I was indeed saving instead of exporting
I SUMMON MALLOW OR TINTER TO THE TS TO UPLOAD MY MISSION
Barely started trying EDEN editor today, does anyone know why when you save to MPMissions, it saves to mydocuments/arma3/MPMissions as a normal file instead of as a PBO file in steamapps/common/ARMA3/mpmissions?
Are you exporting them, or just saving them?

last one
Some of them are useless or just obscure and won't get used. Some we don't have matching gear for.
I could understand the lack of gear, but there is no such thing as a useless uniform, even if in comfy people will find uses for them.

Made the otherwise relatively tame comfy worth it.

Man I love you guys.
yo if you're in the document and making a mission, i need someone to step up and offer to make the first mission of the campaign as i don't think anyone has yet

OK.
OK.
I'd be down for working on my draft, but I need to take a look at the framework and streamline the strategic thing. [sp]And finish the spotting and artillery training mission.[/sp]
Really I just need one person to take responsibility for making it, so we can pour our collective spirit into them.
It'll also be a good way to get the ball rolling when we start having a mission built, helps enforce some themes etc
so give me a PM or put your name in the document and I'll come talk to you about it
also i'd like the person to come onto the arma server with me at some point and zeus out their mission to see if it works
i'm afraid i'm not going to be much help with the actual crunch (basically the only code i write is sql i'm afraid), but i can help with managing
What do people think of having a public document that will allow people to suggest mission ideas? Because I know that people most likely have an idea for a mission but lack the mission making experience, skill and/or time to make them.
Could have a small structure:
Basic backstory: What is the story behind the mission?
Location/Map: What is the location or the map that the mission would be based on? Can be left blank so mission makers can decide.
Forces involved: What forces to the players play as and who is OP for?
Description: What would happen in the mission (IE: Players secure a town, hold it off against counter-attack and then are extracted)
Player size: What the max player count?
Basic loadout: What is the primary weapon used, how much ammo ect. This could be left blank so the mission maker has an easier time.
Assets available: What kind of vehicles or specialist equipment would be used? Would vehicles be respawned or be a one-life kinda thing.
Respawn: What is the method of respawn? Timed? Checkpoint/Objective based? Could also include details of the bleedout timers and so on.
A lot of these sections could be left blank so the mission maker could decide what is best or filled in if you want something specific. Gives everyone a chance to be like "Wouldn't this kind of mission be rad?"
Just a thought.
Also Hajji Airlines will be uploaded tonight, I'll do it when I get home.

Something like a public google doc would be chaotic after a few suggestions, and it would probably result into people deleting / changing words of requests, trying to be funny (Wouldn't be the first time).
IMO. Make a github repo, and people can submit suggestions as Issues. (People suggesting mission ideas don't need to know anything about git or programming for this, since they only submit "issues")
In github, you can now set a Template, which gets used for new issues, which makes adding mission requests even easier, since you only gotta press "New Issue" and then fill in the blanks. And the entire thing is also protected against abuse, since only the creator or repo admins can change the contents of an issue.
You could even employ Labels to make filtering for ideas more easy if there are many ideas. (For example, labels marking which side you play on, BLUFOR, OPFOR, GREENFOR, and which side the enemy would be).
The entire thing is also a lot more persistent and changes are more easily tracked. Whereas a public google document where anyone can write to it can easily be tampered with or entire contents be deleted.

Google docs has a suggestion feature so it's not like it's a problem.
Google docs has a suggestion feature so it's not like it's a problem.
One can still spam the suggestions.
And there's no way to filter or categorize requests for easy filtering.
Sure you can use Ctrl + F, but it's not very effective at finging things.
Also periodically scrolling trough the entire document to look for suggestions is not really very effective, and requires active effort on your part, while on github you automatically get notificated if something requires your attention.
Also who's gonna maintain the document every day to manually check and accept changes? Whats gonna happen if the Document admin doesen't want to do the job anymore?

I would rather have some good skins and not have skins that are barely used clogging up the menu and taking space.

You think you have it bad?
Try driving on THIS.

OH WAIT THERE ISN'T ANY DRIVING TO BE DONE HERE, MIGHT AS WELL WALK!
Image related roadworks are finished but the M6 is almost always rammed every day so I take the tram instead of driving now.

Does anybody else have an issue where Arma is saying that you have like 80fps or 90fps, but in actuality the fps is somewhere around 20? I'm trying this on the Desert map for maximum fps, but changing things like anti-aliasing only increases the "virtual" fps, while the one I actually get stays around 20-30.
What the hell is going on?
[editline]26th February 2016[/editline]
I even set my fucking sampling rate to fucking 50% where everything looks like a potato, but my "client fps" is still 28...
[editline]26th February 2016[/editline]
setting the sample rate to 200% and turning everything to Ultra and AA to 8X only lowers my fps one frame to 27

Fixed wing has gone well in the past, but we could be better so Ratcliff is hosting fixed-wing training. He'll add more slots if there's enough interest.

I made a little tool to easily switch AI group ownership around to any connected clients. This would be useful if you needed to unload AI from the server onto clients you know have solid connections and decent CPUs. Tool available only to a logged in admin. Requires CBA on a dedicated server.
This stems from earlier discussions on headless clients and Zeus ownership.

cough cough Espionage Wars stuff. Ahem, anyways don't you dare get rid of that Fin camo. Next mission I'll make will use it, I swear.
I am currently not doing any texturing since I do not want to work on textures that might get removed.

I've actually been through and removed all the textures that were likely to get removed, so you're free to work on what you want without it dissappearing.
