some men take my slot tomorrow because I'm too damn d
some men take my slot tomorrow because I'm too damn d
We're down both platoon commanders.
We're down both platoon commanders.
Meh who needs command people to order us around anyway
If no one takes the Commander slots we'll just say we mutinied.
We'll just call in our replacement. Sixtyfour/Tagus
Moment when i realized i can run my game at 90-100% sampling instead of 80% and it stops looking like a blurry potato
Man. I haven't be able to play very much at all with you guys. I'd join in tomorrow, but I'm gonna be spending the afternoon getting fingerprinted for my new job.
Not just down both PLs but there's also a lack of squad leads and Bradley commanders for the mech inf. You could possibly do without the Bradley commanders as from what I've read of the (likely outdated since the 90s) organization of Bradley mech inf suggests that the squad leader takes up the turret position when mounted, could be useful in Arma so that the lead can see exactly what the fuck is going on when maneuvering. I'd like to step up but there's the whole 5-6am thing that comes with being in straya'.
People need to step up and fill the leadership roles, they're more important than most of the other slots.
I think people are too scared because they don't want to fuck it up.
I'll take a squad role if needed. I just need a quick tutorial on using both radios [editline]7th February 2016[/editline] I took SQL of Anton. I'll do my very best. I remember there are prebriefings correct? When are those for SQL
I think people are too scared because they don't want to fuck it up.
Maybe it's the fact that SQL's (Or Commanders to that extent) get shit on if they do badly in OP's, and people who are fairly inexperienced when it comes to commanding are afraid of this happening. Taggart's proposed solution for this problem (yesterday or so in TS): "Just don't be bad at it" also solves nothing. No wonder barely anyone apart from the ones who are already experienced wants to step up as a commander or SQL. Why would you take up more responsibility, only to get shit on in the end if you do badly. Personally, it's highly unlikely that I'll ever go into a command position apart from a vehicle commander again. Why would I go into a slot that is not as fun (Subjective), more stressful and may result in me getting shit on after the OP if I don't perform to the standards that people expect?
Where the hell do i sign up for a slot? :v: It's been a good 9 months since ive not been that busy and i want to get back into arma.

Gonna try my hand at being a bradley driver, any tips?
Gonna try my hand at being a bradley driver, any tips?
you're basically the commander's proxy so take it easy but keep your eyes open.
i would take a bradley commander but i can't go back man, somewhere out there my soul is still trapped on raspberry road
i would take a bradley commander but i can't go back man, somewhere out there my soul is still trapped on raspberry road
That's some dark souls shit man Imagine that, some players on a,different mission are seeing the phantoms of our players fight down that road. Raspberry Road will be with us, always.
i would take a bradley commander but i can't go back man, somewhere out there my soul is still trapped on raspberry road
You are just missing your dedicated crew.
The only thing I left on Raspberry Road was the stable vehicle physics.
My hopes and dreams died on the raspberry road with Cloak's IFV
My hopes and dreams died on the raspberry road with Cloak's IFV
That IFV got hit several times on Raspberry road, but it survived the whole OP! Since I cropped it to the driver window you cannot see what is going on in the first clip. We JUST got to Raspberry road and immediately hit a mine. [vid]https://my.mixtape.moe/ksqitv.webm[/vid]

The layers system is probably my favourite feature, so many props placed down and it just clutters up everything, but now you can just drag it into a layer and call it something like 'spawn' and then boom.

The only way anyone will get better at commanding is actually playing those rules. We should just cut some slack for those new ones.

What most likely will happen is people shouting "Don't let inexperienced people lead op's / Squads".
Well then you just get the same people leading OPs in a cycle. So people shouldn't complain when one person is missing and there's no-one to fill the position because of mass fear. Can't have it both ways
