Because these games don't have enough actual meat in them to make it worthwile.
But why are game developers releasing games that have barely any content?
Because people will buy into the hype anyways, and preorder them.

But Battlefield 1 looks legit good. My pre-order tastes are different from what makes you decide on wether to pre-order or not.

I will never Pre-Order a Ubisoft game, and will always be wary about pre-ordering a EA game. But if someone else wants to, then I don't see what's wrong with that. They've seen the gameplay footage, and I agree, this game would be worth the money, plus I heard that EA are a lot less shitty these days, so while I would still take it with a grain of salt, I wouldn't slam someone else and tell them not to pre-order at all because pre-orders are the root of all fucking evil. Not like you put it.

Also yes I have my own Pre-order tastes, I will tell Ubisoft to fuck off, but gleefully pre-order Dishonored 2 because I liked the first one alot and trust the developers and publisher for real. So what?

All I can do is applaud the gaming industry for making people see preorders as something beneficial to the buyer. We are being fucked so hard in the ass because of it.

If that's the case then the bongo tiles should have been better selected and arguably done right before the first conference not a week+ prior. There's nowhere near enough wild cards on it this year.
