The "official" schedule for amiibos are a joke. We don't even have set dates that they're supposed to come in, the preorders go up with little to no notice and are sold out immediately and the release dates mean nothing because we get them in practically at random.
Having to religiously follow every retailer's websites is not fun at all.
And i'm glad i stopped. It really started do drive me insane. I'd rather wait, and not give my money to some dirty ass scalper.

Most Target shipments are badly damaged box-wise, though the figures are all untouched.
Doesn't hurt the folks who just collect the figures, but I can't imagine the in-box collectors are having a fun time.

Complain about the box and get a new one free of charge. When you pay for a figure you pay for the whole thing, box included. It was damaged in shipment and you're well within your rights to get another sent or at least get it replaced.
I know Amazon often won't even bother taking the item back and just sends out a new one, but I dunno if Target will do that.
Nah, I'm not really a NiB collecter anyway; I like to cut the plastic box off the card with a boxcutter and put them in as a background on my shelves. A minor crease won't really be that much of an issue. Still a bit dissapointed they didn't put in package peanuts or an airbag or something.

Yeah that picture's old. Also that was right when the store opened that morning, about 7/8 of all that disappeared within a couple hours (according to the OP of that image, looking for source now)
Yesterday I got Ganondorf and Bowsy (Bowser Jr for everyone outside of Spain), the only amiibos I want that I don't have yet are Captain Falcon and Mr Game and Watch.

Wish I knew of this strategy before I opened my greninja. Part of the back is stuck to the plastic and knowing I could have avoided it bothers me.
so my dads wife is in japan and I gave her some money for an amiibo hunt. said she found all 4 I was looking for, marth, ike, robin and lucina, for regular retail price. that was last week. also last week my buddy found a used marth on sale and bought him for me as a surprise birthday present. I don't have the heart to tell either of em that the other has gotten me one, so hell I guess I'll have two marths lmao.
may end up selling or raffling one off to a facepuncher. or maybe offer it as a prize for first place for the next smashpunch tournament, who knows

Jarn Joshi is smaller than I thought it would be.
If the MSRP for Yarn Yoshi is 13$ like the rest of the Amiibos that's about the size I'd expect, though I don't know the MSRP because every search result is like 30-50$ because Nintendo hates their playerbase.
