Is the samus amiibo slated to still be in production or should I buy it now if I want it?
In total according to amazon I will be paying 31 dollars.

If you have them in your area, check stores like Walmart and target, it's fairly common it seems.

Samus is not being restocked in some areas, but yet it is in others. It's so inconsistent that it varies from state to state in the US.
SO does anyone know when pre-orders go up for the 4th wave? I'm hesitant to pre-order offline from places like amazon since its online, and I'd much rather pre-order from GameStop which has been very reliable for me for waves 2 and 3.
No one knows. Only ones that went up are the Mario series ones (at amazon only), I mean fuck we haven't even gotten the offer for the Mario Party 10 bundle at gamestop because we don't have anything.
EB Games put them up for pre-order right after the Direct, so I already have a secured Ness, Robin and Lucina. Fucking GameStop.

I'm happy with just having Samus for now.
At this point I think the only other I want, and will preorder, is Duck Hunt. But if the store I work at gets another shipment with Bowser I may pick one up.

Stay hopeful, man. It's coming later in the year. They could implement a support for amiibos in it.
Plus, 2 of the cast are in Smash. It could happen. The series I'm scared about not getting any are F-Zero and Metroid.

Captain Falcon's amiibo could unlock Insane difficulty in F-Zero UX, and Fox/Falco could open challenge missions in Starfox Squadron.

Or they could keep all Amiibo functionality cosmetic to prevent shitstorms over how you have to spend $12 to unlock another part of the game

They would be things you can unlock through other means without them, but are obtainable immediately through use of the amiibo.
Think of it like Luigi Bros in SM3DW.

IE, unlock Insane mode by beating all cups in UX on the highest standard difficulty, unlock challenge missions in Squadron by completing optional story objectives... Or just use the amiibo.
Nobody's missing out on content, some are just able to get it earlier as a perk of having the figure.

They aren't selling the SMB Mario amiibo alone.
Maybe it will be available after the bundle...

The only way to unlock a certain weapon in Hyrule Warriors was to buy the Link amiibo. So it is not to far from being a possibility of other games. I don't know how people really felt about it though.

Most people who play Hyrule Warriors are kinda "eh whatever" because link has like 12 weapons already so it's kinda eh. People who don't play HW get mad because IT IS A REQUIRED PART OF THE GAME THEY ARE SELLING TO YOU INSTEAD OF GIVING IT TO ME FOR FREE.

That's what I get from some of my anti-amiibo friends- they think Nintendo's carving out content and saving it for the dlc, that you [I]need[/I] to buy amiibos, but for the most part (apart from Mario Party 10, which has a mode for it) they're rather unneeded.
...though the three that sit next to me (Bluigi, Kong Jovi, and Sheamus) kinda detract from my argument, but that's beside the point.
Ended up buying a Shiek from Japan, they're far more fairly priced than the scalpers :v:
