I haven't really played league in a long time (2015 I think?). I wanted to at least try it a bit to see what the current state of the game is. What's the current meta for SR? Also, is there a facepunch club on NA?
Top lane is the most varied, you see basically everything up there. Mostly it falls onto either tanks or AD carry style champions though. Mid is assassin or mage, usually burst but there's still some control being played. Jungle is Kha/Rengar unless banned which they almost always are, then other strong divers and duelists - Lee, Vi, Hecarim, Elise. Bot lane is Varus/Jhin Lethality ADC and Malzahar/Zyra support. The main variances you see come from onetricks, bans stripping away picks, and low elo. [editline]3rd February 2017[/editline] Lucian is trash, Graves is a jungler now, the newest champion is broken tier and pick/ban status. [editline]3rd February 2017[/editline] It's actually funny, I saw WAY more play of Camille in the first two weeks when you'd expect everyone to ban her because they don't know how to play against her than after when everyone found out you basically don't play against her.
Felt the itch to play more Kindred so I decided to load up a ranked game (bronze 3 katarina main btw). Get jungle position and I mark Kindred as my want-to-play. I alt+tab after I ban (first ban) and a moment later I hear the sound that plays when someone picks or bans the champion you wanted. I quickly look at the bans and notice it wasn't their team, but ours that banned Kindred. Looking at the chat log, one guy was very sure Kindred was an awful champion. So much so that he had to point it out to me how bad she was, and then proceeded to ban the champion I wanted to play. Luckily someone else had dodged that game before it started (if they didn't, I would have). Jump into the next game, end up getting mid instead of jungle. No big deal, I get to whip out kitty cat katarina and have some fun. We go through our pick & ban phase, and on the enemy team's last ban, they ban Kindred. I just knew it was the same guy and his friend from the dodged game, and sure enough it was. My team won that game (pretty easily), but why do people do that? Like I can understand if Kindred isn't a top-tier pick in competitive play, but this is Bronze tier shit going on here. Is this Bronze tier shit going on?
So Warwick is probably one of the strongest junglers I have seen in the game. Very mobile and most skills are good for healing and tanking. Probably one of the least smite reliant champions I've seen so far. Yep this guy is definitely my choice for me to learn jungle. Also the music that plays during blood hunts passive makes me feel like I'm inside a Jaws movie :v I love it!
It's Bronze tier shit. Some people don't understand that even if a champion is "offmeta", some people might just be one-tricks of that particular champion and will stomp. Admittedly this is Bronze so it's less likely to be a stomp but still, people should play what they feel comfortable with.
I tried Kindred for the longest and is rare for me to go on a killing spree with her. I am probably not the best person to give in-depth tips for her since I'm still kinda trash in the game tbh but I think taking away her heal from one of her skills was a mistake. She already has a hard time farming do to how slow her attack speed is early game.

I always start red buff regardless of what side I'm on. I then move to wolves, blue buff, frog, then go back and clear raptors and the rock things. I also try to get my first kill and passive mark before my first back.
Well, usually I started with Blue, then wolves and frogs and last red, raptors and Krogues. I usually use krabs to get mark stacks early on instead of ganking marked champions. Runes usually I run Mark of attack speed for Quints, armor, attack and magic resist.
The single worst thing a player can do in this game is "coaching" whenever they're in the grey screen, holy fuck it tilts me. And all it just takes is a simple: "Hey, could you just try and not die" - and they flip out and scream like an ape how they don't wanna win anymore.

Problem is that Jayce and Darius punish any non-tanks so hard

He spent most of the game just shit talking me because I was roaming to support the team after we won bot lane and not sitting in his lane holding his hand and suiciding with him as he pushed to enemy T2 alone with 0 vision. You basically just have to ignore them. If they start up the shit talking ingame, mute them. They obviously aren't going to say anything useful, so there's no point in reading whatever they shit out onto their keyboard. In bronze especially, it doesn't really matter. Nobody knows how to play or exploit anything, so the meta down there is basically 'if the champion can ever kill someone, it will work.' The rework made him stronger, but mostly it just raised him back to the middle of the pack. He seems better top, but that could just be the streamers I watch. [editline]4th February 2017[/editline]
Also top doesn't have that much diversity If unbanned: Camille & Jayce If banned: Nautilus Mao Punishes any bad pick immediately: Darius Fiora There's some rising play of Singed but yeah What makes top lane seem like it has a ton of pick variety is that's where all the one tricks usually play. I see a lot of onetricks yeah, but there's also a lot of top players playing shit like Trynd, Warwick, Darius, and Yasuo. Occasionally I see Irelia, Illaoi, and J4.
Trynds and Yasuo players are 1 tricks usually I think Warwick is just people playing the new champ and experimenting I'm basing my opinion on top lane meta based what I've been seeing in tobias/dyrus stream. Nautilus not that much but everyone and their mother is playing Mao because he has a decent lane match up vs Jayce

Since kindred's state at the moment is a popular topic, I was thinking about that heal and how it could be applied in a way that isn't unhealthy, and what I came up with is making it a passive on their q. Basically they would get a stack for each target it hits, then at however many stacks (9 maybe) they would receive the heal. Since the cooldown on their q was already nerfed pretty hard early game, it would prevent them from having too healthy of a clear, and in 1v1 situations the heal wouldn't be so strong that kindred would win every time, like when she was released. That being said, I'm okay with kindred's state at the moment. Absolutely high risk high reward, a playstyle I'm a fan of. Also, to me, they have one of the strongest lvl 3 ganks of the junglers I play, almost always burn a flash in solo lanes. My only true problem with kindred is that the enemy team always has two people on marks if they can afford it while my team tends to stay in lane when I go for marks. Usually the only time I get help with marks is from supports and top laners, bust usually just supports. [editline]4th February 2017[/editline] Has anyone had any problems with the in client chat before? I've been unable to get it to work for the longest time and I can't queue with anyone because of it. The only solutions I've seen have to do with firewall exceptions but fixing that hasn't solved it.
tbh seeing other people play adc makes me want to play adc just so our team doesn't have a shitty adc but then another lane gets a shitter
That's pretty much me in every game online. But every time I use the Mark mechanic on Kindred I feel like I'm handicapping myself. Marking almost feels like I'm literally saying to the enemy: "Hey, just so you know I'm planning on ganking you". I played her as a ADC in a few games and she isn't all that bad.

You're basically announcing to the entire game who you're going to go kill, and yet people still play far up lane and never ward.
That's the funny part. In gold some people start realizing how to play around vision of the enemy jungler. "I see jungle on the opposite side of the map I can play aggro" or "I don't see jungle and we have no wards in their jungle I should play safer." Admittedly sometimes these same people don't understand the windows for playing aggro can be only like 10-15 seconds not 2 minutes, and 'safer' doesn't mean 'still past river just ready to flash,' but it's progress.

Azir also just sucks tbh He got picked in nalcs for Jensen and did pitifully little
i havent played in 8 months are assassins still op
Shaco took a significant nerf to he's AP build but besides that I don't think any other assassins were changed.
i havent played in 8 months are assassins still op
rengar and kha'zix are pick/ban kat got nerfed to a degree, just harder to play talon is poopy stealth changes so some champs have camouflage where you can see them if they're close enough, such as rengar, twitch or evelynn while some champs have just invis such as vayne ult, shaco, kha'zix
Feel like Forrest Gump right now. So I did my flex placements and I got to Bronze 4, again. So that means I get to one-trick Illaoi to climb up, again. And that means I get to lane against very stupid people who don't know to handle Illaoi, again.
One of my friends kinda just ragequitted LoL because he got gold in every game mode including 3v3. I can only imagine what is like being in the same fucking Elo every time you're done with placements.
Azir also just sucks tbh He got picked in nalcs for Jensen and did pitifully little
No Jensen played like utter shit and made stupid plays. That play he made mid where he shuffled and slammed the Ori into tower when she didn't even have tower aggro - I don't remember who they were playing - was pretty, but he was completely OOM and she had both summoners up. Jensen got fucked hard and lost all of his HP trying to get away. The only reason he even got a kill was because the Ori flashed under tower to secure the kill and died to the jungler for it. If she had instead backed off and took the free pressure Jensen would've been out of that game. Bjerg played Azir and did fine. Azir is fine at the highest skill levels and levels of play, he just blows in solo queue.
I have hit rock bottom. My inting Sion who ran down midlane legit only had 5 deaths more than our midlane who played 100% serious and at her max potential. Is this fucking real? How can an inter only have 5 more deaths than someone ACTUALLY playing serious? This is truly the worst of the worst. [editline]5th February 2017[/editline] Also keep in mind that our midlane went AFK at the given time he started inting, so she had all the deaths before he started running down her midlane. It's not like he screwed her over with her KDA.
i havent played in 8 months are assassins still op
Yeah all of them are op rn tbh even zed is good because lethality changes [editline]5th February 2017[/editline] Actually I forgot talon and akali existed. Not all

Its hard to rely on champion marks unless you can somehow either leave it on them long enough that they stop playing safe, or mark them, wait maybe 4 seconds then go in to gank and hope that they don't die too fast or your teamate has sufficient cc. But honestly I usually just play kindred like a normal jungler and ignore going for champion marks and bad marked camps and try to snowball my laners early game, and when I have items (bloodrazer/swifties/runaans) I'll be more agressive mark wise.
just managed to win a game because our yasuo main (literally called The Yasuo God https://euw.op.gg/summoner/userName=The+Yasuo+God) kept threatening to go afk because the caitlyn kept telling him to stop going 1v5 (which he did, he had 12 deaths) had to keep motivating the yasuo to stay and telling the caitlyn to shut the fuck up to avoid a loss
