was doing the fight I figured I'll just use whatever is in the area and it turned out it mostly contained the shitty ones. So I guess I just came really unprepared for that one, since I finished all other boss fights I did quite easily. I do wish I could just find the magazine that makes health items restore more health.
[editline]14th October 2011[/editline]
I already found the one that makes you able to drink a bunch of alcohol without throwing up, so that helps, since alcohol restores a shitload of health.
This game is good at making me feel bad at killing psychopaths
or even watch people killing them
Wow this game is buggy as fuck. I'm absolutely baffled
Zombies are half loading in, Reed and Richards or whatever the others name is glitched so there was no music and they would hit me for 6 blocks of fucking health no matter what and it was just horseshit. So frustrating.
I dunno if this is old. But you can find the champions jacket in one of the clothing stores in the arena. You can get the mall outfit from DR1 by getting "Maintaining the city" You can get the tattered clothing by getting "Party time" And you can find all four DLC outfits from DR2 around the city. Although some parts come from achievements/Killing Bosses.
Wow, the boss fight with [sp]Stacey and that robot thing[/sp] was just too goddamn easy. [sp]It takes literally no effort to dodge its attacks, especially when you've got a path that just leads out of the fight area, so you can just run back there when it's attacking and on each stage, you just gotta attack it a few times. The third stage is just a few easy quicktime events.[/sp]
the new DR only has 3 psychopaths?
Man, final boss (not overtime) was perfect
Dr. Wily vs Protoman, so great.

"I finished all the other bossfights really easily I swear, that's why I was complaining about how hard the bossfights were in this game!"
"I finished all the other bossfights really easily I swear, that's why I was complaining about how hard the bossfights were in this game!"
Seriously dude? Why do you feel the need to be an ass about this? I already said that my problem with fighting the rednecks aren't healing items, weapons, or even their health--it's the fact that they can hit me while I'm still in the animation from climbing up. Which knocks me back down. With 2 less health squares.
Let me guess now you'e going to say I'm bad for having to play an animation when I climb up things, levitation is what all the pros do right
"I finished all the other bossfights really easily I swear, that's why I was complaining about how hard the bossfights were in this game!"
I didn't even say that fight was hard, just annoying.
