It actually baffles me how there are people who just want to try out stupid builds and lose the game for the sake of " its different!!" when you know its a suboptimal build and you probly lost anyway, does it fill you with glee to do less damage and die faster than if you played the game properly and didnt waste everyone else's time. I know people like this in both LoL and Dota and im just trying to get an insiders opinion on why people feel the need to be different for the sake of being different. [editline]22nd February 2016[/editline] Like I aint talkin about mixing up your build and starting with Cull or some shit on adc and then building some AD items (still sucks most of the time) im talking "im gonna go riven ap XD so troll >_>" "rofl watch me go full tank ezreal"
Because experimenting is fun, it's cool to try and bend a character or role into something it's not usually supposed to do and make it work. If no one did this there would never be things like Graves jungle, vayne top or in dota when void offlane started being a thing etc. There's obviously a limit like you pointed out, but just playing the meta and building the same shit over and over is so fucking dull.

Tank akali is the best thing that happened to me ever since diced bread.

Just started playing properly after getting to level 4 and giving up a year ago. Master Yi seems to be all I'm good at until I get left to solo bottom against Garen and some random asshat archer. Just praying solo queue isn't this bad for long. Mainly, I'm just wondering how long I'll have to grind before I can start unlocking a decent amount of champions.
The grind never ends! [editline]23rd February 2016[/editline]
This sounds filthy and intriguing, tell me more
I'm sure the video is useful, so I'll just give some playstyle tips. Passively farm with Q unless it's an easy lane, no need to fight anyone. Best powerspike is roughly level 7 or 9, since you have stacks from your ult built up and your E is on a low CD. After that just Q harass, then go with your ult for an auto and E. Chase a bit with E, pop down a shroud or retreat to it if you're losing, otherwise just keep going. I found that I can consistently kill the top around 7-9 if they are squishy-ish, then just push the wave and B. As soon as they get back into lane I try to harass them and maybe go for a kill. You are a god mid game because the damage on E + tiamat is really good, and ult resets are a godsend. I'm not sure what you do lategame, just jump around and be a nuisance I guess. You can't really peel but your shroud is good for zoning. Here is my profile to see builds http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/20563458#matches
Is gangplank still the best
Winning a 4v5 is one of the best feelings in ranked, let me tell you what.
Is gangplank still the best
I'm pretty sure he's just "OK" now. He's not 100% pick/ban but he's still good in the right hands.
for what reason is kog'maw with rageblade fair
cull is op on second back
I would laugh but I see a lot of high ranked players do this what the fuck is up with that
It's an investment, you can get a nice little gold lead with it especially if you get first blood and go back to pick it up.
I was thinking on an hybrid kog. Manamune (muramana's active works wonders with kog's w, I actually tested this one) Rageblade, BotrK, and Hextech Blade for ultimate sustain. After that, some AS boots and some defensive item could work. Maybe some magical penetration. Someone care to test it? [editline]24th February 2016[/editline] or is it shit [editline]24th February 2016[/editline] it probably is

The oldest champs in the game but some of wich are still very viable today.

I'm kinda interested to see how this game plays against dota 2. Is it vastly different? Also that sounds a lot like tf2's hat madness.
Outside of both being MOBAs, I think they're vastly different. I don't get the whole League vs Dota thing because I feel like both plays much differently and the similarities ends after the word "Moba"
Because people are very superficial. Both have creeps and jungle monsters? Both have lanes? Both have heroes you play and are MOBAs? THATS ALL I NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THEM RIPOFFS!!1
Because people are very superficial. Both have creeps and jungle monsters? Both have lanes? Both have heroes you play and are MOBAs? THATS ALL I NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THEM RIPOFFS!!1
Just tell me there's some type of undying clone and i'm sold.
Just tell me there's some type of undying clone and i'm sold.
Closest I can think of is Yorick.
Just tell me there's some type of undying clone and i'm sold.
There's no intense micromanaging heroes like in Doter, and if I remember Undying's like a tanky guy with summons from his tombstone? The closest I can think of is Yorick, who's pretty bad right now and getting reworked this year. He's a toplaner and his playstyle boils down to "Mash your keys, use your ultimate on a carry, get irrelevant as the game goes on." He's a big lane bully that quickly, as I said, becomes irrelevant. All of his basic skills create ghouls that rapidly deteriorate in health and deal a percent of his total attack damage when they attack. Q creates a fast ghoul that deals increased damage after Yorick hits a unit that speeds him up as long as the ghoul's still alive, W creates a stinky ghoul deals damage in an area when created and slows enemies around it, E is a targeted ability that spawns a ghoul that heals Yorick for the damage it deals and heals him for a good amount when he first creates it. His ultimate creates a copy of a targeted ally champion that he can control VERY basically, basically just autoattacking whatever he wants it to and that's it. If the targeted ally champion dies while the revenant is still alive, that champion is revived for 10 seconds and can use all of their abilities like they were alive, but can be killed again. If you want a zombie champion, look at Sion, who's a big tanky man with a knock-up, shield with a passive that makes him gain health for every unit he kills, a skillshot that knocks back minions and monsters and slows enemies hit by the shot or the flying minion/monster, and an ultimate that makes him charge a long distance and knock up enemy champions in an area if he collides with them. And his passive revives him with full heath when he dies, replaces all of his abilities with a short one-time speed boost, and causes him to deal 10% of his enemies' max health with his autoattacks and gives him 100% lifesteal and a set attackspeed and rapidly drains his health. Don't know how similar to Undying he is though.
He sounds more like lich king, and undying is essentially a zombie that absorbs strength and stacks it when he hits more people.
The closest I can think of for a champ that steals stats is Trundle, who can steal Attack Damage with his Q and a target enemy champion's resistances with his ultimate. Plus he can make an impassable pillar that slows in an area around it and he has this boring stat bonus stuff zone he can make too. His passive also causes him to heal for a percent of an enemy unit's max health whenever one dies around him.
He sounds more like lich king, and undying is essentially a zombie that absorbs strength and stacks it when he hits more people.
Sion is a tanky dude that gains health from killing minions and champs (STR isn't a thing in LoL but there's an item that lets you deal damage based on your health) Illaoi is a tank with low mobility but lots of AoE that can heal based on missing health Gnar doesn't heal or gain hp, but transforms into a massive CC monster if in combat for long enough Mundo is a tank themed around health costs and regeneration, he has tons of sustained damage with nothing but tank items Though the closest thing I can think of is Nasus; He has innate lifesteal, an on-next-attack skill that stacks damage indefinitely if you kill things with it, and transforms to gain HP and AoE damage with his ult [editline]25th February 2016[/editline] still quite a stretch though
