Had a close encounter with 3 cannibals but somehow escaped in the nick of time.

The new cave system is great. Does anyone know if you wake up in a randomly generated cave (less likely) or if it's randomly selected from the available caves (more likely)? The changelog entry is a bit ambiguous.

There's a little island off to the right side of the first picture. I'm wondering if I could build a bridge of rafts across to get to it.

I built the raft just to see how it worked, pushed it in to the water, jumped up on it, and it immediately flipped itself over and is now stuck that way.

I wanted to see sharks, how they work. I jumped into the water, then I saw one. Adrenaline rush. Started to swim towards him, I was so nervous. Then he turned and started to swim towards me, I panicked. And he opened his mouth and jumped into me. [sp]And nothing happened. He clipped through me and swam on. Goddamnit, at least kill me if you make me so paranoid.[/sp]

My camp is littered with effigies. Im surprised that anyone that approaches doesn't instantly take a dump right then and then. If you actively attack the natives will they aggressively fight back or retaliate in a bigger force, or is that just for when you have a big camp? Also for some reason, they keep spitting blood and staring at me intensely. I dunno why though, i approach and they won't attack me. I had one leader start kneeling to me after i killed the two he was with. The AI is needless to say pretty damn smart.

Where are the best places to make camp? Right now I have a hunting shelter on the beach right next to the boat, but mutants come a fair bit.

THEY CAME OUT OF THE GOD DAMNED WATER!!! Which is supposedly fixed, so yay.

The AI is needless to say pretty damn smart.[/QUOTE] I read somewhere that some of the natives think the player is a god, and whatever religion they practice revolves around human sacrifice so when they kneel before you they are offering themselves up as sacrifice.

Have they fixed the near unbeatable AI's hitpoints yet?
