Finally someone qualified to fire lethal shots.
http://disneyinfinitycodes.com/john-vignocchis-game-informer-podcast-interview-recap/ John Vignocchi, producer of Disney Infinity, says it's "irresponsible and rude to your hard core fans" for understocking the amiibo.
He's damn right and I'm glad somebody important is finally calling out Nintendo of America's bullshit. Unrelated, in the interview he says the new Star Wars thing is gonna have both open world and spline flying, which I'm quite interested in. Anyone have Disney Infinity and can tell me their whole schtick?
I got lucky and got a Ness. Here's hoping I can trade him for Lucina.
Guessing you live in Indianapolis.
what the shit I live in Indiana are there 3 of us in Indiana [editline]9th June 2015[/editline]
http://disneyinfinitycodes.com/john-vignocchis-game-informer-podcast-interview-recap/ John Vignocchi, producer of Disney Infinity, says it's "irresponsible and rude to your hard core fans" for understocking the amiibo.
Yeah seriously, I never look at Disney Infinity aisle and feel like one character is way more hard to find than another, they've literally never seemed to have bad stock, if a guy was missing it was always at the store next door or something, none of them were like "shit gotta buy him because hes never around"
Make that four of us in Indiana.
apparently the guy was paraphrasing what John said “So, you know.. heres the thing. We don’t ever try to deliberately create a shortage to create demand. That is the most totally irresponsible and uncool thing to do to our fans.” these are his exact words [editline]9th June 2015[/editline] Facepunch Indiana meet up when
The worst part is when Nintendo discontinues an amiibo that hardly anyone got an opportunity to buy in the first place.
have they actually done that shit
Aside from Gold Mario, I believe Nintendo has never made an official statement on any amiibo being "discontinued", regardless of whatever a retail employee says.
Keep eyes out on GS, they're silently putting up W4 Amiibos. Ness just came and went like the wind.
The Amiibo figurines for Nintendo characters Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer have largely disappeared from store shelves since the product line's November 21 launch. After the November 21 launch of Amiibo, Nintendo’s line of Skylanders-style interactive figurines that connect to Wii U games including Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8, would-be buyers started to notice that supply of some of the figurines dried up fast at retail outlets and online, and didn’t seem to reappear. Today, Nintendo confirmed to WIRED that this was deliberate, and the company does not plan to ship any more of several of the Amiibo figurines after the “initial shipment.” “We will aim for certain amiibo to always be available. These will be for our most popular characters like Mario and Link. Due to shelf space constraints, other figures likely will not return to the market once they have sold through their initial shipment,” read the full statement.
Source. Obviously they decided to rerun them due to high demand (except Wii Fit Trainer perhaps?), but the initial plans were to discontinue them entirely.

He is extremely rare to find in the Disney Infinity line.
I could have sworn I saw Syndrome a few days ago near a shit ton of Mario amiibos. [editline]9th June 2015[/editline] [t]https://40.media.tumblr.com/c2da90a24648da14eb6994e8fb5b9a13/tumblr_npnd5sM2x01rj8tq0o1_1280.png[/t]
As someone who had to buy Syndrome from a scalper, I feel he has no right to talk. He is extremely rare to find in the Disney Infinity line.
Really? I see him and Mr. Incredible here all the time. Granted they're used, but I still see them.

Game freak pls
As someone who had to buy Syndrome from a scalper, I feel he has no right to talk. He is extremely rare to find in the Disney Infinity line.
No he isn't
Why do the pokemon amiibos NEVER get a use? Game freak pls
Because eventhough they're co-published, Creatures Inc deals as an inbetween them and Game Freak, Game Freak themselves has final say on how the Pokemon themselves are rendered. so like in Smash, Pikachu has lots of hats...or maybe slight shiny coloration, same thing goes with Jigglypuff or Lucario. it's brand recognition, if Yoshi had a Pikachu color, suddenly Pokemon might start to appear everywhere, even in areas where they're not justified. Because really, even the Sonic Yoshi isn't called that, but called Sonic the Hedgehog Yoshi, presumably to retain the brand identity. speaking of which, Sonic's colors are all shades of blue....Mega Man gets off easy since changing colors is consistent to his character, no one's going to bat an eye at a red or green Mega Man. in the case of Sonic, it doesn't help that other than his speed, there's nothing really to distance himself from other similar characters in his own series, most characters shares the same build, if Sonichu has taught me anything is that spreading something unique is just thinning down everyone. it's like the Sonic series has in-series OCs that got more ridiculous until they added temporary antagonists like Chip. 2 Blazes? a Psychic hedgehog? Espio is so close to Sonic that Knuckles Chaotix was originally going to have Sonic, it's an in-series OC the Character. now they just distance him by expressing his chameleon traits and making him a ninja for some reason.
Really? I see him and Mr. Incredible here all the time. Granted they're used, but I still see them.
He's even in a 3 pack with Davy Jones and Randall. How much price difference from a retail is it before you call it scalping? I'd say 5-10 dollars 3 years after new is a coincidence, it's 1.0 and a character not many people find cool, and now 3.0 is coming out. Any rarity is entirely coincidental like he says. [editline]9th June 2015[/editline] Like I'm finding it for 15 bucks in box right now, and 18 for that 3 pack. How'd you get so ripped?
Decided to go trade in some old games I don't play for some store credit, ended up coming home with a Sheik, Mega Man and a Pac-Man
