Wave 3 is having scattered launch dates through out the month. Mega Man is set for release on the 20th.

a worthwhile 10 minute wait in 15 degree weather
i showed up at 7:15 (didn't open till 8:00) and was 3rd in line. didn't even have to it turns out, they had 32 pieces of Rosalina, and only 12 people showed up by the time they opened. :v:

For my sanity I'll say it's someone putting them out for sale.
I have a hard time believing anything from the Zelda line will be rare, but on the flipside Sheik is a one-off that's only in the game because she was popular in smash so... I guess I can kinda see her being uncommon. The Falcon basically who sometimes shows up in online shops at random.

The Best Buy nearest to me hasn't received a single shipment of Nintendo products since some douche bought the entirety of their wave 2 stock (including everyone's preorders, somehow) on release day morning.
No new amiibo, consoles or even games, just nothing. Their Nintendo section has been running dry for weeks. What's going on?
My target had a single person come in and buy every single Bowser and Toon Link in one swoop, and I guess they got zero Rosalina as well :(

Oh great! thanks to stupid employees for making the scalpers job much easier.

A couple places locally are reviewing possible preventative measures to the mass-buy touring problem they've been plagued with lately (people highway driving state to state and buying all the rares along the way to resell)
They've already stopped accepting cash for orders containing amiibo SKUs, because people were using the anonymity to avoid the per-person limits and avoid being put on "known reseller, do not serve" lists in the area, and now they're considering adding bulk fees to the mix (where they add a percentage of the MSRP to your total that increases the more of a single item you buy) to make touring less profitable for scalpers. Things have gotten pretty ridiculous.
