I refuse to believe that some amiibos even made it to stores. I think they were all pre-orders online and there wasn't enough to send to stores.
I still have yet to see concrete proof Lucario Amiibos exist
Do you live near a Best Buy or Toys R Us? Go now if so because they should have them.
Falco is Best Buy exclusive.

I was just at a Best Buy and they had like forty.
On that note, I picked up a Splatoon 3-pack while I was there, do you guys think I should sell it and buy a green squid from eBay because I don't really care about the Inkling Boy or keep it and just sell the extra Inkling Girl?
I went to Best Buy to prove to you how bad my city was at being stocked.

I was thankfully wrong.
Just saying, Toys R Us seems to be stocked better since they're getting like all the exclusives now.
I still deeply regret when I first went to buy an amiibo.
I went to Target to get a Peach since she's my Smash main. I saw a villager and I was like "naw I bet he's not very popular, I'll get him later, Peach might run out"
FUCK
Don't worry. I did the same thing but with Yoshi.
"I want to get the Kirby series, but Dedede and MK are so hard to find. I could get Kirby now, but I've seen him everywhere so I'll just get him later."

Apparently some retailer thought Duck Hunt was apart of the Animal Crossing series
They aren't?!?!?

The guy hadn't been in a game in thirty or so years, I think it's a fair-ish mistake to make, especially if you don't give a fuck about video games.
I'm still mad that the only 2 amiibos I want from the Animal Crossing series are in 2 separate bundles. NoA needs to lay off the bundles. Retro 3-pack, Animal Crossing 3-pack. Mii Fighters 3-pack, Splatoon 3-pack.
I don't think anyone had to question what it was. It's not subtle in the slightest lol
Is it ukulele guy?
Went to Best Buy fully expecting to be disappointed because I missed the restocks... Was immediately greeted by Marth, Little Mac, Lucario, Greninja and Shulk, among others.
Bought Shulk and may get more if they're still there later. Man am I glad I was wrong.
Did anyone else underestimate how small the Yarn Yoshis were going to be?

I don't know it just looks kinda bigger in the promotional pictures. Oh well still a cute little thing.

Yeah my Shulk is like that too, it bothers me that they used such a bendy plastic for swords.
I was about to be a bit peeved since at first it looked like it was the only Shulk they had but there were more hiding out behind mario and zelda lol
I would've picked up Lucario instead of Shulk if the only Lucario they had didn't have a huge plastic chunk jutting out of the face. Never seen a molding defect that bad on an amiibo before.

Is there still a market for Amiibo defects? If not maybe you could have picked that one up for potential collectors value.
Also I just learned Pokemon Amiibos don't do anything in Wooly World. They also got shafted in Mario Maker, with every Amiibo except Greninja just using their HGSS walk sprites and none getting any kind of special effects. Anyone know what's the deal with this and why Nintendo just seems to not give a shit when it comes to their second biggest franchise?
something to do with gamefreak iirc

Pokemon as a franchise is only co-owned by Nintendo. Both they and PokemonCo have to agree on terms of use, and PokemonCo is fairly protective of their characters, so things like that happen a lot.
Technically, PokemonCo could at any time buy their half back and leave Nintendo. There's no reason for them to do so, and it would be a foolish move from a consumer confidence standpoint, but they could.
It is just simple coloration on a Yoshi. Why would they be super protective about that? Characters in smash are fine. But simple coloration is crossing the line?

Probably something to do with TCPi. The Mario Maker skins sans Greninja were reused assets from HGSS.
