I didn't say I hate collectors, I said I wouldn't mind if that happened. Me specifically, a person who has no interest in the investment aspect of such a hobby.
Personal opinion though, collect what you like, not what you think you can spin for double the price later. It's a lot less stressful that way, for everyone.

Also, I picked up Mega Man yesterday, he's definitely one of the best sculpted characters I've seen yet. Not that the rest aren't great (save for some Marth and Ike heads circulating the market)
A Megaman and Sonic I ordered are coming tomorrow and I have Shulk preordered and paid for May, just need Dedede, Ike, Falcon, Lucario, and Pit.
I even bought an extra Rosalina Day 1 for the purpose of trading.

Samus is one of the better-looking ones in my opinion. I'd put her in the top five among the likes of Pit, Toon Link and Megaman in terms of quality and accuracy.
Zelda is one of the better looking humanoid amiibos

tell ya what. my local gamestops said that their wave 3s wouldn't come in till tomorrow or go on sale or whatever. I'm swinging by there after work, they open at 10 am (I work nights so I'll be getting back in town around then anyway) and said theyve never had an issue with lines. if I can snag one, I'll sell it to you at normal retail price plus whatever it'll cost to ship it to you

Nintendo really needs a way to buy directly from them, as well as a way to request to be put on a waiting list if one is out of stock, so you're automatically signed up for the next batch they put out.
Hell, near anybody who sells them would benefit from that second part. Having to refresh a page over and over again in the dead of night to MAYBE catch the ten or so minutes they're in stock sucks, just let me give you my money with the promise you'll get one to me as soon as possible.

Seems now the ONLY way of getting an amiibo of choice now is to camp outside a few hours before opening or be on high alert for online.
Seeing as how I couldn't find preorders worth fuck I'm kind of okay with this.
