Made a small guide for general tank stuff, glance through if you wish. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jljfZLiQgj4QCz8kAHgzu2CQinpqStlZ6lMsLCE8G_0/edit?usp=sharing
What about jockeying and quarter/half/full turns? Also ammo types, and their appropriate use
What about jockeying and quarter/half/full turns? Also ammo types, and their appropriate use
I was planning on going over that in game, I'll add more to it later but for the moment I just added stuff that I thought would be important.
I'll see if I can be there next mission to read the briefing to you
Dude That's awesome
thnk u

it wouldn't have been an fparma session without a tank doing a full 360 degree backflip. Cockdog Mk1 STRONG
It should be mentioned that a tank at one point SABOT'd a T-72 through about 4 layers of a building.
It should be mentioned that a tank at one point someone SABOT'd a T-72 through about 4 layers of a building.
I'm as astonished as you are
I'm sorry for signing up and not showing up, I had to leave in a rush
I need my hand held again. I found my old Saitek AV8R-01 and thought I'd give it a try in ARMA 3... But I can't seem to get the throttle/collective to behave. Ideally I'd like to use one of the throttle quadrants as a 0%-100% slider for throttle or collective. ARMA wants to use it as a +/- with 0% at center stick no matter how I try to configure it. Most annoyingly, in this configuration it will not give me 100% throw when I'm in an aircraft, only like 70% (if I hold shift it will go full travel). Everything is calibrated, and in the settings menu it is registering 100% travel on all axes.
I've started going through old video recordings and found this. [VID]https://my.mixtape.moe/zhsfon.mp4[/VID]

I just figured it out, I had to remove the old analog axis bindings from my previous controller. If you have more than one axis assigned to an analog control, it will split it up between the two. It will do this even though one of the bindings is for a controller that is not connected and has nothing to do with the current controller. Everything is working fine now aside from 0% throttle being mid stick, not sure what I can do about that but at least I can go to 100% now.
Have you tried adjusting deadzone?
It should be mentioned that a tank at one point SABOT'd a T-72 through about 4 layers of a building.
Here's a video of that in action. Quite useful once you know that can even work. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/lpltwq.webm[/vid]
Just a reminder for everyone that daylight savings went into effect in Europe last night. OP is still when the clock hits 20:00 in Denmark/Sweden/etc. Just be wary that for Americans that the op will be one hour later, from your perspective. [editline]27th March 2016[/editline] The website should be correct, granted it detects your timezone correctly.
Apologies in advance in the mission ends up going tits up, first time I have actually published anything with Eden via the modpack, so who knows. Using a standard 'select where you want fam (trademark)' respawn system, delay of 2 minutes on death. (You can't die (hopefully) when you go down so only respawn if you think you will never be rescued.)
Have you tried adjusting deadzone?
Deadzone is set to 0 on the throttle. It looks like the issue is that it splits the axis into a + and - with 0 centered on the stick, rather than just being a 0-100 slider. This makes some sense for collective on helicopters, where you need some negative pitch to auto-rotate, but not in fixed wing aircraft.

I'll just leave this here http://strawpoll.me/7200592
Oh shit, that new op time almost got me off guard, since we don't have daylight savings stuff for like few years already.
Arma 3 is a fat mess.
Really good mission, Sigma 3 best squad, killed a million tanks for none of our own.
Holy fuck that was a good mission Genuine heart racing action
