We said that every time someone had a stupid idea in the gaming industry and they are still strong doing more stupid things each passing day. Remember when we thought Horse Armor would kill DLCs for good because no way gamers would accept this kind of bullshit anymore? Or how we thought gamers were smart enough to shun microtransations on their AAA games? Ah how naïve we were.
There are enough people supporting this situation out there for them to feel comfortable enough to release it.

This is the first time, we will see a console generation with a .5 attached to it, it will either end horribly or it will still be succesful and the winner will be the first one to release it. Which means Playstation STILL wins against Xbox as per usual for the past few years.
I'm expecting Microsoft's conference to be about that Halo 5 half pc port and Halo wars 2 and a bunch of filler involving old titles. Maybe they'll announce a Conker project that will disappoint and disgust everyone.
EA's gonna be star wars stuff and probably Battlefront 2 stuff. Battlefield 1 is gonna show up. Idk.
Bethesda's gonna be all Dishonored 2 with a little bit of Wolfenstein 2 (5? 6?) sprinkled in. Fallout DLC.
Ubisoft is gonna be white noise because everyone knows better than to listen to them by now
Sony is gonna be maybe old IP revivals that everyone wants, like crash ba--twisted metal. Or spyro the--syphon filter

Microsoft and sony is maybe gonna show off their updated consoles, and they're not gonna be that updated and they're not going to be worth the effort or money

With Microsoft's push for Xbox to become a brand rather than just the console, I suspect E3 this year to be about all the types of gaming you can do with Xbox rather than just the XB1. Gamescom will probably have more of the smaller things that have been rumored, though, like the TV only thing.
Well they are planing on a PC push so probably trying to get ahead of the competition by moving away from being just a console and becoming more a entertainment provider in general.

It would have been smarter to just have gone with entertainment provider that supports XBOX and PC with 1st party exclusives since the end of the 360.
Seriously. MCC could have easily been on PC too with the architectures being the same, and who doesn't like a big FPS on PC, especially one like halo.
They can make more money by just acknowledging the fact that most PC players aren't going to grab an xbox just to play microsoft exclusives, and they already own windows, so why not make xbox exclusives on Windows too?
They just now are realizing that fact, but are going about with a walled garden with UWP and the Windows 10 store.
I'll buy Windows 10 and the MCC collection day 1 if they put the MCC on PC. I'm sure there are many others like me too.

It will most likely be under UWP for the DRM part and the fact that the Master Chief Collection was developed by 343 Industries in partnership with other studios. Which usually means that a port to PC could end horribly too.
Also a nice reminder that Quantum Break was completely borked at release, until they finally fixed it completely. Of course, by doing said fixes it became one of the [B]highest demanding PC game titles ever.[/B] But, also since it's still on UWP it means its still running in the unefficient Windowed Borderless Mode.
Yeah, the UWP has a lot of issues. But it can be ironed out rather quickly. It seems that Windows has a interest in developing the W10 platform. If they have a interest in it, releasing more games for it will also be a must for them.
They've been doing lots of trials for their Xbox locked game series, maybe to check the interest for said game series on the W10 platform.
Microsoft is going to be at the PC gaming show, this year too. So we'll see, we will definitely see something. At least.

Everything is turning out to be a pretty fierce war between both Sony and Playstation at E3. Each will announce their future plans for their consoles. Microsoft will also try and continue the trend of good news for PC Gamers on W10 which is [B]their[/B] platform. (This will however mostly be reserved for the PC Gaming Show, in my opinion. Unless Microsoft wants to incorporate it into their own presentation. But, I doubt it unless they have some ground breaking news. Like MCC on W10 or other titles)
Both will market their Virtual Reality headsets, Playstation VR from Sony and Oculus Rift from Microsoft/Oculus.
It's going to be a who can one up eachother fight. Which might make this the most fun E3 in terms of "Console War" shenanigans.

Well apparently it's on the Windows 10 store, or was, but in a way that literally copypasted from the Xbox One description to not accommodate for the fact that the Halo 5 beta happened two years ago.

Nintendo isn't having a press conference/direct at E3 this year, besides the Zelda gameplay stream.
It would be a safe bet if they announce a date for an NX event stream date though.
For either ones: No new games announced during the pc conference.

E3 is the time where you anticipate the unlikely and becomes disappointed by the end of it.

Since TW3 DLC is finished they might put out another rendered trailer. Depends how fast they're working.
They did have a B team working on it conceptually at one point but the slack might have picked up.
Pretty sure Titanfall 2 was confirmed for being at E3
