My Meta Knight, and DDD Amiibo came in today, thus completing the Kirby Series.

To those confused, the Monado actually isn't hollow there; as stated very early in the game, that spot has several layers of what seems to be extremely durable glass, onto which the symbols are projected.

This requires etched glass, so it's obvious there's a projection surface there, but the Monado probably uses micro-etching and selective frequency projection to achieve the 'floating symbol' look.

Yay! Amazon emailed me with a shipping date for my Mega Man Amiibo! Should have it by Monday.
So today I went to GameStop to pick up a battle.net prepaid card to waste my life on Blizzard games, I strolled over to the Wii U section to just browse and see what they had. I glanced at the Amiibos to see if by some miracle they might have had a King Dedede, but of course there wasn't anything.
So I go to check out and get in line when I notice a group of guys pass by who had a particularly interesting odor. There were like two skinny guys and a fat guy who all crowded around the Amiibos and began to pick through them slowly and carefully. They were all talking amongst themselves about how many copies of X rare amiibo they had and how they would get their friends to pre-order for them and how one guy would buy tons of amiibos even if he hated Nintendo just to make money off of them.
I feel bad for kids all over America now.
Uhh. My Toon Link order with Gamestop is showing as "Closed", meaning it's either gotten here (which it hasn't) or it's been cancelled.
Can anyone else who ordered one through them confirm this wasn't just me?

Closed means it's been shipped to the store or canned. If you're pending your fine.

The charge on my card is pending, meaning the money is set aside but hasn't been deducted yet. The order itself is "Closed", with no status update email.
According to the tooltip on the order page, that either means it's reached its destination (I don't have it), or the order has been canned by either party.

Once you see a physical representation of Meta Knight, you start to realize his range back in Brawl was actually WAY exaggerated for what those tiny arms and tiny sword should be able to do.

Personally I just collect them because they're nice figures. Any in-game functionality is just a bonus to me.

Both. I think they look nice for the most part (and some just flat out look good) and I use them as a sorta screensaver by having them fight while I work "oh wonder who's winning" kinda thing.
