Very much so; many of the online stores got multiple batches of him this week.
He's far from Bowser or even Toon Link or Shiek tier common. He gets replenished often online but gets snatched up in minutes. I tried 2 or 3 times and each time he was gone before I could click the confirm order button.

I was at Target yesterday, and they were putting up a sign that looked like this.

I asked them if anymore came with the sign, and they basically told me "Nope, and we don't know when we will"
What is the point of putting up the damn sign then?
Ironic, since the last few times and the last few places I've been to, they've basically said "Our last restock request was denied, so we're probably never going to get more."
Hopefully the exclusives being "exclusive at launch" at these places means they'll be open season later.
I'm hoping the next few waves won't be as big as a travesty as 3. Store exclusives don't work the way they're thinking; it'd be better if they just focus production on like, 4-5 characters in order to give people a chance to relax and not stay up until 6 am waiting for a 3-minute pre-order window.
I just hope exclusives are over after the gold Mario. They all went incredibly poorly, and ultimately benefited overpriced foreign trade more than they did Nintendo.
It seemed like they went for instead of having 160 amiibos divided into 40 for 4 different chains, you'd expect store exclusives to be 160 going to one store, but NOOOPPPEEE, 40 for one store, 120 going to who-knows-where.

Oh my god. And people were complaining about Marth? They look like metallic shits.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there's a lot you can forgive when you remember the figures are only about three inches tall on average. IMO, amiibo are small enough where you don't start noticing flaws until you bring them quite close, so they're perfect shelf pieces.

I have other 4/5-inch unarticulated figures with markedly less detail, and they cost way more. I think it's actually kind of astonishing they look as good as they do, all things considered.

Oh, I know. It just looks funny. I don't hold it against them or anything. I'm just pleased my Luigi looks so good and I hope Ness is similarly well-detailed.

I kind of wish Luigi had a different pose for his Smash amiibo, it would make it look a lot better with a Mr. L paint job.

I had a dream where lo and behold in one of the shelves of my room I had Ike, Marth, and 2 Lucinas, one broken off her base.
I was depressed to wake up and find that not true.
I just want my Robin.
I should also mention Marth's face was worse than normal and Ike's sword was a formless blob that resembled a morbidly obese sword.

I'm glad Megaman is not too rare. Friend of mine is really into the series, and I was afraid they'd be like me and my Captain Falcon need. Thankfully they were able to grab a copy of 17 bucks, and they were so happy.

I guess the Smash series are in scale compared to each other hence why a dedicated series for Mario is bigger in comparison.
Unfortunately, early reports are suggesting they seem to be made of an even cheaper plastic, and scuff easily if dropped.
