I fucking hate Amumu, you can for sure climb with that guy it takes no brain at all.
I'm pretty sure you can jungle Amumu to Plat or even in some cases to Diamond, but it gets tricky.
People flame junglers because it's easily the most important role in the early game and probably tied with support in the mid game and it's easy to fuck up by being a do nothing potato who spends most of his time farming.
Not that I'm saying you're being a bad jungler, but I often see junglers who not only do not countergank or take any real consideration of their opposing jungler's movements and spend all of their early game time in jungle camps.
League of Legends? Easiest game I've played.

Few things make a victory feel as good as having the enemy team call you a tryhard in ranked.

Guess it's not that easy to cheat after all
I had played a pretty cancerous round, I was supporting my friend in ranked, I was being chain stunned and pretty much ulted all the time, I mean it was fine by me after all I'm playing Braum, my death for all their abilities going on cooldown and them being dicked on by the rest of my team.
So to break it down, I was being ulted by Poppy all the time, then I'd get back to assist my team, I'd be snared by Morgana, then chain snared by Caitlyn traps then back into Rek'Sai knockup and Vel'koz knockup, I was perma stationary in fights.
Right now it makes me wish we could have middle of the road boots, a crossover between mercs and tabis, balanced right in between.
ive climbed gold 5 to gold 3 playing almost nothing but yi and firecat climbed from silver to plat playing only yi on a smurf so that works if u want
You can climb with anything there's no magical champion to give elo (despite some being strong as fuck etc).
Pretty sure Singed420 said on Stream once he was placed Bronze 5, now he's Diamond as a Singed OTP.
When I started playing league I got placed Bronze 1 and then I dropped to Bronze 5, but since I never played ranked I didn't know what to expect despite me playing the game before on many occasions with friends who were higher ranked.
I've climbed to Silver 1 effortlessly in ranked despite having to play lots of games mainly in support, I simply find the meta changes during the season pretty underwhelming, this season especially, sudden power creep in the game, the boring tank meta that made me quit for entire season because every single game it was tanks moshing each other and never dying while dealing shitload of damage.
I've literally climbed through Bronze and to Silver 1 playing nothing but Poppy support and rushing Chainmail first item, then wall slamming the ad carry, 2v3ing and 2v4ing the lane, before her shit was nerfed. Incredibly stupid champion.

When I play support and use my Relic shield, it often annoys me when players on my team don't let me last hit the minions when I have orbs, thus I keep getting starved out of gold, every game that I was able to carry from support is when I had the gold advantage, it's especially bad mid game once you upgrade to Targon, you get 4 orbs and they recharge faster, thus you heal your team more often and you get more gold too, the gold is shared between you and your team anyway when you last hit it. But at the same time if I go with coin start instead I feel like I'm trading away lane sustain.
Yeah good fucking luck getting Targon's stacks after laning. Most of the time it's more important to clear as fast as possible anyway. Just fight for them however you can safely. You're always going to be at a gold deficit as a support, just learn to deal with it and buy efficiently.

Yeah it is, but playing something like Braum or Alistar in this meta where you lane against AP Mage "supports" you need to rush that Locket, then rush another item that will let you tank in team fights and apply CC as much as possible. AP supports get all the free gold from poking you in lane, not only it makes you lose the pressure in lane and eat up every ability but they also deal so much damage, rushing early sustain to get all ins in the lane is pretty important, in fact I think all melee supports are fucked right now, you can only scale into mid/late game and hope for teamfights where you can peel for your carries.
1. You don't rush locket for lane, you rush it for their primary magic damage source. If all they have for AP is a support Karma you probably don't even need it. Besides, it's the most efficient and honestly broken item in the game. Don't complain about "having" to buy something that strong.
2. Stop eating poke. Stop trying to force pressure to eat poke. Stop trying to force yourself in for an execute, just CS with abilities if you have to. If you're playing a melee support you inherently have a smaller zone of control than a ranged support, you make up for it by having a significantly stronger control of that zone. If you're having this much trouble against ranged supports as Braum and Alistar you just flat out have no idea how to play against them and need stop trying to win and start trying to learn.
3. I almost never rush the relic upgrade. It's fine sometimes, but if you're melee you probably have huge roam pressure and want to get a sightstone and boots as soon as possible. Buy more pots, eat less poke.
4. Melee supports are far from fucked, they're still very strong. Braum, Nautilus, Alistar, Trundle, Blitzcrank all punish positional errors significantly harder than Karma, Zyra, Nami, Sona, Brand. If you don't know how to play around that fact, that's not the champion. That's you.
You seem to have a very elitist attitude about the support role that you seriously need to lose if you expect to learn anything. I used to have a similar attitude, but I started focusing on exploiting a champions' weaknesses instead of treating them like some mid laner who didn't get their role and I learned a lot more a lot faster.
I agree with you on certain point but me being elitist about my role or at all, that's nonsense.
I'm getting so annoyed with dealing with trolls on a daily basis when I'm playing, there isn't a single game where I'm sitting and trying not to go insane while also trying to help everyone on my team play better.
I've lost the game right now where some idiot on my team claimed to be a Diamond 5 smurf then he belittled everyone entire game and flamed for every small mistake, then a player on my team left after 30 mins and never returned, the game was perfectly winnable too, these players are elitist pricks who troll low elo games.
Lost another game, thanks to trolling instalock jungle Lee Sin who wasn't our jungler. Plus scripter Jinx on enemy team that never misses any skillshots and manages to dodge every single ability thrown at her, she literally sniped our jungler with her ult and stole his buffs in our jungle where she had no vision, she also sniped that trolling Lee Sin player at our spawn.
This is the main reason I don't climb, not that I'm a bad player, everyone makes mistakes. The game is simply asking too much, I'm down to 9lp for stupid shit like this, because of people inting.
You know what, I'm done, done playing ranked for this season, at least I'll be Silver 1, it's my actual first time playing in a season, I don't count the last season because I only played for 2 months and barely put any thought into it. I'm simply done because there isn't a single game where it's beyond my nerves, I can't stand wasting my time like this when players are in the game to mess with you and intentionally lose the game without even trying, it's toxic. I'm always positive when I go into ranked games, I try not to tilt and I'm a team player, but this is just too much.

Okay, I decided to switch to jungle/top perma, cause fuck support. more than half the time I watch my own team trip over their own legs and I'm there like a band aid.
Played a jungle Nunu game, I invaded on level 1 with my team and got my Vayne ADC a double kill, I started on enemy blue, done my buffs, then I farmed Lee Sin's jungle entire game and ganked bot whenever I felt like. Pretty much screwing over a lane wins you the game. Vayne was so fed she carried the game.
Gotta stop making excuses if you want to climb.
Intentional feeders and trolls are bad, but they're by far the exception not the rule.

Dude how is exception having 3-4 games in a row with this shit? I should be able to play tops two games daily without having to worry about shit like this.
I can only spend enough time to play maybe 5 games tops, how am I supposed to climb when each time at least 2 games are basically trolls, then I get maybe 3 games where I might climb. Guess what, I've won every single game where I had no trolls in it, I even wrote about a perfectly winnable game earlier if it wasn't for a fact that someone left the game at 30 mins and it cost us.

I'm insisting that I'm losing because of trolls because it's true, I duo'd with friends who are better than me at the game and they personally saw it and admitted it, they experienced it along with me.
I also have friends who don't CS as good or build items as they should or do things that are seemingly basic, yet they are in fucking plat.
if you don't even know why your builds are trash you can't say you're only losing because of trolls
