Decided to hold a tourney between all the amiibos I have (Marth and WiiFitTrainer didn't make it in time sorry you two) and recorded the results. It was best of 3, first match would be on battlefield and second match would be on the winners stage FD'd. (Same for 3rd). Also I tried to theme all the brackets so they'd make a little sense. Mario vs Luigi for example being a obvious one. Winners of Round 1: Pit (vs Kirby) Zelda (vs Link) Mario (vs Luigi) Peach (vs Yoshi) Captain Falcon (vs Samus) Little Mac (vs Villager) DK (vs Diddy) Fox (vs Pikachu) Winners of Round 2: Mario (vs Zelda) Pit (vs Peach) Fox (vs Falcon) Little Mac (vs DK) Winners of Round 3: Mario (vs Little Mac) Pit (vs Fox) Winners of Round FINAL: Pit (vs Mario) After watching 1v1's I'm a bit curious to how Amiibo's work. They've clearly forgotten 90% of the things I taught them at this point which is sad but I noticed in some matches it's like they become level 1 CPU's and it's really bizarre. In the Peach vs Pit round at several, several points during their first FD match they'd just stop and stare at each other for a full 10 seconds before doing some kind of clumsy swing. It was really really painful to watch, then the next match they were perfect shielding and flying all over the place fighting to the death. Also they seem to have forgotten how to go offstage and fight as only DK ever tried it. They'd jump off the stage and just kind of double jump before panicking and returning to the level.
I'm pretty sure amiibos are reluctant to hit eachother because they are aware that their main target is us, and they want to preserve their kind. That's the only logical solution. They know.

When given an unknown like another Amiibo, they have a hard time trying to figure out what to do. "This thing doesn't try to run, short jump Nair me! What do I do?!" or "It's off the side of the stage, but it's not like the meat bag, so I'm scared to go out and hit it"
Okay so apparently he has a youtube channel I'm dying this is too funny
Makes me look like a saint.
It just now occurred to me I have military clearance (for the civilian contracting portion of my job), and could use that to peruse the electronics store in the nearby base for amiibo. Of all places that would be free of scalpers, hoarders and thieves, I figure an armed and limited access installation would be my best bet.
Some of you might be wondering, did this work or not? Well... [t]http://i.imgur.com/meteoOO.jpg[/t] They had two left of Pit and FIVE of Captain Falcon. The only one they were sold out of was Little Mac.
For Wave 3, it will probably be the two third party figures and Shulk. Unless you live in the US, which it will be the four store exclusive figures and the two third party figures.
I'm planning to preorder the upcoming wave toys, but I'm not really sure which toys will be ultra-rare by release. Out of all the upcoming wave toys, which ones will be the rarest?
Other than the four exclusives and the third parties, Irk and Dedede
You know what? I actually kinda don't mind the stand on the Pit amiibo. It's a pleasant enough color that doesn't horribly clash with everything else, I'd say it's the best they could've gone with outside of just being clear. On the flip side, the semi-frosted clear post on Captain Falcon's is a little distracting. It should've been smooth clear, or been rotated 45-90 degrees so it's thinner when looking at the figure straight-on.
went to preorder majora lmt. ed but they were out. preordered toonlink amiibo tho
went to preorder majora lmt. ed but they were out. preordered toonlink amiibo tho
Unfortunately that turned into a scalper nightmare. :/

The reason they forgot most of the stuff is most likely because I have them fight 8-man smash's as kind of a screensaver type deal. It was just kinda odd.
Actually, from my experimentation, they seem to blank out if they've had little to no practice against characters of that weight class (since fighting light or heavy characters require vastly different tactics) My Fox turns awful when I pit him against anyone outside the medium-light spectrum, probably because I only train him as Fox myself.

[editline]9th January 2015[/editline] I was in the middle of paying for a preorder in a physical gamestop store when they sold out.
It's actually against federal law to knowingly resell items purchased from a US armed forces installation without expressed permission, unless it is "outside reasonable parameters of time or location" of its initial purchase (IE, several years, or no longer living in the country in which you obtained it) Sorry man. If I see it anywhere else though, I'll keep you in mind.
oh dang, but thanks for caring
found a few diddy congs today but didn't buy one. besides the derpy eyes they all have, one of them had an interesting manufacturing error- The machine that spray-painted the darkened details of brown fur seemingly lost control and drew dark fat lines around his elbows, knees, and butt
Is it worth ordering fox and link off best buy online?
Is it worth ordering fox and link off best buy online?
Fox yes, Link you can probably find pretty easily if you go to a store.

Agreed. I'm hoping it's as common as Link so I can replace mine (and give it to a friend overseas who likes Link, but unfortunately she can't seem to find amiibo anywhere)

I preordered The Lucina figma figure and it got me wondering. What if Nintendo made some High Quality collectors Amiibos? I think it would be pretty cool. Although Scalpers worry me that it could go terribly.
