Mods have already been made by stipo360
the port looks, runs, and feels great. dead rising at 2k 144hz is a dream come true??
Gets horrible screen tearing with no vsync
Have they done any improvements or fixes for anything, or is it just a straight port?

everyone should be using g-sync of freesync it is the future. once you do you will never go back
Ok, the dodge roll is going to be an issue. I'm currently carrying the heavy machine gun from the convicts, and frank keeps doing his dodge roll when I'm just trying to move forward. They REALLY should've changed that. I remember that happening in the 360 version as well. So fucking annoying.
Spent some time trying to get GeDoSaTo to mesh with the game, for downsampling purposes, but no dice.

No everyone has that kind of money right now

Gamble, sell your body, you can easily make money.
I'm really glad 4 is doing away with the time system. The games are enjoyable but give you no means of having any extra fun and being a completionist/explorer.
Finally got around to play a bit of the dr1 port, and it runs great. Getting constant 300fps @ 1440p.

Once you get the hang of things and know when all the events happen, you can easily have a fair bit of time to dick around, plus there's always infinity mode in DR1 and sandbox mode in OTR.

trying to complete stuff on time is fun. alternatively you are free to ignore the main mission
Anyone got this on ps4? I picked it up because I still had a bunch of credit from a long time ago and It does that play before the content is fully installed thing and was wondering what exactly is that.
The only thing I have with the beginning of DR1 is getting the shitton of close survivors, then the main quest requires you to follow the one guy to a complete dead end
i killed like half of the first day because the fat lady and her husband wouldn't climb the thing on the roof
I just went into the vent, left the vent, and they managed to do it the second time
as well as all my "motherfucker, I died, but I'm not nearly far enough in the game to bother wanting to reload a save, so I guess I'm restarting the story" playthroughs.

That's the problem. Some people prefer to run through everything once in a game and not come back to it until their next playthrough possibly years in the future.

The fact that the entrance plaza isn't open when you get there pisses me off. Like, I've got two incompetent AI dudes here and a person on my back so I can't fight (and Quickstep is cancelled by her being there for some annoying reason) but now I've got to go all the way back through that semi-narrow pathway with them and all the way back to the security room instead of just going about 30 feet forward.
Just gone done playing DR1 on the PS4 for a bit, it's just as good as I remembered, and the smoother framerate is really nice. I beat up a few psychos, which I won't spoil here for people who haven't played it yet, got the jump kick skill (one of the best skills next to the knee drop) and saved probably like, 15 people so far, and I'm not even into day 2 :v:
I am so happy to be playing this game again, this was my favorite 360 game.
Wow, bomb collector is the most bullshit mission I've ever done. I don't remember it being this shit
Pamela and Heather are the fucking worst. Even though they aren't very far from the safe room, it feels like a fucking chore escorting them. I wish you could just carry everyone, even if they can walk.

I'd prefer it as an alternative to holding hands.
Because that shit is useless if you're not in like, the giant park area where the convicts are.
All the issues with this game would be solved if the survivors weren't all inconsistent morons.
some ai are actually a lot better than others, and consistently so with that character.
i think the ai is deliberately not good as a way to encourage the player to actually kill as many zombies as possible (to clear paths) rather than just skirt around them all game.

That may be true, but seriously, three people who're sufficiently armed can't handle one conversation with another survivor while I try to get them to come with me. Hell, they can't even open the automatic fitness center doors. If I walk in there, they'll all just kinda sit outside, and eventually get overrun.

Like I'd expect some sort of strength in numbers, but unless I'm getting involved, they're not going to be able to handle more than like, a single zombie. No wonder that old lady at the beginning was able to throw two grown-ass men off of her and cause the entire series to happen as it did. All she had to do was blow on them lightly.
Replaying Dead Rising 1 on the PC; my pc is a bit older, so I may have to crank down some settings, but overall it seems like a fantastic port.
I wish they would have ported Dead Rising 2 survivor AI though, I'm not looking forward to managing the imbecile survivors; and oh yeah.

Fuck this fucking spot. I don't know if they fixed it, but once you start corralling large groups of survivors with you it's like impossible to manage it. At least that's what I remember when playing on the 360.
Dead Rising 2 fixed my only problem with DR1; making saving survivors less frustrating.
Anyone have any tips for escorting the survivors you rescue from the cult leader? They're the dumbest ones I've encountered so far.
Just want to say this:
Frank West > Every other DR protagonist
[sp] Althought I do like Chuck. Him and Frank make a good team[/sp]
It pisses me off that DR3[sp]basically took a dump on Chuck and turned him into some mobster Hulk Hogan lookalike. DR3 should've been included him and Frank going after Phenotrans where Case West left off.[/sp]
I haven't had a chance to look at DR's PC port yet, is it good? Are the controls reasonable or am I better off using my Xbox 360 controller with it?

Port's fantastic, runs well, decent number of graphics options and the controls are completely rebindable.
Mouse aim with guns/throwing weapons is a little slow, but it was somehow worse on the 360 back in 2006, so I'm fine with it. When you're not aiming mouse controls are perfect.
I just wish the OTR and DR3 co-op was as friendly as DR2's. I play with a friend across the globe in DR2, we're fine because zombies interact with you on a clientside basis. The only lag was occasionally my friend would jolt a few feet, or have a delayed reaction to my friendly fire. If I intentionally tried to harm my friend I wouldn't have any problems with like his player model was skipping ahead or lagging behind. If we intentionally fought, it was fine, save for the half second delay on the injury animation. Completely playable stuff.
As for Off the Record and Dead Rising 3, can't play for longer than 2 minutes before the co-op partner is automatically kicked for high ping.
It was fine for the DR2, why not even OTR?
