I think that's because Kaukassus' server is a bad.
Out of curiosity, do you guys ever organize PvP missions?
No one ever makes them, so not really. If they were made there would be people who would join (just not as much as a Sunday COOP)
I would love to do some PvP. Way more challenging.
I know certain rocket launchers cause the game to crash, the IGLA being one of them.
No one ever makes them, so not really. End Game is fun, I enjoy that it is balanced enough and has an objective you feel like you can complete, balance being the key word. One Team cannot have something the other team can't counter-act, granted for example the Helicopter in dog-day evening would be loud enough to stop the criminals from hearing anything but it couldn't kill them, and in Boogie Monster the monsters had to add-action you to kill you, so working in Groups often stopped them and got them killed as you could all turn to fire on them. Not saying that nobody would intentionally make something unfair for a team, but nobody likes being killed on the cheap and it should all come down to how they planned and the skill of each individual to complete the objective/task whatever it is. It doesn't necessarily have to be anything unique either although that helps make it iconic and makes people want to play it more than once, Dust2 being an example as it's a map everyone knows and is a nice warm up game. You could also just use Comfy Downtime because of it's 4 way ability but it's not exactly quick to setup like a properly planned and created TVT would be. Either way I would all be for trying it again and me myself did a Tank TVT in the past I would love people to play again given enough energy to recreate it again.
You can install Ares on your computer, design a map, generate a .sqf file, copy it. Then when you want to play a mission you just execute the command via the server and it'll populate the world with AI and props. It's how I have a ton of missions filled up.
I think that's because Kaukassus' server is a bad.
Ah yes, that's why the Arma3 client of a few people receives a Segmentation Fault sometimes.
A segmentation fault (aka segfault) is a common condition that causes programs to crash; they are often associated with a file named core . Segfaults are caused by a program trying to read or write an illegal memory location.
Obviously The Servers's fault. On a more serious note: At this point the sample size is just a handful of people, and considering that some people crash on many OP's on profan's server aswell, I cannot say if it's an actual Issue with the Server (It's running within the recommended BI Environment) or if it's just a mere correlation with the existence of a new server. It's running the Default A3 Server with no modifications apart from the fuckload of addons (Some of which are well known to cause crashes.). It's also running on Windows 10, which is the current Recommended Operating System. At this point I'm gonna save me the headache and remove the FP related stuff from the Server and use it for the group I originally intended it to be used. Which has not experienced any crashes or issues with the Server at all. However if you can provide me with a Crash dump and the source code of Arma3, I'd be more than glad to look into why it' crashing for a few people.
Whats the point, lets wait for Kojima to release a military simulator.
Whats the point, lets wait for Kojima to release a military simulator.
man guard post have to shit at certain intervals thanks kojima stuck out in rain, begin to sneeze constantly see figures in distance, raise weapon and begin to fire at them bullets do nothing because this is a kojima game and i'm a guard die from being shot to death by an insane man/hot chick who then monologues for 25 minutes wooooooooooooooooooaaaOAAAOOOOOOOOAAAAAH

Totally.
Would anyone be up for CD later? There are some interested parties, I'm just trying to gauge interest
I'm up for it.
Do you accept people who are on the brnk of death from lack of sleep
As long as you write a note with your signatur on saying " Don't blame FPARMA, i knew this could happen."
Im in [editline]21st January 2016[/editline] How soon we playing?
-snip-
please no
Nobody paid the /a3g/ server bill. So our group died overnight and its looking like nobody is enthusiastic enough to fix it back up. So there is discussion between a lot of us about just migrating as many people as we can to you guys. edit: By force.
Is that why the thread in vg is gone.
-snip-
I'm not sure about the by force thing but whoever wants to play seriously is welcome
Does anyone have a time for when we're playing?
Does anyone have a time for when we're playing?
In 30 minutes I guess
No, the thread doesn't get posted anymore because nobody talked about ARMA anymore. There was a few people who got pissed at the group and started just flooding the thread with total nonsense. That went on for about 4 months before somebody tried to change 'Arma 3 general' to 'Milsim general'. That didn't work. You would try and discuss say, the Katiba or whatever, just anything ARMA related, and you'd get either no replies or a bunch of replies that distort the conversation into shitting on members of /a3g/. That was the entire thread, just people intentionally sabotaging the group by spamming it with bullshit so frequently that it became a worthless thread. In addition, we had this one guy that was a total power tripping retard. Turned out he was one of the 4chan mods and had been manipulating the thread to meet his own ends. So the group died between retards being over-political about a literal video game and shitheads being shitheads. But that is the price of having your main influx of new members come from a forum where you can post anonymously without repercussions. I mean, I can theorize how much of it is attributed to one guy, but we'll never know for sure. Because we stopped making the thread, we stopped getting new players, and Ops went from two sessions a day to one session on weekends (or something like that), and player numbers dropped from 30 ~ 50 people an Op to 10 ~ 20, and now it has finally died.
Well, those people who do that get banned if they deliberately team kill or mess shit up hence why we got a logging system. Either way I don't see any issues as having more people who want to play seriously is only a good thing, but you can understand peoples wariness as /a3g/ is more infamous than famous.

That was fun
