Once the game hits midnight of the last day I basically just stop playing and wait on the helipad because I can't be arsed to face special forces at that point into the game.
Am I the only one to do this ? I'd much rather have the game run idle for that entire duration than having to bother with bullet sponge enemies who ignore bullets altogether as a common fucking type

I used that time to power level. Just save, go outside, kill some special forces, heal, repeat.
special forces exist basically to farm to level 50 before the game finishes
Despite doing everything as intended and waiting on the helipad, the game gave me one of the bad endings instead of going into Overtime mode.
I feel so immensely cheated right about now.

that's cuz you sat on the helipad all night instead of going to see Isabela

Use special moves on their ass, face crusher and disembowel will oneshot them, and the other guys will refrain from shooting you while you're doing the moves. Mannequin torso will kill them in two hits, at high attack and throw, a handful of gems will put them on their ass, giving you enough time to within melee range.
gems also one shot those annoying drones too.

You need to speak to isabela after the special forces withdraw from the mall at 10 AM and be at the helipad at 12 to get overtime/the true ending.
man you get calls for that how do you not realise to do that
[editline]25th September 2016[/editline]
i guess you don't get any calls if you wait on the helipad
you fucked it

Oh, I completely forgot about that one. I only remember having to talk to her for the last case and then having basically free time for twelve hours.
To be honest I literally just left the game on standby for the twelve hours so chances are the call just went by and I didn't hear or notice it.
Guess I'll have to play through the game again.
It's funny because going to talk to her does nothing. She just tells you to go to the helipad without her

:tinfoil: Maybe she secretly infected you when you came back :tinfoil:

It makes sense really. If you don't go talk to her at all she just stays there consumed by guilt and sadness over the whole ordeal, but when you speak to her again you give her that little push to decide to come with at the last second (she shows up moments/minutes after frank falls to his knees).
I'm not exactly sure if isabela was ever specifically told about when exactly the chopper would be arriving, but frank popping in to give her a heads up provides incentive to follow (and save) frank when otherwise she would have just sat there and accepted being purged by the military.
Hey I recently got DR3 on pc, does anybody know how to make the inventory and aim mode not act so fucky. When ever I try to use them the menu Flips its shit and opens and closes rapidly
Btw I uncapped the frame rate, I dont know if that has anything to do with it

That has everything to do with it.
I wish Case Zero and Case West were available on PC. Then we could have the entire collection at last.

Case Zero's incredibly fucking depressing.
Case Zero's incredibly fucking depressing.
In what way?
In what way?
Well it's got a bleak locale with an even more bleak story and a protagonist who's already on the brink of going insane and who's gonna have to deal with four more years of this shit before things actually sort of start lightening up, but not really.
Apparently, Kent has 2 more survivors that I could rescue and I missed the other 3 survivors on the gun shop in the 3rd day, which Otis didn't tell me about.
Rip, guess I have to redo the Saint achievement. :saddowns:
on my first attempt at getting the saint achievement i accidentally killed a survivor because they walked infront of my shotgun at the moment i shot it
i dont think im going to get this achievement
I think the gameplay looks fun. it looks much faster paced an the controls look smooth.
I think the Dead Rising fanbase is peculiar in the way how it's so incredibly conservative. Which obviously is a personal preference but I'll probably still have a major blast with DR4.
I think it's also fair to say that the games are about different things. The first game is a challenging time management simulator, the second game is a fun zombie killing sandbox with somewhat easier time based elements, and the third game is just a much bigger, slightly more serious version of that. It's slowly become more about killing zombies than managing your time, and I think Dead Rising 2 is still my favorite in terms of balancing the two elements.
Yeah, personally DR2 hit a sweet spot for me. I totally can see why people like the other entires more though.

I killed two people with adams chainsaw, one while clearing out zombies for them to not get gangraped by, and one who was being eaten by zombies.
i experienced a weird bug where a survivor would just be stuck shouting for help and die
yeah in hindsight if they were gonna change one thing, better ai would've been nice

Kent only has one survivor afaik

Those two have my favorite Psychopath bosses in the entire series.
After giving DR1 a LOT of chances I finally got to actually enjoying it. DR2:OTR still is my fav, but DR1 is pretty cool as well.
Although, could anyone give me a tip about how to actually perform all the cool skills you get? The controls are wonky as hell and it seems completely random whether I manage to pull a move off or not.
I wish it had more of a Dragons Dogma esque control scheme where you'd map the skills of your choice to the free buttons, perhaps working in tandem with a tweaked version of the current system.
