Nintendo of America is in charge of this shit, no? I think the amiibo shortage isn't nearly as bad outside of America.
Found a glitch with my amiibos. If you put 2 amiibos in a 1v1 match, they end up staring at each other waiting for the other to make a move. To fix this, you have to put the amiibos in a 30 minute 8 player smash against a bunch of lvl 9 cpus

It is, here in Spain I don't even know when new waves are coming out because it seems it's 100% random at this point.
I managed to get a wario because the game manager asked for 4 extra, otherwise they would have only received 4 that were preordered. Shit's bonkers.

Usually if you have them fight in a 8 man brawl a whole lot (or just large matches) they'll still kind of be in that "mode" when it comes to 1v1 so they just try to react to getting hit and such. Just give em a match or two and they'll go back to normal.

Other than not understanding the basics of Supply and Demand, Nintendo has a long history of abandoning and ignoring IPs that do not pertain to the Mario and Zelda franchise. I can't really include Pokemon as Nintendo only cares about Pickachu. Once the [movie/game/etc] of some other pokemon is out, their out of the limelight.
Even their more popular franchises like Pikmin get thrown into the recycle bin after awhile. Pikmin 3 went out of print a couple of months ago, so sucks for anyone who wants a physical copy of it.
Unless it has to do with some new game or project, Nintendo is going to ignore it. I wouldn't be surprised if the Trainer/Villager reprint is tied to some future Wii Fit/Animal Crossing game this E3. Probably safe to assume that was the reason why we got a Marth reprint was because of Codename STEAM.
I'll find it funny that one day the ROB Amiibo may be so rare that it'll be cheaper to buy an actual ROB
I still want to get ROB for the novelty of having my actual ROB hold it on my shelf.
I'd not only own a Smash character, but I'd own a figure of a Smash character that I own.
Play-asia has Palutena/Ganondorf/ZSS/Dank Pit up but they're all massively overpriced so uh, go for it if you really want it I guess.

So far the cards that have been shown for Animal Crossing for that digital designer. Who knows when the cards will come out if ever.

It ain't much better in the Netherlands.
Most stores don't even stock Amiibo anymore because they couldn't get rid of the Wave 1 surplus, which meant that the shelves got filled up by only Mario, Luigi and Diddy Kong Amiibos which weren't getting sold.
The one store nearby which still stocks them only does it with pre-ordering online.
Which means that when a new wave goes up, it gets sold out near instantly by scalpers and third-party sellers selling them for 50 euros at the least.
Doesn't help either how said store doesn't give any hints when the pre-orders went up.
At this point, it seems that getting the Amiibo of my brother's mains isn't going to happen ever.
I managed to get a Greninja amiibo on ebay for like $23 and its the first ebay auction I've ever won. Way more than I would like, but realistically speaking, I would never be able to get one at retail locally. Only one Toys R Us for a couple hundred miles. And apparently SE S Dakota Craigslist is absolutely devoid of Amiibos period.
I got my Marths, gave the US one to my sister. At lv 50, I pit him against my Shulk, all of a sudden he became a little shit and hopped everywhere instead of actually walking.
