i'm thinking about resetting my Falcon
i didn't know much about the training mechanics and now he's 41, plus i'd like to get rid of his status effects (Which somehow still apply when custom fighters are off? Wtf) and retrain him, making sure i don't feed him any items that give him speed crasher, or vampire hits, or flower rods, or extra damage at 0%, etc.
Collection so far. The only one I cant get a pre-order on was Rosalina and Luma. Target didn't handle that one well at all.

did you really need three villagers
One to use, one to modify, one to hoard? :v:
Three to hoard.
Because the less others have, the better :v:

Anyone else going to try (keyword try) to preorder Ness when he goes up for preorder? People are speculating he will sell out preorders faster then Rosalina and Luma.

You have no idea
Edit: Like be ready to preorder him at gamestop or in store the absolute SECOND you see him. Earthbound fans are goddamn insane and there's no way Ness isn't going to be the rarest of the series.
Ness is one I can almost guarantee people will be hording to turn a humongous profit, though I estimate while he will be near impossible to find anywhere online (the moment a link is posted to starmen.net, it's over), you might actually be able to find a few in stores, especially if said store isn't within 20 miles of a state route.
Why that last part? In the US, there are some people doing "merch tours" along main east/west routes, going state by state, highway town by highway town to buy all the rare ones they can afford before heading home. It's sad, it's frustrating, but it's happening.
I just want my Yoshi and Pacman, those aren't rare right?
I just want my Yoshi and Pacman, those aren't rare right?
Yoshi shouldn't be. Pac-man is third party so there's a pretty big chance he'll be limited.

changed .de to .com and

ouch
Ordered a Peach, Captain Falcon, Pit and Zelda just now. Turns out the best online prices I can find in the UK are on Tesco Direct. £10 per figure which is pretty great since most game stores have risen the price to £15 per figure. Collecting from my local store on Wednesday.
Someone figured out how to spoof amiibo.

Or I actually really like the villager? These aren't unopened, I use them all. They're just carefully cut out so I can place them back in. I also realize I forgot to include Zelda in the picture. I have all the available ones. Not being a hoarder or some scalper.

Can't wait to see the giant pillar holding the duck and both the front and back paws up.

[sp]"Best case scenario" mockup I made
Dog's body on unseen side is anchored to the post the duck is on, so it doesn't need extended leg support[/sp]
As much as I want a Duck Hunt amiibo. I have a bad feeling they will mess it up with the stands. But I really hope it's like yours.
Duck Hunt will be the only amiibo of a character I can't play worth anything that I will not only attempt to preorder day one, but would be willing to pay 2-3x retail for.
No two ways about it, I gotta represent the first video game I ever played.
i don't even like playing as duck hunt but i'd be crazy to not buy all the unlockable characters' amiibos

I think this got proven to be fake. Guy kept denying showing the trophy land and such and kinda got backed into a corner.
If he was just being a jerk though and it is real then neat regardless.

Looks pretty real to me

How he did it: He has a Linux computer which is pretending to be a Gamepad (as evidenced by his previous videos). As a result of this, he can feed the WiiU false sensor data (telling the system there's something interacting with the NFC module, for instance), and in the case of amiibo, since their identity is basically a string of numbers represented by a physical near-field array inside the figure, all he has to do is send the system strings of numbers from the simulated NFC module which are similar to figures already in existence, increment the value until one of them turns up a valid result. If he automated this process, it might've only taken a minute or two to bruteforce DHD's unique identifier.
How he did it (layman ver.): His WiiU thinks his computer is a gamepad thanks to an application he wrote, and he can use this application to trick the WiiU into thinking any amiibo he wants is interacting with it.
Comment retracted then, didn't know he did more!

One step closer to smartphone amiibo emulators
I wouldn't go that far. In order to do exactly what he did with a smartphone, you need the WiiU to think it's a gamepad first, which is WAY easier said than done.
His computer is basically saying to the WiiU "I am a gamepad, and someone put a Duck Hunt Duo amiibo on my NFC reader. Load the appropriate data."
[editline]t[/editline]
Amiibo use a shaped antenna (which reflects a single shortwave pulse in a specific way) to identify themselves, transitioning to pulse transfer during R/W (sending strings of data as multiple I/O pulses), and smartphones are only capable of reading shaped antenna, not simulating them.
Your phone and the gamepad are both readers, and while readers have the capability to talk to eachother through pulse communication, the gamepad refuses to talk to anything unless it shows a shaped antenna as identification first. Because of this, I don't think smartphone amiibo emulators will be possible without some manner of complex workaround.
I want to get only the amiibos I like for Wave 3, but I'm afraid of the rest (Toon link, sheik, RosaLuma and Lucario) turning into:
[t]http://i.imgur.com/fBtj35J.png[/t]
Toon Link and Sheik are going to be the common ones of wave 3.
Lucario and Rosalina holy shit get on that any means possible.
