It makes sense honestly. Marth is Ike's friend so he stuck his face in a hot vat of oil so he wouldn't hurt said friends self esteem. The rounded sword is in case it fell on someone. Ike thinks about everyone.
He's called Irk now
He's called Irk now
Eek
Hey I found who took all the amiibo stock http://www.nintendonuggets.com/?p=1427
That's the saddest person alive
That's the saddest person alive
Okay so apparently he has a youtube channel I'm dying this is too funny
Ike, DeDeDe, and Shulk pre-ordered. Can't wait to see what Wave 4 has
holy fuck mariotehplumber. That brings back memories. He just makes up bullshit to fuck with people, I've known about this guy for years now. You should see the shit he does about classic vs. new sonic. Video probably is fake. idk about the interview though. Why you would even want to interview this person is beyond me. Edit: oh, its MtP being interviewed. Yeah its fake lmao
Ike, DeDeDe, and Shulk pre-ordered. Can't wait to see what Wave 4 has
Well some big guy Nintendo Rep said that some Wave 4 were leaked already, so I'm guessing Ness and Charizard are a part of them.
Well some big guy Nintendo Rep said that some Wave 4 were leaked already, so I'm guessing Ness and Charizard are a part of them.
Oh shit sweet got a link to which ones are in Wave 4? Hoping Robin or Ganon are one of them.
Hey I found who took all the amiibo stock http://www.nintendonuggets.com/?p=1427

Randy: Trading with the Figurine Platform, how would you like to see Amiibo’s evolve moving forward? DD: Maybe an amiibo like game that lets you play as these characters in the game.

Oh shit sweet got a link to which ones are in Wave 4? Hoping Robin or Ganon are one of them.
No, the Rep didn't want his head cut off because they're not announced yet, but I've heard rumors of Wario being in Wave 4 too. Don't keep me to it. This is the interview, which was definitely posted here so don't cut off my head for reposting it.
i fyte 4 mi frends [t]http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/61PZ3mxfeOL._AA1200_.jpg[/t] [sp]That's the final version of Ike why nintendo[/sp]
... Eh. That's still not as bad as Marth. The face is something that can be fixed, since he doesn't have the deformed potato head Marth does (the sculpting is actually pretty good compared to wave 1). Also... Thank GOD they changed the color of the sword's support so it's different from the sword itself. That was gonna bug me forever, it's honestly something I would've altered myself if the final version still had that.

The stand also bends upwards and that bugs me.
Probably because the way Ike's holding it means it can't be attached very securely to his hand, so they chose instead to deeply and firmly root it into the base, so it'll stay in place even if it breaks out of Ike's grip at the top. It's probably also an additional support in case excessive lateral force is applied, so his legs aren't exclusively left to endure it. People tell me Marth has a problem with separating from his base at the shins if you're a little too rough (IE, a child) I can legitimately see why most of the stands were done the way they were done, I'm just annoyed they aren't doing everything possible to minimize their visibility (Link, Fox, etc...)

I mean Ike thrusts his sword into the ground, they could've made the tip into a brick and that would've been the stand, from inside the base. [sp]This feels like it'd be better explained with a picture, should I make a mockup?[/sp]
True, but then they would've had to either make the sword longer or futz with his posture and make it less accurate to the promo art, which I don't think they're willing to do (unless it's by absolute necessity, or by accident like Marth)

It's also very close to the edge of the stand, so that may have been a concern. Either way, they likely had a few ideas of how they were going to do it, and went with the one that to them made the most logistical sense, in terms of overall material usage, complexity of the mold, durability and reduction of weak points, etc. Look at this way: it could've turned out worse.
I can't wait for something like nintendo coming out and saying they'll reprint a lot of the in-demand rares and a bunch of scalpers' investments goes the way of the beanie baby
Nah, they will probably end up saying that they are canceling the whole Amiibo franchise because of how bad they are at handling the Supply & Demand.
PSA: If anyone is still hunting the super rares (sans Villager and Pit) and are okay with importing from Japan, Amiami just put Fox, Wii Fit Trainer, Marth, Little Mac, and Captain Falcon up for order. It says "not in stock" during ordering, so they must be getting new shipments soon. If all the rumors about Little Mac are true, this may be your last shining ray of hope to get Little Mac for a decent price (at least, for a while).
I was waiting until I got confirmation but yeah, my Little Mac has just been shipped off. Thanks a bunch for the heads up.
Check me out! I'm a filthy scalper! [t]http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h89/Veris_Zaos/20150108173632.jpg[/t] Actually the story is, I panicked ordered a Japanese Pit when Toys R Us did their massive cancellations of amiibos awhile back. A few days after the Jap Pit shipped, TRU reinstated all my pre-orders and shipped the Pit right after so I couldn't cancel it. Both Pits arrived at the same time so I'll be returning the Pit to TRU tomorrow.
Do most Amazon Market Place products take a month to be delivered? My Villager shipped last Friday and found it odd that the estimated delivery was Tuesday, January 27, 2015 - Tuesday, February 17, 2015

Well I ordered from a seller calling him self Japan-SAMURAI-Shop. I was thinking that I was importing it but the shipping & handling was only $3.99. He didn't give tracking information to Amazon so I have no clue where it is right now. :v:
It just now occurred to me I have military clearance (for the civilian contracting portion of my job), and could use that to peruse the electronics store in the nearby base for amiibo. Of all places that would be free of scalpers, hoarders and thieves, I figure an armed and limited access installation would be my best bet.

Russell has 25 of your favorite amiibo in his barracks to sell when he gets home.

Decided to hold a tourney between all the amiibos I have (Marth and WiiFitTrainer didn't make it in time sorry you two) and recorded the results. It was best of 3, first match would be on battlefield and second match would be on the winners stage FD'd. (Same for 3rd). Also I tried to theme all the brackets so they'd make a little sense. Mario vs Luigi for example being a obvious one. Winners of Round 1: Pit (vs Kirby) Zelda (vs Link) Mario (vs Luigi) Peach (vs Yoshi) Captain Falcon (vs Samus) Little Mac (vs Villager) DK (vs Diddy) Fox (vs Pikachu) Winners of Round 2: Mario (vs Zelda) Pit (vs Peach) Fox (vs Falcon) Little Mac (vs DK) Winners of Round 3: Mario (vs Little Mac) Pit (vs Fox) Winners of Round FINAL: Pit (vs Mario) After watching 1v1's I'm a bit curious to how Amiibo's work. They've clearly forgotten 90% of the things I taught them at this point which is sad but I noticed in some matches it's like they become level 1 CPU's and it's really bizarre. In the Peach vs Pit round at several, several points during their first FD match they'd just stop and stare at each other for a full 10 seconds before doing some kind of clumsy swing. It was really really painful to watch, then the next match they were perfect shielding and flying all over the place fighting to the death. Also they seem to have forgotten how to go offstage and fight as only DK ever tried it. They'd jump off the stage and just kind of double jump before panicking and returning to the level.
