Anybody here play Altis life. Looks like it could be fun to get into but i dont know how to really start.
I spent 10 minutes on a server and I got cancer
I spent 10 minutes on a server and I got cancer
It's absolutely awful.
It's absolutely awful.
I played Sahrani Life in ARMA I, it was horrible.
I considered playing Takistan Life because I thought it might be fun to do some virtual jihad, but like every life mod these days you have to make an account on their website and get whitelisted. There's also the problem of needing to play civilian which is boring as sin. There's literally nothing fun to do in life mods outside of committing crime or stopping crime, which outside of the context of life is normally just called battle (Normal Arma has plenty of that).
Did you try to load arma 3 mods into arma 2 or something?
No i just loaded the new CUP E: no really guys, I loade up allow the new shit and it did this
The machine is rebelling against the abuser.

Honestly I think you guys are just playing Arma Life wrong. It's all about the people you meet in it. I once teamed up with a monk, an iron miner, and a Nigerian so we could learn how to fish and thus fund a revolution against KONY, a salt mining criminal cartel who also abducted children. Then another time, I got abducted by a drug growing group, driven to the rebel base (AKA in the middle of nowhere), and then forced to smoke so much weed my screen was just completely white for like 5 hours. After that, another group picked me up, took me to the middle of nowhere and broke my legs. I was about to die from blood loss when some British dude came out of nowhere and patched me up. The next 3 hours were spent absolutely destroying both groups creating the greatest partnership in Arma Life history. Then another time, me and a group of guys who I just randomly met tried to rob a bank together but we had fuck all idea what we were doing so all that ended up happening was me and 2 other guys in the group got our asses stuffed in jail. The other guys staged a pretty fucking amazing escape though. These were some of the most fun time I ever had in ARMA and it's because of the people I met. Oh and a little bit of roleplaying doesn't hurt either.
We should play some Mad Max TvT after the mission tomorrow/today. I wanna try it with a larger playerbase.
Voting Tinter as Immortan Joe [sp]Aw mediocre~[/sp]
Getting bored with the vanilla campaign. (That didn't take long, what a surprise.) What do I need to do again if I want to play with you guys? I might not be ready for tomorrow, but almost definitely next week.
IMO, the main entertainment factor of SP lies within mods, even on the campaign. When I play the campaign (Or any Mission in SP for that matter), I always have access to both Zeus and Arsenal, which really increases the entertainment factor. It basically allows you to play any SP mission by your own rules, as opposed to theirs. Can't get past a Checkpoint with Tanks near them? Simply be a tank crew on your own and blast them to hell (Worry not, the game is still difficult, as Titan missiles will fuck you up regardless, and while it gives you a lot more firepower, it also makes you a big and easy target if the enemy has AT). Have to defent a town/checkpoint, but you don't have any assets to defend with? Zeus has come to the rescue. You can now build anything to your hearts content. You can even build a badass castle with tanks on your castle walls. Artillery is engaging your position from afar? Drive to the nearest airport, Spawn a plane of your liking and bomb that position to hell. I do like the Vanilla Arma Campaign as a concept, but what kinda annoys me is that you pretty much don't get to play with any of the cool vehicles arma has to offer. Sure you may be able to raid an outpost and get a tank in some mission, but thats about it. 99% of the time in the campaign, you're a regular infantryman with Shitty gear, but thats okay because ~Asymmetric warfare~ Also after having played with mods ever since Operation Flashpoint, I can never go back to only using Vanilla Content in Arma 3. CUP, HLC, USAF RHS and tons of other assets are something I can not do without in SP. They also give tons of new possibilities with them, which arent possible without them. For example, spawning an LHD as a base, and then insert via Landing craft, transporting a tank and other vehicles is amazing.
After leading a glorious and bold raid on the airfield, Alpha was rewarded with the sight of seeing our one true god in Valhalla.

Also apparently people were spoiling star wars while we were having our squad briefing? Whichever cunts were, kindly don't, it's hardly been out that long and it's unbelievably rude and arrogant to presume that everyone must've seen it. e: I should clarify I have already seen it but a few people hadn't and it was just such a dick move, really frustrates me when everyone jumps on the whole "lol 4chan ruins everything so deal with it"
[vid]http://diwako.net/snaps/firststrike.webm[/vid]
This was absolutely hilarious and proper way to start an FP mission.
I think the problem with the harrier in the op was that Tomoe couldn't actually see anything - Irishbandit didn't set the viewdistance for the pilot, therefore, CAS couldn't see shit. Plus, the harrier doesn't have a crosshair for its gun, and combined with it being night pretty much made CAS blind.
He totally nailed that hostile chopper though.
He totally nailed that hostile chopper though.
It was never my intention, just extremely poor view distance and everything being green.
Here we have a very thoughtful discussion about really important things in life. [vid]http://diwako.net/snaps/thoughtful%20conversation.webm[/vid]

If we trim the mod pack just a little bit, we can fit in the realistic horse vuvlas.
