I'm not sure how true that part is, japanese gameplay shows that the villagers are randomized- you just force them to show up early using the cards and can use them in amiibo festival somehow.

I although I mainly wanted G&W, I guess Duck Hunt and ROB are fine too.
I wanted Duck Hunt and maybe ROB for the novelty. G&W might be a nice thing to give to a friend.
After that all I need is Ganon and Falco, and I'd basically be done.

As much as it sucks to think, someone working in post might've stolen it and replaced it with another item of somewhat similar size and weight.
Happened to a friend of mine years ago. Sent in his DS for repairs, and got a response telling him the item they received (tattered old hardcover book) wasn't valid. Days later someone at his local post office was arrested for multiple counts of mail theft, and one of the items they admitted to stealing was a DS (which they threw away when they realized it was broken)

I think everything about chibi robo is fucking hideous. I just can't get into the game because everything looks like a nightmare mutant.

The one they found out and charged only had to serve a prison sentence. No fines, no compensations.
Thankfully this was around the time the DSi came out, so said friend was able to get a regular DS used pretty cheap.

There's really no point to them since you can't apply an already made mii fighter to them. It uses the mii of the owner you set.
Not to mention they are, of course, generic mii figures that you'd need a bunch of extra material and talent to customize them to match the mii stored on it.
