Is there anyway to change the filter on DR2? It's a bit too washed out for me
Is there anyway to change the filter on DR2? It's a bit too washed out for me
Might be some mods. Theres a dedicated forum for dead rising mods. Im on my phone but it should be the first result on google.
Man I love this game (DR1) but I forgot just how braindead the AI could be.
They also have literally zero health and die immediately under any pressure.
How are the coop servers for DR2 and OTR? I just went to pick it up for my friend to play it through again and I've noticed a lot of negative reviews chastising the servers (and controller support) in the last couple of weeks.
I've been co-oping with a couple of friends the past few days and it works fine
I love the thread title, Slappy was one of my favorite psychopaths.
Man, I played DR3 at launch and enjoyed it but now that I've spent the last week or so blasting through DR1 and OTR I can't get over how wrong DR3 feels. Mainly the story and Nick. Nick doesn't have character or a real backstory until MUCH later in the game unlike like Frank or Chuck. And the story is all exposition, and they literally reveal the "mystery" at the beginning. My hopes have been lowered for 4, lower than I thought after the announcement of no TJ.

We tried different methods that were given on the forums but no results. After several days of trying, we just gave up. I have no idea if its the same with DR2. I'd assume its more stable.

I notice salty peanut is from America and you two aren't. Do you think that has anything to do with him being able to connect fine? Maybe only the american servers are still running or something.

I live in Australia, my friend lives in the USA, Seattle to be exact. DR2 co-op performs near flawlessly. Zombies are clientside and do not lag. Only lag is the other player's movement and reactions are slightly delayed. For example he'll attack a moment later on my screen than he really did, or something hits him on my screen, and a full second passes before he gets stumbled. It does not negatively affect him, as the zombie / Psychopath is clientside on his end as well. (Bosses are properly synced.) Although I saw him get hit, time passes, and then he reacts, on his end, he was sent stumbling the exact moment he was hit, just like it should be. To him, I have a delayed reaction as well. There's an occasional moment where he would warp a few feet to catch up to his real position. That's about it. For DR2:OTR and DR3, ping limits are enforced, and the client, should it be me or him depending on who's hosting, will always be kicked in under 2 minutes for high ping. Was very disappointing because we intended to fully co-op DR2, OTR, and DR3.
Does anybody know how to fix the fov in DR2? Tried the data.big unpack edit and pack thing but it just makes my game crash on launch
God fucking damn it, I've accidentally restarted DR1 three times today because I forgot how dying works.
God fucking damn it, I've accidentally restarted DR1 three times today because I forgot how dying works.
Beats forgetting to check the monitor every now and then on infinity mode to make Frank eat. I had 4 days 20 hours, for fuck sake.
A friend of mine bought (Traded) Dead Rising 1 for me (because German laws'n'shit) and I really enjoy this game, it quickly became one of my favourite games and I actually like replaying it, I love the Psychopaths, I love the Music, I love Frank West and I love beating the shit out of Zombies in creative ways Should I buy (or gifted) Dead Rising 2: Complete Pack?

However the online issues Slick mentioned above should be noted and it's also really picky if you don't have an official Xbox controller.
Problem is that Off the Record is un-downloadable for people in germany, from what I read you cannot bypass it with a VPN but people said you could get around it by getting the Complete Pack

I'd go for 2 in your situation then, as it's still a great game and one of the best co-op games out there right now.
Is Off The Record still unplayable, on PS4? Last time I tried it, I couldn't even get to the start menu.
Alright, consider this a public service announcement. To experience the actual ending to Dead Rising 4, you will have to buy Frank Rising, the DLC. The ending is out which I am linking here. https://www.reddit.com/r/deadrising/comments/5gkvgh/spoilers_the_complete_ending_to_dead_rising_4/ The comments on the thread talk about the ending being in Frank Rising. This is fucking awful enough to stop me from going to bed and letting you all know cause fucking money is important, and not all of you have the money for the entire game PLUS DLC.

They did the same thing with DR2 with going into Case West. Seems like people are nitpicking that there's no Overtime mode like there normally is and people are pitting them blame on the DLC.

But you got more value for your buck AND the true ending wasn't even taken out of the main game and sold at a later time like Frank Rising. Case West feels more like an after thought than trying to get money like Frank Rising.
I see it's basically like Overtime mode from DR1 where you got to collect all the shit. Honestly I don't think this would be a big deal if it was free. But oh well. Shame they got to money grub this shit. I'm hearing the game is half decent overall though.
I'll probably pick DR4 up if it ever comes to Steam and drops to like $20 in a sale. I know I won't be playing it alone and my friend's generally broke as fuck, so I'd rather have it on a platform where he can just click an arrow next to my name and click "join game" as well as it being at a price he can afford. [editline]5th December 2016[/editline] Because this game seems to appeal more to people who enjoy random fuckery, and that gets old real quick unless you've got friends to fuck around with.

Is it official they took out campaign coop?
Is it official they took out campaign coop?
Yes
this game is going to have such abysmal sales
Just a quick question Do you have to play the first dead rising to play the 4th. I think the 4th one is 16 years after the 1st. I've never played the first one . I've played the 2nd and 3rd. I was going to stop but I've just found out that there's no time limits so I'm definitely going to get it now. The time limits really put me off
