You have to defeat the Mailman in either Story or Sandbox Mode.

why is this chair even here
(off the record spoilers)
I love that part. Frank is all "Oh, this is gonna be good."
also, who does [sp]t.k capture in off the record's overtime mode[/sp]?
dr2/otr end spoiler ^
[sp]Rebecca doesn't get shot in the head in OTR, she gets shot in the stomach. Frank assumes she's dead, leaves her, and TK captures her, and Rebecca somehow survives 24 hours with a hole in her stomach[/sp]
[sp]sweet
its like pineapple express[/sp]
The FPS drops are really irritating. Hasn't ruined the experience too much, but framerates get REALLY low when in Uranus zone and the strip. Video settings seem to make no difference. DR2 runs perfectly maxed out.

You get the main body for killing the mailman.

I know. I just didn't get it for some reason.
Was the [sp]ninja hat[/sp] there in the first game? I just found it's position and I'm too lazy to check by myself.

No. All the Skill Set Costumes were exclusive DLC Content in the original Dead Rising 2.
I did a montage of shit in Dead Rising 2 when it was released so I did the same for off the record. If anyone is curious what new things there are I showcase a lot of them in this.
I can't believe the damn [sp]screamer zombie[/sp] got me again.
lol
Okay. First, I hated Dead Rising cause it was hard as hell when I was just starting to check out these awesome games. Then, Dead Rising 2 came out, and I had a go. I liked it, and when I got bored with my level 50 S ending Full Knight clothes all DLC clothes most combo cards Chuck...well, I decided to try out the first game again.
I loved it. It had awkward controls and the survivors never liked following me (is it because of Frank's posterior?), but it had that sense of difficulty and awesomeness that I needed. I completed the main chunk (barely) at level 13. I barely finished the 2nd to last 72 hour mode mission in time to get to Isabella. Then I decided if I was gonna finish the game, I'd need to get some levels. I got to level 38. Got the Real Megabuster. Finished the game with an S rank and then proceeded to get the Laser Sword and Level 50. Case West was a pushover, and I was getting bored...
THen I heard Frank's back. I was apprehensive at first "It is gonna be the same", but then I saw there was new content. I have tried it, and I am pleased to say it tested my willpower for the first time ever. No weapon is there to ultra-own everything, and guns are Frank's worst enemy.
I decided to go for the S ending sooner rather than later, and I was pushed to the limit. Even a level 50 would have a hard time if they were just getting back in the game. The 2nd last boss (S ending playthrough) had 3 full health bars, and I barely had any food or weapons. With a partner, I managed to beat the boss down 9 ingame hours before the firebombing started. At least it was more pressing than finishing with 19 ingame hours before firebombing.
Believe me, if you haven't seen the spoilers already, this game is worth getting. And if you have seen them...hell, play the game anyway.
The Cyborg pack is out in North America today. Anyone know of a Europe/UK release?
Will the DLC come out on PC?
I wish to reiterate my point about the redneck snipers being FUCKING BULLSHIT in OTR. They have enough health that you need an entire sniper rifle to take them down, and they can shoot THROUGH OBJECTS to hit you because they're so far away that the game just goes "hurr, apply 1-3 squares of damage, I see no giant pole/tree/metal awning here." Not to mention that they only stop to reload AFTER they've hit you and knocked you over. If you dodge their shot they'll keep shooting until they hit you/a survivor you're escorting. RAGE.
Poker is even more fun though because you can take pictures of your defeated, naked opponents for hundreds of erotica PP :v:
[editline]26th October 2011[/editline]
The only successful tactic I've had in long-range sniper battles was sending a follower out as a decoy and shooting while was the redneck was reloading after firing at the decoy. RIP Kent :patriot:
Slappy is so piss easy in Off the Record if you have the book where you can drink as much alcohol as you want or the sportsman costume.

All the bosses are piss easy in the game
the snipers were very annoying though, they got buffed something fierce
I took down Big Earl pretty easily, but I had several shotguns and he was right next to a large collection of food.
It adds electrical damage to all regular attacks.
Additional damage on melee attacks.
Extra PP with electrical appliances.
Was going to ask that as well. That's cool.
The other DLC's are available in the Capcom store, which seems to mean Japan only (?):
Firefighter
BBQ Chef
Cardboard Warrior
Apparently the Cyborg should have already be released in the UK, but we'll see.
I bought it yesterday because it sounded a bit OP. It is, kinda. You can reliably kill things with your hands now, at least.
Is it still a case of "Get knife gloves combo card, game over"?
I was thinking of getting this on steam, is it worth it if I have L4D and killing floor?
I was thinking of getting this on steam, is it worth it if I have L4D and killing floor?
How does that cause you to not get DR?
How does that cause you to not get DR?
Probably asking if it's a different enough zombie game to warrant getting it.
Which it is, imo.
is there a trainer for the latest non-OTR version
i don't like the time limit, at all
Nah, they rebalanced a lot of things. The items for super awesome combo cards are a bit harder to find now, like sledgehammers are harder to find, zombrex is harder to find etc.
Like it was fucking easy in the first game, NOW I will never reach the fabled S ending :saddownsguyiconthatdoesntexistanymore:
So, I started Story Mode and I have to say, it was really cool! There's a better intro/tutorial (I liked it more than the first one), weapons changed spots so you don't havee your starting sledgehammer (even if I guess weapons changing places isn't really a big deal) and also the new bank key cards is a really good idea!
I may be wrong, but I think there is really more variety in posters and I don't recal seeing posters on the ground in the first game. I would have loved seeing more Terror Is Reality, and even more with those grinders and buttons, but I guess sandbox is more of a big deal.
Oh and lastly, the music in the pharmacy was SO AWESOME!
Hey guys, Dead Rising 3 rumors here. http://deadrisingwiki.com/wiki/Dead_Rising_3
Don't believe the rick stuff, it is obivously photoshopped, but you can believe this if you want.
By the way, Frank West did mean he is back in the game.
