Kinda surprised Sony isn't gonna be talking about NEO. Then again, we know Nintendo isn't talking about NX either, so that really only leaves Microsoft to show off any new hardware. ... I still just feel really depressed about the Nintendo conference. This is the first post-Iwata E3, too. [sp]And don't get your hopes up for Valve, you idiots. It's been five years since they were relevant, learn some damn pattern-recognition.[/sp]

I think those days are past them, and they seem more down-to-earth nowadays.

More up their ass trying to be as negative as possible when things in the industry are pretty ok at the moment.
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/iN4VvOU.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/hEijWte.jpg[/img_thumb] Halo Wars 2 Open Beta June 13th - 20
I remember getting annoyed at some Microsoft PR guy for saying that some games don't belong on some platforms in the context of "no Halo won't come out on PC". I mean, in hindsight he's right. [sp]RTSes don't belong on console[/sp] Seriously, why no PC open beta? If the game is good I'll give it a go on PC, but it'd be nice to try it out myself first rather than watch/read reviews and watch LPs. And yeah, that's what open betas are to these AAA companies: demos.

Been rewatching E3 presentations today, and that moment where 2013 Sony went on a binge of "We won't fuck up like Microsoft did" is still fun to me. I still suspect Microsoft to pull out the Scorpio and Slim during their presentation, then have Sony come out and go "We're gonna focus on the things that are actually important- the games." Who knows, though- maybe now Xbox is gonna delay that stuff for gamescom and have more games during their press conference. It's all fun!
Valve is going to milk Team Fortress 2, Dota 2 and Counter Strike for all they are worth and they are not going to make a Half Life 2: Episode 3 or a Half Life 3 period GET. Seriously, though, I'm really hoping for one last push of "We're not abandoning Wii U owners just yet." Yeah, I know only about 10 million people bought it and many of those are even satisfied with what they've gotten so far, but for the sake of the people who feel they wasted a purchase and that of the potential left in the system, I wish they didn't just move on from it.
"lol, we spent 5 years developing a new engine for nothing" - Valve
Of course, not even Valve is that stupid. They spent five years developing it for DotA.
Quick question: Why are they building a 10 story arcade cabinet plastered with doritos logos.
The question is never why, it's why not. [sp]It's a working arcade machine/music stage[/sp]
Quick question: Why are they building a 10 story arcade cabinet plastered with doritos logos.
Because E3.
I'm not expecting announcements from Nintendo of any kind.
That's really a shame. An entire one of the "big three" has just frozen up for the past year. About all we can expect is Zelda U details (and it's not even a selling point for the Wii U anymore considering they did indeed pull a Twilight Princess with it), Sun/Moon details, and maybe some other small announcements. Something tells me morale at the company has been abysmal ever since Iwata died. Time and time again, that's the conclusion I keep coming back to when I think about it. Even when you consider how mediocre their E3 2015 was, they still had that enthusiasm behind it. No one else shared it, but it was there from Nintendo themselves. But ever since Iwata died, they've been very quiet. We've had only four Nintendo Directs since last E3, and two of them focused on a single game. Compared to previous years, that's incredibly paltry. Even the rocky transition years from Wii to Wii U weren't this silent.

Zelda, Pokemon, Paper Mario, and then possibly pikmin and hopefully luigi's mansion 3 or a cool reveal.
Quick question: Why are they building a 10 story arcade cabinet plastered with doritos logos.
It's the Vatican, did you not read the post?
I just realized that the teaser site for the new Omega Force game is pointing to June 13th in JAPAN Time, not NYC time. That means the announcement is happening tomorrow night at 10pm EST, not during Sony's conference like I thought. For once in my life I'm a little excited to hear that I'm wrong.

Now that we're in the later years of the u's life, where those games would have come out, we've gotten jack all. I suspect that, when the NX marketing hits whole swing, things will pick up. I will agree, though, the passing of Iwata hurt the company in a few ways, and I hope that things pick up by September or whenever.
The entire wiiu generation was mess and the only saving grace for it was smash
Shit.. E3.. another E3... hope Ol' Glory still chambers, she's served me well.. so anyone excited for the new deus ex? I know I am.
The entire wiiu generation was mess and the only saving grace for it was smash
wii u had a really strong lineup in the middle of its lifespan. but the beginning and end of it.. well yeah. mario kart 8, pikmin 3, smash, splatoon, bayonetta 2, dk tropical freeze, and super mario maker all made the wii u completely worth it for me. you don't get games that strong all the time. and i didnt even list all of the games that are great on it

Supergirls model looks really fucking weird.
I like how you seemingly get items after every battle, wonder how the gear is actually going to define your character. Maybe certain sets get certain skills and it's not just this set is more damage, less hp, etc.
