Keeping this cycle going. Gave both out.
thanks
I'd love a key too, if anyone's willing.
I'd like a key too please.
PM me for my two keys. One left.
Pretty good game so far. Some complaints about how very similar a lot of the gods play though. The text on things is a tad small as well. Beta is beta though.
-Gone-
I still have one key left, first one to PM me gets it Edit: all sold out
To the people who already own the game, how often are updates?
HiRez are pretty slow on their updates. Might be a bit faster for this since it's in Beta and a new game, but Global Agenda was a month or even 2 months between patches.
eager to try a third person moba as opposed to isometric. not sure if it'll be better, but it's interesting
I'd like a key, please. Of course I'll give out mine to others. Oh excuse me, Turbis. How about some pageking content? Here, have a Hades picture.
It's odd how TB's video made little to no mention of SMNC despite the similarities... Also anyone who is craving a third person MOBA like game and cannot get into the smite beta. SMNC might tide you over till then.
If you guys need a key you might be able to get one from here: http://www.fileplay.net/keys I just created an account on that site and got a key right away.
there needs to be some sort of system where you can see all the items and study them before being thrown into the game without knowing how the items work. the game itself is p. easy though, stomped my first 2 games.
there needs to be some sort of system where you can see all the items and study them before being thrown into the game without knowing how the items work. the game itself is p. easy though, stomped my first 2 games.
Easy or not, that's because of people who are playing the game. Most of them tend to somehow suck so much... First, this is third person moba, people are not used to. They even couldn't get used to easy isometric view with minimap, cried all the time because they couldn't keep up with checking the minimap once per 10 seconds and getting ganked. Now, here, you can't see what's behind you all the time or on your sides, minimap view is lower (your character's view range is smaller than let's say in LoL), thus people can be sneaking on you and easily take you down without you knowing it. Also, because it's thirdperson, you see everything in your front, there is no popping in from the range, you can see enemy gods from like 10x longer distance than what you can see on the minimap, as long as you keep them in your field of view. Another thing that keeps people pretty awful is... you need to actually aim. In, dota, lol and hon, you just had to click once for ad carry to kill someone, here you need to aim and maneuver and avoid obstacles on your line of fire, as you won't hit enemy then. That's a big PLUS for me, as I love that. In my opinion, smite requires more skill from the player than dota, hon and lol. Just because it requires you to aim and pay more attention to your surrondings as minimap is helpful, but not that much.
i still consider dota to be much more complex and have a higher skill cap than smite does simply because it's simplified. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] like if you took away the tps view and made it isometric, you'd just have another rise of the immortals.
To the people who already own the game, how often are updates?
Lately, the updates been weekly. (Since the beta launched, 30. May)
i still consider dota to be much more complex and have a higher skill cap than smite does simply because it's simplified. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] like if you took away the tps view and made it isometric, you'd just have another rise of the immortals.
Well, the complexity you are talking about comes most of the time from: -Shop's interface. -Combining items to create more powerful -Items with skills to activate once per some amount of seconds. And that's it. It's just interface that's harder and complex. I don't mind lack of complexity in interace, I prefer to play the game not the shopping simulator.
have you watched or played high level dota??? i feel like you haven't.
have you watched or played high level dota??? i feel like you haven't.
Man, it's just Mouse APM Simulator, nothing more. Sorry for saying that but, if you are "Asian", you get +50 to the skill in MOBA and RTS games, as a racial skill. And ofcourse, I watched high lvl plays, I saw nothing special about them beside team coordination and fast shopping, that's all. What should I see by watching them...? Rainbows and flowers?
you should see that it takes more skill than what you're implying. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] also what does fast shopping have anything to do with a game having a less or more skill lmao
you should see that it takes more skill than what you're implying. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] also what does fast shopping have anything to do with a game having a less or more skill lmao
I said the differences I noticed from casual play and "high end skill wtfomg stream tournament", that's the only ones I noticed: -Higher coordination in team -Faster shopping times (people took less time in the town). No other differences I noticed between casuals and high end. Thus, me playing Dota, Hon and mostly LoL, I say, for me, this one requires more skill from a player than those mentioned above. As I said also, it's my opinion.
that's pretty hilarious because dota requires both immense team skill and individual skill, and if you don't notice that then i'm laughing. just saiyan, but smite definitely does not have a higher skill cap than dota hahaha [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] then there's also the drafting process in high level play. you have bans and picks that are made that can win or lose the game. [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] then there's also the process of last hitting and denying as well as item usage.

Just played a few games. Honestly, its alright. Nothing more, nothing less. All the items are too similar. One item has the base stats of (mana regen and magic power) another will have (max mana and magic power). It just seems to completly lack the depth of DotA. Even though everything is a "skill-shot", the game itself has a really low skill cap. All the skills are very trivial to aim, and each skill has a cooldown of like 7 seconds. None of the skills are very interesting. The only notable skill is yamir's icewall which is pretty cool. Its also going for that LoL approach were all the skills are instant satisfaction with little mana cost and little cooldown. Unlocking heroes is a joke. Its a stupid as fuck trend thats been going around with games now. HoN, LoL etc. Thank god the DotA2 team doesn't have their head up their ass like these shitty companies trying to make a quick buck in the MOBA market.

Just got myself a key, downloading at this moment. This is going to be a wonderful wednesday, I can tell!
Saving up for Odin next, looks manly as fuck. Playing Sobek and not really having a fun time with him because shitty damage
I played 1 game with a friend and lost because 3 of my team disconnected after feeding hard. It was awful. And the bot in solo practice is just dumb as hell, but I guess that was so you could try champions or something. Either way, I might play some more, but from what I've heard, there are a lot of stupid players in this game so games usually go super good, or amazingly bad.
Not really stupid players but the game is just so easy Just play Ymir build health and then you win cause nobody can do shit to you [editline]27th June 2012[/editline] Not really noticed stupid players in my games, people are actually good and willing to talk
So which gods are unlocked at the start?
