ARMA Series (I, II, III) - v. Waiting For 3DEN Edition - Games

You shouldn't have a blockade for assuming commander roles, but you should educate people on how to assume responsibility. FTLs need to have an idea of what's going on. Individual grunts need to have a grip on radio structure and on who to contact and what to do if the officers get killed, etc. You can't have all the brains of a unit isolated in a few individuals.

As much as I'd like to help this ship from sinking before it reaches the battlefield, you caught me in a bad week.

Berta squad needs a SQL, Brad commander and a medic. Can any rifleman from a squad switch to one of those roles, they are important.

Fuck it, I'll spring for a leadership slot next week. Depending of course on what my schedule looks like. I don't have a lot of leadership experience, but I've seen enough of it in the Guard to know that it's a stressful job on the best of days. I'll probably handle it like my irl squad leader does. Laid back, gets everyone squared away, takes care of business. I'm only a PFC, so hopefully I don't fuck it up too badly. If all else fails, I can fall back on my old Drill Sergeant's leadership style and yell at everyone until they cry.

Like with Rifleman, I'm gonna need a quick tutorial on how to use two different radios on the same character. I'm also gonna want to get in contact with whoever's on my squad prior to the op, in order to touch base with and get to know them. Same deal with the other leadership.
