Volibear is on the list as well, but this is from a Garen game. I was Xin top vs. Garen, I dive him level 3 and firstblood. Then I kill him 3 more times and I die to 1 gank and plus I died during my dive. But, even though I had trinity and the bow component from guinsoos (forgot name in the rage of my typing) and he seriously only had cinder and chainwest, suddenly I can't kill him and he oneshots me. LOVELY.
Armor Pen?
Armor Pen?
Yes I could have gotten Ghostblade, Cleaver or even Last Whisper but my point is just that 2 incomplete items makes him unkillable against my almost 2 finished items. And he still gets to 100-0 me.
we're you the villian
no, my midlaner was the villain [editline]25th June 2016[/editline] at least it wasn't ranked so all good, but it's still something that tilts my face off this earth
i mean he probably hit level 4 spin and maybe you didnt fight him with creeps in the AoE too i play like nothing but garen and i dont think xin is a hard matchup at all
well im not saying xin is supposed to counter or be hard, but with the insane lead I had on him it seems completely retarded that he beats me with 2 components against my 2 items. and no, he even stood right outside my tower when he did it. tanked maybe 2 caster minions from him but they surely didn't do the difference.
and no, he even stood right outside my tower when he did it. tanked maybe 2 caster minions from him but they surely didn't do the difference.
no i mean that spin does a ton more damage if its only hitting a single target
Talking about volibear? Frankly Ive been going carry builds focused less on straight damage and more on survival and on hit effects. I have been buying mortal reminder pretty much as my third item and if they're really gunning for me I will sometimes try to slip in a frozen mallet, black cleaver or frozen gauntlet depending on the champion to find some way to keep them off of me. I used to go guardian angel but I found that if you're caught anyways for it to be used generally you won't be getting out anyways, though I find it to be useful sometimes.
Volibear is one of those champs I just consistently lose against. He feels so unbelievably unfair. Insane health regen, movement speed and the damage he can do while still being tanky is ridiculous. Even if you have 3-4 people on him, you need to be constantly CC'ing him or he'll just run away.
What fucks me over is how little kill pressure I have on him. It doesn't matter if I get 2 early game kills on him, the instant he comes back with a single defense item and his passive on a 2 minutes cooldown (What the fuck lol), your kill pressure simply doesn't exist short of 3 man ganking him or something. Thankfully, I feel like his late game isn't extremely impactful given he's not super fed.
i think that respecting the match up is insanely important when laning its the point of how even if you're ahead, your arrogance can still lead to you getting killed because you thinking that you're so ahead means they cant kill you, but that can be wrong in many occasions if you start thinking that you cant die to the enemy, you're tempting fate and not respecting the match up no matter what example, darius. usually always gonna win in a 1v1 post-6 because of his skill set, as long as you respect the fact that he can dole out damage and heal some back, you will manage to lane against him by realizing that if you try and go for him it's gonna hurt. in the game of counters, i've always seen that tanks counter low-mobility squishies since they can't kite around it, but mobility will counter tankiness as long as you can avoid the reach voli is a pretty good example of how that's done, if you think that being 2 kills ahead of him means you'll beat his ass anytime, you're dead wrong and deserve to die. voli is insanely strong at any given time, and you need to realize his weakness of baiting out his Q so he can't catch up to you. a good voli will know you're baiting so you'll just need to bait harder. i've played a fair amount of volibear and playing defensively is the way to go if you're not getting any kill pressure. if you try to go for him, he's gonna just all-in you with everything he has, and that's not respecting the match up at all, you're purposely giving him the chance to fuck your shit up. use any advantage you get and transfer that to other lanes, go gank mid or go fuck up their jungler, but staying toplane and farming won't help. sure, tanks having high natural damage early game feels bullshit, but if they didn't do damage, there'd be no real point in playing them if they can't kill an enemy. they aren't meant to just be bullet sponges, but disruptors that can destroy you if you get too close, i think that's what people are forgetting about tanks in general. tanks and fighters both are hardy in fights and can survive, but tanks edge out defensiveness over offensiveness. voli is pretty strong atm and has been, esp the new triforce change giving him CDR, i think that works out better since voli never built crit anyway, just tank items + triforce.
The thing isn't people not knowing how to play against him, you even directly said yourself "he is strong at all times", which makes no sense for a strategy game. If he becomes strong it should be from smart plays and item management, not because "he is strong its just the way he is". The way he is currently is dumb as hell.

Your argument is that because I don't want him strong for the sake of being strong implies I want him to be weak? Obviously not as I enjoy playing him, but he is too damn versatile right now. You say you can kite him, but what about in team fight situations? You'll be so focused on kiting him youll get zoned out of the fight and lose it anyways or everyone will have to focus him for peel leaving their carries untouched. You can't ignore him because of his damage, and he is extremely hard to kill not even considering if they have any other tanks on their team. High mobility means jack shit if you can't kill them anyways. edit - it is not that he is completely unbeatable, it is just that even if you do wind up beating him you just have a headache afterwards because it isnt even fun, its a big pain in the ass. I dont know about you but "hard to kill, high health, damage scaling on health, regenerative powers, high speed ability that flings people and a slowing aoe with chain lightning strikes that can reach people at the back of the team" doesn't sound like the funnest thing to play against and doesnt sound like kiting is really even a weakness since he has 3 abilities focused around handling that very issue.
I think I just tilted an average toplane Jax while playing as Jax as well, albeit as a jungler. The enemy Jax was rather fed so ganking him was a pain in the ass, especially since our Mundo usually had one foot in his grave by the time I made it to the lane, though I managed to kill him most of the time. He started to get increasingly agitated in the /all chat. Eventually it got to the point where he was waiting for me in a bush near the blue buff which I planned on grabbing. There he jumps out flying like a helicopter at me and removing a large chunk of my health. I knew better than to engage a champion like Jax in 1v1, let alone a fed one, so I just plopped down a ward with my Poacher's Knife and jumped to it. Ezreal was conveniently near killing the wolves for... whatever reason. He noticed the other Jax and managed to chunk his health low enough for me to jump back at him and kill him. This made him even more upset. He yelled at me for not fighting him 1v1 and would constantly challenge me to do so. He continued to "ambush" me and I either jumped away or killed him with the help of allies. Unfair and cowardly, maybe, but come on, dueling an equal or better Jax is a fucking terrible idea. They teach you that in League kindergarten. Later in the game, he still was a threat to lone players, but he had pretty much zero presence in teamfights. You could say the same about me if it weren't for my unorthodox "tank" Jax build, which made it easier for me to survive teamfights, though I still did the least damage out of my team (Even less than our "support", though he was a regular ADC Varus because he really didn't want to play any of the support champions.) I could've done more, but my build still made me very "meaty" so I was still reluctant to fight without any allies on my side. But after some hardships, we managed to make a small comeback and win the game. By then the other Jax was still furious at my refusal to fight him fairly. My KDA ratio in that game was pretty bad and so was my build, but oh well, we won and the other Jax got mad so I'm satisfied.
tilting people is the best especially as a jungler, since if they start calling you a camper, you know they're tilting
Whelp, guess I gotta go unlock Fiora and learn how to play her now. And have awkward boners.

Really digging it, but why are people disliking the new ultimate? I think it's way better now, especially in comp.
Love the new ult, can't wait to see it in games where players know how to stack waves Imagine him in one for all
I fucking love his animations so much. Especially in that teamfight video where it shows him sprinting.
Feels like they're getting a bit less inspired with ultis, same thing happened with Taric. Just take a previously existing ability, ie, Tahm Kench's ulti and make it AOE. Not complaining about that though, I think it'll make Ryze a more comprehensively team-oriented champion instead of being the spell shitting nerd that he was before. At least now he can send the team off ahead before shitting spells out.
It feels like it's been a very long time since there was a champion whos ult did damage. Why can't we just have someone who does a cool explosion or something for some good damage? It's like every character has to be a team fight support now. Aurelions does so little I would really only see it as a push/slow now. So that leaves Jhin and illaoi (which again doesn't really do damage just makes her a better teamfighter) I mean so many new champs with boring supporty ults, Taric, Taliyah, Rek sai, Bard, Tahm Kench, Kindred; now Ryze. Hell, even Kalista can't proc her own ult damage; she needs the approval of someone else!
Illaoi (which again doesn't really do damage just makes her a better teamfighter)
It makes her a better teamfighter by doing a shit ton of damage. Have you played against her? A single tentacle slam hurts, and having 5 of them slam onto you will absolutely destroy you.

It's used to amp the damage of her passive and W

Imagine the kiting. It will be glorious. Makes me think though, what will happen when 2 Ryzes ult at the exact same time? Will they be split on a molecular level? Guys I'm about to lose my mind here, I can't get an S rating with Nami and I'm trying my absolute best. I participate in all team fights, and my builds are usually AP focused with maybe Zeke's or Legion for a general team benefit, and average amongst the highest damaging towards enemy champions, and yet I struggle to even maintain an A+
Ratings for supports are fucked right now, you get a higher rating with less teamplay. Stealing kills from carries, etc.. Just focus on playing and trying to improve, eventually you'll end up with enough S ranks to get your badge.
Meanwhile I got 16/1 with Diana and 10/1 with Varus and the highest I got from both of those was A+
