This is like the sixth helicopter crash i've walked away from unscathed.
Have a long-winded summary from the 3.5 Hour crazy OP for those who missed it.
Helvantis is a dangerous place now, but it never used to be; after the take over by the FEC nothing is the same anymore.
It's a cold and foggy morning and Micsi is checking his property in the disputed region of Helvantis, guarded by his elite team of bodyguards. They reach his mansion after fighting past FEC controlled areas, at which point they are attacked again by the FEC waiting inside it. Fighting off an attack helicopter sent after that they decide to take Micsi to a safe-house after deeming the mansion compromised, having to cross the highway to reach it; navigating through the ruins of military vehicles, civilian cars and random trash.
After running into IEDs they evacuate the vehicles and proceed on foot to the safe-house, under attack by an FEC Tank which was hiding inside the fog, after bypassing that and more enemy armour which is rolling past they near the bridge to get into the city.
What they had avoided previously returns and they are given an ultimatum; surrender or die, not wishing to risk his life in a futile attempt to run away Holt surrenders and is taken prisoner.
After resting day turns to night and the bodyguard team takes on the role of rescue team, hoping to find Holt in an industrial complex guarded by a more well equipped FEC. Performing the stealth mission to save him they alert the surrounding sentries but manage to take out the communications towers before reinforcements could arrive.
Holt's will under the night interrogation is broken and he gives up some information regarding Micsi's location. They begin to rush back to the safe-house as a message is heard over all frequencies. The Kyrelian Empire has decided to launch a surprise invasion and take Helvantis for themselves which is a long-time disputed territory for them, not knowing who they can trust the team make their way through the city and back to Micsi as the city slowly being reduced to rubble around them; tracers of every colour seeming to light up the dark night sky.
Upon returning they find the safe-house reduced to rubble but Micsi survived it's collapse unscathed and they prepare to defend themselves as rescue seems a distant dream in a sky filled with machines of war. They fight for what seems like forever battling FEC as they come at them through the darkness in ever increasing strength and numbers.
They recieve a message over the radio, a Kyrelian helicopter who they had originally seen as the enemy has been requested to pick them up; citing them as 'unknown non-uniformed combatants' they are given a landing site and told to proceed to move quickly; under fire from the FEC reinforcements sent after them. Through the fire and smoke of an advancing Kyrelian armoured squadron which is covering the retreat they finally reach safety and are transported home...

I'd say from going to just simple escort duty, to full on escape and evade and rescue/sabotage to defense and retreat that seemed to cover all bases, I'm glad you enjoyed as much as I had fun making it.
When do we get to play the sequel, when we're hired by the Kyrelian army to defend their homeland?
Am I deaf, blind, and retarded or did you never mention there was going to be CD today?
I thought we were going to remove the Sahrani variations from the mappack?
that's what i wanted
they're 70/50mb respectively anyway

The last 3 look like Hitler.
Lately I'm having a lot of trouble with enjoying FPARMA.
It's hard for me to enjoy a game when I get accused of purposefully ruining other people's experience every time. I realize that I haven't always been a great player, but that shouldn't allow other players to harass me.
I make mistakes like everyone else, but whenever I make one I get hounded, it's tiresome. But what's even worse is that I get blamed for doing stuff I haven't even done, sometimes this even leads to me getting kicked/banned from the game, you can imagine how frustrating this can be.
I realize this post is a little FPDRAMA-y but it's something that has been bother me for a while and hasn't been solved or gone away. I've always enjoyed playing with FPARMA and I've enjoyed playing with the people in FPARMA so I really hope it can stay that way.

I think all of this sort of stems from our laissez Faire attitude toward moderation
I think rigid rules and punishments would really help us out
Actually banning/kicking for shittery, etc

This is next to impossible. Admins can't be everywhere all the time knowing what happened and who did what and when one person says one thing and another says another no one knows who did what. I'd love to kick/ban some people but if they're gonna say it wasn't fair afterwards and I can't prove them wrong then it's all moot. The only thing I can do is go off what I witness in the moment, and if it's some mass team killing and I'm caught in it then it's much harder to figure out who's responsible. Either that or I need video proof from someone else. This means in 90% of the cases people get off with no punishment.
Not to mention, there's only 1 admin at all times due to how Arma works.
Isn't there a way to log teamkills on the server?
Maybe a small addon that logs who got teamkilled by which player and which kind of weapon.

Very complicated to do when using ACE. You can detect when someone goes unconscious, but not for what reason.
