Radio discipline is honestly as simple as "does the entire squad need to hear it? no? don't use the radio then", at least at a squad level. Unless you're directly being asked by the SL something that needs answered the only times the general squad member should be using the radio for is for something that needs to come to the attention of the Squad Leader and/or the entire squad immediately, i.e. if an enemy is spotted or a particular member of the squad is down - and preferably not when you're within local distance, though I've found that it's safer to use the radio even then simply because the radio does not adhere to positional audio (so everyone in the squad can hear it at the same level). I don't really see many issues with radios in my squads, then again that's probably because I tend to be in squads with the same people and we tend to be close enough to allow local between at least half of the squad to work at any one time. Also we tend to actually have the above noted discipline. Getting people to get used to this would be a good idea and it shouldn't directly impact any fun at all, unless you find it fun to waffle on in squad radio for some reason.
Taggart as my medical man again when.
I think it all comes down to employing a 3 step radio network where squads are on the 343, platoon is on the 148 and commander is on the 117 and command does not interfere with the platoon officers role. And then we figure out how to do proper training and host it regularly.
are there any plans for comfies this week i need my fix
are there any plans for comfies this week i need my fix
I guess I could do some preliminary defense op flexing for Sunday. See how well does it all function in practice.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/8zi2y82.jpg[/t] https://fparma.herokuapp.com/events/event/co-mat-with-mallow This is going to be a training event familiarising you with the role of MAT and HAT teams on the battlefield, commonly encountered MAT and HAT weapons, their guidance systems, their capabilities, and we will also get a lot of time to practise with aforementioned weapons. It will contain 20 minutes of lecture, and then about an hour or so of firing the weapon systems and working on MAT team tactics. A cameraman slot has been included to record the session to act as further reference and also education.
I will see if I can join. House sitting so I will only have my laptop with me but I will see if I can get ARMA to run well with it. I think I know exactly how you want the video, which leads me to ask. The cameraman will also be demonstrating the training too yes?
The cameraman will also be demonstrating the training too yes?
He'll just be recording the session.
Camera man should also take some shots so people watching the video can see where to aim at. Not that it is difficult, but just for completion.
Won't take the camera man slot, but I'll be recording from a trainee perspective.

Hey guys, me and Whitefox are hosting infantry training on saturday at 19:00 GMT. Event will be put up in a couple of hours and posted here as a reminder. The event page will only exist to gauge interest, so if you can't get a slot, don't worry about it and feel free to drop in when we start because I intend for it to scale with any number of players. The plan is to go over some basics on the individual level first, and then finish with some squad level exercises. I want to keep this fun first and foremost so I will try and keep the dry stuff short. If you can't make it for whatever reason, that's fine, this will be a repeat training which we can re-host next week at a different time.
