justice
I wonder if that was a drunk unban as well as a drunk ban
You're pushing your luck you brave soul.
:snip:
Habasch is stuck in spectator after rejoining. Just saying this here, as some really smart person decided to disable global.
So i've deleted @CBA_A3 and reinstalled @CBA_A3 from the repo, and it's still not letting me in.
I'm either stupid or shit fucked up. Each time i load up the game and attempt to join, i get kicked and have to redownload from the repo for some reason.
so gg
It feels like i keep getting bullshit arma mod stuff happening to me everytime i try to join an op.
I am getting tired of it.
Charlie is done for.
SQL Dead
Medic Dead
there is no hope left
Turning off global chat just makes us more hardcore guys, stop being so casual :downs:
No respawn is BS when the AI just keeps shooting you when you're down...

Like Real Operators.
:v:
I don't see you peoples problem, this Battlefield op was pretty good

First engagement of Charlie. I'm so sorry toad ;_;
Right, this is a little bitch/moan/rant whatever but I feel like it needs to be said. I think that Sunday Mission should/must have Side/Global Chat enabled and have some element of respawn. That respawn could be instant, checkpoint based or whatever but it's included.
Let me argue why:
You've most likely heard me say this a good few times so apologies for sounding like a broken record. I work full time Monday-Friday, I don't have a great amount of free time after chores and dinner has been cooked but sometimes I can join the odd CD for an hour or so of fun.
Sunday OPs are literally the only time I get to play ARMA properly. Last day of the weekend and it's nice to end it with a decent game of ARMA. To die less than an hour in because of getting ARMAed or an AI fuck up is very disheartening. I got shot and went down. I then proceeded to continually get shot by the AI until I died and with no respawn I was just sitting there saying "Is that it...really? I can't play any more from THAT?"
I feel like I've just wasted my last bit of free time on the weekend when I could have played something else.
Not being able contact Zeus to be like "Yo, AI fucked up/got ARMAed, respawn please?" because side/global was disabled is moronic in my opinion due to what I just said and generally cutting off a means of contact is a silly idea.
Now I know there are missions where no respawn works; Campaign Spec Op missions where the outcome can determine what happens in the next mission I get understand why you don't want people respawning. Regular campaign missions where the progression of the campaign is determined by the outcome I can understand kinda but some respawn should still be inclined (such as a limit to the amount of respawns ect).
But for regular Sunday Ops, it doesn't work. Multiple people I've spoken to feel the same for their own reasons (work, time constraints and so on).
Anyways, that's just my opinion.

I love NVGs
It was the first time I shot an RPG and I managed to blow up a tank :v:
Also, how exactly does the voicechat work? There's ACRE that uses an ingame a radio with capslock and a teamspeak push-to-talk for a local area voice?
Guys we need to be tactical hardcore operators with our meme cannon. :downs:

So disabling Global is an objectively bad idea. This is because when you die in an illegitimate way, such as being hit with a bullet and flying into the ocean, unconscious, and drowning, you can't contact the Zeus to check it out and, if applicable, respawn you. It blocks communications for any administrative purpose, such as crashed, freezing, someone else dying illegitimately, etc.
The cannon was also a pretty "eh" thing to have on the mission. It is obviously supposed to be a meme cannon, and if it isn't, then you have severely fucked up in the creation of it. From the meme music to the targeting (in which you can not see where you are targeting, you must first test fire one transport pod and then use that as reference for your next shot), it was badly implemented and seemingly badly thought out.
No respawn is also a bad idea because of the reasons stated before, regarding bullshit ways to die and such. Fuck, even wave respawn would've been better. The tactical nuke and shit is a waste of time. Why implement it? You know anybody who is willing to bumble about on the map with no reference point as to where this nuclear material is, and try to find it? The geiger counters were a waste of time just as much as the nuke was.
Ace medical was seemingly badly implemented or straight-up bugged. There were no advanced medical wounds, it was just the slightly wounded or whatever shit. BUT the systems regarding heart rate and blood pressure were present in the op, creating a mass amount of confusion among squads in regards to helping their squadmates up.
All the units were loaded up with all kinds of bandages and shit, atropine, epi and morphine, when we didn't need all that shit, at all. Don't half-ass when it comes to medical shit. If you're trying to force us to use advanced medical on a Sunday op, then implement it correctly, instead of fucking it up and letting us deal with it.
To be honest, in my eyes, the mission looked like it was badly planned. Apparently it was supposed to be a Bikie Boys mission or some shit, which means it was going to be a mission entirely built open a fucking meme. From the cannons, to the medical problems, to the chickens at spawn, this mission was sub-par, Opec. [del]11/10[/del]
The sea finally got it's revenge, because it felt like I got stuck in that fucking pod :suicide:

I'm not sure if I even should bother with uploading the full footage, since its 5% of gameplay and 95% of me spectating.
It's just an arma mission guys, no need to send me death threats over how it went.
Well suddenly i am glad that i saved my time when arma bugged out.

Well it's now obvious how much you care about criticism regarding your missions and how to make them better. To be honest, I'd be surprised if the majority of this group would like to play another one of your missions again.

Not really an issue over how it "went", but rather it's "design" decisions.
ACE Advanced Medical is okay in my book. I personally like it. However consider that since we pretty much only play with basic medical, that not everyone knows how to use it. I've been advocating a slow ease-in in non-sunday missions to make people comfortable. Granted, I have no idea if that was an issue at all since Charlie squad didn't have an oppertunity to make use of the medical items, and I didn't stick around to spectate people after I died.
Disabling Global chat.
Big fucking mistake. There were several issues like Habasch being stuck in spectator and the mission effectively recognizing him as dead, and my radio suddenly dissapearing, having no way to contact teammates.
No-Respawn.
Again, big mistake. for many of us, the sunday OP is the only time we play Arma, and dying at the beginning of the mission due to bullshit reasons and basically having to quit and try again next sunday is bullshit.
Wave respawn? Sure, no problem. No Respawn at all? Fuck no.
Memes. The Meme saturation in this mission was ridiculous, Can't really put it in any other way.
Some minor things:
* The AddAction script has an option to don't make the action show up on the HUD. Having the action for the geigercounter periodically appearing on the screen was kinda annoying.
Ok let me address some of the points being brought up:
Global chat & respawn: So you wanted to ask for teleports and respawns? No need, since that wasn't happening. Welcome to Arma. Don't get shot. You could have backed out and rejoined anyway.
The launcher: You want to call it a meme, ok. You could have used it tactically but instead treated it as a joke. The transport pods could have inserted troops with pinpoint accuracy; instead the commander didn't line up the shot and sent a squad into the ocean. The UAV guy had access to the remote designators being launched. The nukes could have been used to flatten entire areas. There was a squad sitting on the site where the plutonium was located for several minutes; if they had checked their geiger counters they could have called it into the pilot to be transported.
ACE medical: ACE team still has a long way to go. Unpack the PBO and check it yourself.. Advanced was enabled. AI were supposed to stop shooting you when down, but they didn't. AI weren't supposed to go unconscious, but they did. If you were confused over how advanced medical works, why did you slot up as medic when the slot sign-up page clearly says advanced medical will be used? It also specified no respawn for that matter.
I'm looking forward to playing missions made by the haters (like that will ever happen).

No, JRM saves your death and keeps it that way

it played meme music and launched submarines. how is that not a joke
It pretty much was a meme, it played Bikey boys or whatever and broke my legs when I landed.
You could have backed out and rejoined anyway.
You mean like when I accidentally respawned in the beginning and was stuck in spectator after rejoining?
