Newegg has listed all the store exclusive amiibos. I have no idea what Newegg is doing right now but now I have several tabs open because of it.
Wave 3 comes out the 1st of February, I was at GS today.
I can't wait until I get my Meta Knight amiibo to 50, then still constantly beat him.

I've got a couple Amiibo I'm screwing around with in SSB, and now I've got a question.
So I can use the stat modifying things usually reserved for customized characters with Amiibo. Except that Amiibo "eat" the items instead of equip them, and thus can have a limitless amount thrown down their craws. They also keep all the modifications active no matter what gamemode they're in. And, while the items with fancy abilities have hefty stat penalties, the generic stat-shuffling ones as a rule give more than they take away.
Throwing multiple Amiibo into the fray also makes them come back from fights with goodies that go into your inventory. Most commonly among them, tons and tons of the previously mentioned generic buff equipment.
So is there anything --anything at all-- stopping me from just steadily pumping my Princess Peach with stat buffs until she's the dainty sequined destroyer of worlds and crusher of cosmos?
No.
Unless you count yourself.

Just pre-ordered my favourite character Toon Link, can't wait to get a hold of him.
Amazon UK are doing wave 3 part 1 pre-orders now. Bowser, Sheik, Rosalina, Lucario, Ike and Toon Link.
And unless I've been having bad luck, Rosalina has been really hard to find a pre-order for so this seems like a fun opportunity.
Ended up putting in a cancelation request for my Amiibo from Walmart, they keep pushing back the ship out date like they got a trillion preorders for each item. I'm better off just buying them in-store in a couple days after release at this rate.
Just a heads up but 2/1/2015 is almost guaranteed to be a placeholder date and not the actual release date.

Ah good to know, they pushed my ship date to Febuary 13th after moving it back twice, so I figured it was time to just cancel it and try my luck later.
Yeah wave 2 was listed in a similar fashion but seemed to come out "whenever" in the states.

Is there a reliable/cheapish way to order amiibo from Hong Kong? IIRC they aren't really having a problem with amiibo shortages or whatever

We aren't, but I'm not actually sure about ways to order from here. I'm going to go to the store tomorrow, I'll ask about orders.
Just got Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Bowser, Shiek and Toon Link ! I'm glad I managed to get the first two without haing to spend 40 euros each, I got them at their original prices on amazon
Uhh. Is it just on my end, or have the official Amazon listings for amiibo all disappeared aside from Fox and Toon Link?
I have Jap Marth, Fox, Little Mac, DK, and Toon Link; along with a bunch of controllers and the Mario Bros amiibo for Wave 4 on the last page. No preorders up on those though.
