they have this wonderful thing called ranked where you can now pick the role you want to play and wait the extra time if its a popular role
The more populated regions - IE, not Oceanic - have normal draft. Same setup as ranked except normals.
then what's the problem? isn't the current draft system essentially what team builder was?
they have this wonderful thing called ranked where you can now pick the role you want to play and wait the extra time if its a popular role
Problem is that it's ranked and being in Bronze 5 isn't really fun when everyone doesn't want to play at all in it. Team builder was great because it wasn't ranked.

who wants to play normals, euw? add me same name as here
whats the deal with illaoi? from what ive seen she gets to win lane against almost everyone for free, but falls off late game. playing against her is enough to make me rage quit.
From what I can tell in my elo (Silver 5), people vastly underestimate her healing capabilities. A low-health Illaoi can still absolutely turn the tables on you and smash you over the head with it if you don't CC her properly. As for why she falls off in late-game, I think it's because she doesn't offer anything besides damage. She's got no escape, no really hard CC, no mobility and her ult demands the enemies be grouped up together, which you shouldn't be doing anyway if you have brains.
whats the deal with illaoi? from what ive seen she gets to win lane against almost everyone for free, but falls off late game. playing against her is enough to make me rage quit.
She's a lane dominator with very hard counters (mobility) but a lot of good match ups In teamfight she gets kited too hard but can 2v1 and sometimes 3v1 across the map for free at all times so she will usually never group so just expect good illaois to split all game and take inhibs in a few seconds Illaois doesn't work in lower elos well because no one uses the space she makes well
So Riot Games is now killing all their memes. Riot Games announced Replays. Today, they decided to kill another meme with the great announcement that Sandbox mode is in the works! Sandbox mode announcement! It took a while, but it finally happened. Riot only got to release Magma Chamber now.
Now they should ditch the plant system entirely and fix the damage display after you die

Decent laning if you aren't trash, transitions into a significantly better teamfighter.
I just got Kled from hextech crafting, holy crap he is pretty fun to play.
Did anyone here play in Season 3, when they used the ELO system? Need to know if people perceived there being a "hidden mmr" or if it was described as an accurate measure of ones rank.
I mean, back then there was no LoL Nexus or anything. You either queued up for normals, didn't care about anybody else's ranks and played to get better, or you played ranked, didn't care about anybody else's ranks and played to win. I never really gave any hidden MMR much thought, and I don't remember Riot ever mentioning it at the time. I suspect there was though; normal and ranked MMR have probably always been largely independent.
Nidalee does nothing but give me (Cait) shit for not using my ult. I point out that they're never low enough and he says 'for scaring, noob'. Not even mentioning how we're up against Sivir so it'll likely be rendered moot anyways. Say what you will about bronze players, at least they know they're in bronze. Silver will just have people call you a bronze noob ad nauseum at the slightest error or disagreement.

I played a game today with a friend and forgot to pick Smite as Udyr jungle. Shit could have gone bad, but instead I just went top to lane along with my friend against a Poppy. Illaoi and Udyr work incredibly well together and the poor enemy player got their shit kicked in because neither them nor their jungler knew how to deal with a surprise top duolane. The best part was that all the way to the end of the game, Poppy was calling us Bronze-tier boosted sub-level 30 noob mouthbreathers for going two top and somehow winning the lane, even though it was just the result of an honest mistake. I've never quite seen a player tilt so hard and so fast as this poor, poor Poppy.

They were 4 all together so I made up the missing 5th and was supposed to jungle, but I had absolutely no idea how to jungle or even what I was doing otherwise so we just went double bruiser top. We shit on top lane for like 3 games in a row, it was pretty great. Huge confidence boost for me, I was able to start queueing into ARAM solo because of it. I still have fond memories of that group, even though we only played like 3-4 times total.
then what's the problem? isn't the current draft system essentially what team builder was?
blind pick is shit draft pick is good for when you want to be thorough, think about your comp, etc teambuilder was a good bridge because it meant you could either pick the champ you want and just keep pressing next, without the rush and hassle of blind pick, OR be even more thorough with your comp by being the team leader
Played a Cait/Lux lane today against a Jhin/Sona. Man, it's filthy.
Sona should be able to keep up on poke similar to Lux, assuming they dodge Lux Q. Surprised you won that, but good job.
To be honest, the hurt you can dish out as said combo makes me feel like I'm Doctor Evil. Lux roots Jhin, I pop a cupcake, get a headshot, Lux throws her slow, I throw my E on him to get another headshot, followed by whatever AA's I can fit in and my Q. Got even more ridiculous post 6. Root, cupcake, Lux ult, Lux slow, E with headshot, most likely dead at this point.
Lux support is really awful that's personally why I'm suprised Also don't forget ur q at the same time as your e it does full damage to head shot targets always
lux support is basically brand or annie support otherwise known as the professional kill stealer/ADC replacer its like the people who are not satisfied with being support so they try to be a midlaner in bottom lane
Except Annie brings huge teamfight and initiation presence and Brand has insane bases and is fine with just 1-2 damage items - Rylai's and maybe Liandry's if you can afford it. Brand and Annie can both afford to go Locket/Ruby Sightstone. Lux needs money because her bases are okay but her scalings are good. Her Q is hard to hit reliably, her slow is just a slow, and her shield is mediocre without shit loads of AP. She has to buy AP or her effectiveness falls off dramatically. [editline]17th October 2016[/editline] Annie support hasn't been that much of a thing for a while though, after the nerf to her auto range and I think some of her bases. She's too short ranged nowadays.
lux support is basically brand or annie support
No because Annie and Brand can be semi tanky and still 1 shot people. Lux can't. On top of that, support Annie hasn't been a thing for quite a while really. Dead as Kennen support. [editline]18th October 2016[/editline] tfw you don't refresh the page and somebody already replied
never said which was better than the other, only that they aren't "real" supports
... They ARE real supports. What the fuck do you think a ""real"" support is? [editline]18th October 2016[/editline] I mean are you saying any champion that can be played in a different role isn't a "real" support? Because if so there's a shit load of real actual supports that aren't "real" like Nautilus, Vel'Koz, Morgana, Karma, Lulu, etc..
On top of that, support Annie hasn't been a thing for quite a while really, dead as Kennen support.
That was a thing?
