I keep stepping on my own campfire dammit.
also the inventory screen is slick as fuck
is there a way to save btw? I can't seem to find a way to do so. And if there is, does anyone know where the savegames are stored?
I found a werd cave where the water disappears if you enter it. It leads to some creepy guys sleeping. I woke them up and they followed me to my base, massacring me at it.

I believe you save using your shelter. If you press B there's a small written tutorial in the survival guide. I haven't gotten that far since I got gang banged right out of the plane.
Sorry guys for my stream, I don't know why the stream froze. Tried restarting it, but still didn't work.
The game looks amazing btw.
As early into the development this game is, the AI is outstanding so far.
[sp]I was building a camp on a beachhead and looked up and saw 2 of them just watching me, they then soon turned around and walked away.
About 10 minutes later a whole pack came to my beach and placed a stick down and rammed a head onto it and began searching for me.[/sp]
Spoilered in-case people want to be surprised by how some things happen.
Best experience.

Just tested the shelter thing but my game didn't save.
I wouldn't even call the game that rough now. There are some glitches but only the falling thought the cave floor ruined my game experience. Even though there is only a fraction of the things you can build and items, the unpredictable AI along with the environment makes each playthough different. Graphics are pretty good, do the job well, mine runs at 60fps at max settings in 2K resolution. The sounds and animations are pretty good, hitting enemies has a good weight to it. Same with being hit. Combat isn't very glitchy, and pretty fluid. The wildlife has great animations, though birds are a bit floaty; almost like butterflies.
Right now I would totally suggest throwing down 15 dollars for this, as things will only get better, Coop will be tons of fun too.
Also, I'm sure none of us have taken the time to explore what is actually in this current version, there might be a lot more surprises.

you should tag stuff like this, in my opinion. The little details which surprise you are half the fun.
IS IT OUT!?...
Oh my jesus...
My inventory keep glitching out :(
Whenever I reached "Cannot carry anomore", It started duping the items I was holding in my hands, so after a while I've ended up with like 20 axes at my feet... or holding an axe, head and a skinless rabbit ... all in one hand.
It's definitely in Alpha still. Pretty solid in some aspects
Has anyone managed to get the game to save?
Will probably wait until v0.2 comes out in a few weeks till I sink into it. At the moment it's looking pretty damn solid for an alpha.
How is the AI when it comes to stealth and the dark? I'm kinda hoping we'll have some Penumbra/Amnesia/Thief esque stealth somewhere down the line.
I wonder if you'll be able to co-exist with some of the other mutant communities since the early access page mentions they have different morals

Does this mean we could potentially play the different mutants off against each other? That excites me
I'm sure there will be hotfixes, they won't make us wait 16 days in order to save haha
I survived for 2 days.
[sp] Was walking around having no clue what to do, then I suddenly got ambushed and knocked out by a pack of monsters, then woke up in the cave next to all the other dead guys, was wandering the caves for a while and then got killed.[/sp]
Looks pretty solid for a 0.01, there a glitches and pop-ins but the base game looks fun
Guys, why aren't my changes to the graphics saved? I'm trying to run it on my laptop, putting everything to the lowest options possible, but when I start the game and check the options again, everything is set back to high.
Been getting a crash every time I click New Game
Downloading and installing now.
I'm really liking the sound of this AI,
Im a sucker for really good AI in video games.
are the female mutants nude under that loincloth i swear i saw a bean by the flash of lightning
Man this game is brutal.
[sp]finally escape the cave and continue building my base when a patrol of mutants find me. I try my best to run to the ocean because they don't like water. One of them kept up with me and killed me. My last sight was me falling into the water, the mutant sitting on the coast, backing up from the water. He just barely got me.[/sp]
Shame the usual songs goes around with "Ughhhh how could they release such a buggy/unstable game?!?!", watching a stream and it looks really fun. I'd buy it when it has co-op since i am too much of a chicken to play it solo.
It's hard, that's for sure. Maybe the trick is not build to close to the plane crash.

also if your water is glitching out just go into the menu and back out again
Alright, what are the overall opinions? Are people treating this game like a finished product? Does this game have potential? I plan on buying it soon to try it out.
I think mutants are too common though, It's impossible to stay undetected for longer than 10 minutes. They should be halved in numbers.
Wish you could pause the game.
Can't leave your computer for 2 minutes without getting your skull smashed in.
I'm actually amazed by the game... sound feels a bit artificial, but man, it's great for an alpha...

I'd say wait for it. Sadly most opinions i have seen are from people who judge the game as a finished game but it has some serious potential, a non-horror option would be lovely though :v:
